Rajakilpakkam

Masjid-e-Anwari is a mosque situated in the suburb of Rajakilpakkam between Velachery and Tambaram, it comes under Sembakkam Municipality situated on the outskirts of Chennai, India. The mosque was constructed by Nawab Zulfiqar Khan, an officer in the Mughal army in 1703.

Chennai Om Sri Skandashramam is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Murugan (Swaminatha Swami) in Chennai, India. It is located at Selaiyur, Tambaram, a southern neighbourhood of Chennai. There is also an idol of Saint Sathguru Santhananda Swamigal, who built the temple.

Sembakkam is a residential locality in Tambaram City in Tamil Nadu State, India. It is located between Tambaram and Medavakkam and belongs to Tambaram Taluk Region. Selaiyur is a neighbourhood of Chennai, India. This place is located on the Tambaram–Velachery Road. Long ago, this place was called as Silaiyur. The East Tambaram bus terminus is about 3 km away and passengers can also board the buses in Camp Road Junction bus stop located in the neighbourhood.

Madambakkam Lake, or Madambakkam aeri, is a rain-fed reservoir in Madambakkam, Chennai, India, that is filled only during the monsoon seasons. The lake covers an area of 250 acres.

Chitlapakkam aeri, or Chitlapakkam lake, is an urban lake located in Chitlapakkam, Chennai, India. It is the chief water body in the neighbourhood. Originally measuring 86.86 acres, the lake has currently shrunken to 46.88 acres. The lake was last restored in 2003.

It borders Selaiyur in the west, Sembakkam in north and Vengaivasal in north east and Sithalapakkam in east. The town is well known for its greeneries and the centuries old Dhenupureeswarar temple.

Nanmangalam Reserve Forest is a protected forest located in Chengalpattu district, about 24 km from the city centre. It is located at Medavakkam on Velachery High Road between Velachery and Tambaram. The reserve forest has an area of 320 hectares. However, the total area of the forest is 2,400 hectares.
