Penitents station

Vallcarca i els Penitents is a neighbourhood in the northernmost part of Gràcia, a district of Barcelona. Locked between two hills, Putget and El Coll, it grew out of a few scattered settlements, namely L'Hostal de la Farigola, Can Falcó, Can Mas and Can Gomis. The Parish Church, Virgen de Gracia y San José, popularly known as the “Josepets,” is the location of a Traditional Latin Mass, authorised by bishop Reig Casanova in 2021.

Parc de la Creueta del Coll (IPA: [ˈpaɾɡ də lə kɾəˈwɛtə ðəl ˈkɔʎ]; "Park of the Corner of the Hill") is a park in the Gràcia and Horta districts of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The park was created from an abandoned quarry as part of the nou urbanisme developments during the 1992 Summer Olympics by architects Martorell, Bohigas and Mackay.The park contains the sculpture Elogi de l'Aigua, by Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida, a massive concrete claw suspended by steel cables above a flooded quarry. Another steel sculpture, Escultura (English: Totem) by Ellsworth Kelly is near the entrance gate.

Vallcarca is a Barcelona Metro station in the Vallcarca i els Penitents neighbourhood, in the Gràcia district of Barcelona.The station is served by line L3.The station opened in 1985 when the section of line L3 between Lesseps and Montbau stations was inaugurated.The station is located underneath Avinguda de Vallcarca (formerly known as the Avinguda de l'Hospital Militar), between Carrer de l'Argentera and the Vallcarca bridge. It has three entrances and can be accessed from either side of Avinguda de Vallcarca, as well as from Avinguda de la República Argentina. It has twin side platforms that are 93 metres (305 ft) long and which are accessed from the entrance lobby by stairs and escalators.

Vall d'Hebron is a Barcelona Metro station, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, and named after the nearby Vall d'Hebron neighbourhood. The station is served by line L3 and is the northern terminus of line L5.The line L3 section of the station is situated under the Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron and the Ronda de Dalt expressway, between Avinguda del Jordà and Camí de la Granja. It has two tracks and two side platforms that are 95 metres (312 ft) long. The line L5 section of the station is situated at a depth of 41.5 metres (136 ft) below the Avinguda del Jordà and the Carrer de Coll i Alentorn. It has a single central island platform served by two tracks.Vall d'Hebron is one of three stations where lines L3 and L5 connect, the others being Sants Estació and Diagonal metro stations. Like both these two stations, the platforms of the two lines at Vall d'Hebron are connected by an underground passageway. However, there is no track connection between the two lines at Vall d'Hebron. There are depots for both lines adjacent to the station.The station was opened in 1985, when the section of line L3 between Lesseps and Montbau stations was inaugurated. The line L5 section of the station was opened on 30 July 2010, when the extension from Horta station opened.

La Teixonera is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The name honours Joaquim Taxonera, who urbanized the neighbourhood.

The Tramvia Blau (Catalan for "blue tramway") is one of Barcelona's three tram systems. It is a 1.276 kilometres (0.793 mi) long heritage streetcar line serving a hilly area of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district between the terminus of FGC Barcelona Metro L7 and the Funicular del Tibidabo.The Tramvia Blau is operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) but it is not part of Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) integrated fare network. Tickets must be purchased from the tram conductor.The Tramvia Blau is one of only two first generation tramways to survive in Spain, along with the Tranvía de Sóller on the island of Majorca.The Tibidabo tramway has been closed for reconstruction since Spring 2018.

Avinguda Tibidabo is a station of the Barcelona Metro and is the terminus of FGC-operated line L7 (also known as Línia de Balmes). The station is situated under Carrer de Balmes at Plaça de John F. Kennedy, the former street's junction with the Avinguda Tibidabo and Passeig de Sant Gervasi.The station was opened in 1954, along with the rest of the branch from the junction at Gràcia station. It has a single terminal track, which ends at a buffer within the station. Just outside the Gràcia end of the station, this track diverges into the twin running tracks of the L7. The terminal track is flanked on both sides by 66 metres (217 ft) long platforms, which can accommodate a three car train.A concourse at the terminal end of the station is linked by four lifts or a long stairway to a subsurface ticket hall under Plaça de John F. Kennedy. This has a single entrance, in the centre of the square. Here connection is made with the historic Tramvia Blau, which provides a link to the Funicular del Tibidabo and hence Tibidabo itself. Several bus routes also serve the station.

El Coll | La Teixonera is a Barcelona metro station located in the Horta-Guinardó district. The station opened on 30 July 2010 as part of a 3 station extension to line 5. It is situated on the border between three neighbourhoods, El Carmel, La Teixonera and El Coll. As its name suggest it mainly serves the two neighbourhoods El Coll and La Teixonera even though one of the three station entrances is located in the neighbourhood El Carmel. The station situated under a steep hill, holds various records for Barcelona metro. The eastern entrance serving the neighbourhoods El Coll and El Carmel has the highest elevated station entrance on the whole network at 181.60 metres (596 feet) above sea level (one elevator though reaches an unspecified height of around 189 meters or 620 feet above sea level), the station also includes the longest lift on the whole network with 63 metres (207 feet). The station also has the highest number of moving walkways (12) for any station in Barcelona. The height difference between the platform and the eastern street level entrance is larger than on any other station on the network with 73.53 metres (241 feet) and 80+ metres including the unspecified elevator, the platform is located 108.1 metres (354 feet) above sea level. Directly east of the station the metro runs deeper than anywhere else on the network, 105 metres under ground. The east and the west station entrances are the most spaced apart on the whole network, over 400 metres (1300 feet) by foot.

The Tibidabo Funicular (Catalan: Funicular del Tibidabo; Spanish: Funicular del Tibidabo) is a funicular railway in the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The line connects Plaça del Doctor Andreu, the upper terminus of the Tramvia Blau, with the summit of Tibidabo, where there is an amusement park and a church, the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor.The funicular is one of three in Barcelona, the others being the Funicular de Vallvidrera and the Funicular de Montjuïc. After modernisation works the funicular recommenced operations with new trainsets nicknamed "La Cuca de llum" in June 2021 during a period of upgrade works from 2019. The Tramvia Blau, along with a parallel bus service, provides a connection from Avenida Tibidabo metro station. This is the terminus of line 7 of the Barcelona Metro, operated by the FGC from a city terminus at Plaça de Catalunya.Like the Tramvia Blau, the funicular is not part of Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) integrated fare network. Tickets must be separately purchased from ticket offices or machines at the terminal stations prior to travel.

The Vall d'Hebron University Hospital is a public and university affiliated hospital founded in 1955. It belongs to the Catalan Health Institute and is the hospital complex with the highest volume of interventions in Catalonia, Spain. It is located at the bottom of Collserola, at the north of Barcelona, and its influence area includes the districts of Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris and Sant Andreu. In actuality, it is the most important hospital complex in Catalonia. A study from 2009 places the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital among the four most important reference centers in Spain, and one of the twenty most important hospitals in the country.The hospital complex is divided into three separate areas: the general hospital, the maternity hospital, and the orthopedics and rehabilitation hospital. It also has an outpatient surgical unit at Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili. It currently employs over 7.000 professionals and has an annual budget of 580 million euros (2012). The hospital has 1.146 beds (182 reserved for critical patients), 45 operating rooms, 381 outpatient offices, and 3 emergency departments.
