Belgrave is a historic village in Cheshire, England. The area is part of the estates owned the Dukes of Westminster who have their seat at Eaton Hall, Cheshire. The village has a few houses and the Grosvenor Garden Centre. Belgrave Lodge is located at the western end of the 1.7 mi (2.7 km) main approach to Eaton Hall, which is known as the Belgrave Avenue. The village is also one of the Duke of Westminster's subsidiary titles, Viscount Belgrave (1784) which is the name of Belgravia in London, which was developed in the 1820s by Thomas Cubitt on land originally owned by Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster. Belgravia, which is one of the capital's most expensive districts, is characterised by grand terraces of white stucco properties. Many of the street names of Belgravia have a local connection to Cheshire such as Eaton Square (Eaton Hall), Chester Square (Chester), Kinnerton Street (Lower Kinnerton), and Eccleston Place (Eccleston).

Sir John Glynne's Canal was a canal in England built by Sir John Glynne. It ran from Saltney, just outside Chester to Bretton, a distance of about one mile. It was built about 1768, and was in use until 1779. It was used for the transportation of coal from mines in Flintshire into Chester.

Belgrave Lodge is a house at the west end of Belgrave Avenue, the road connecting the B5445 road between Chester and Wrexham, and Eaton Hall, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Bretton Hall is located on the border of England and Wales close to the village of Bretton, Flintshire, Wales. The original fortified manor house was surrounded by a moat, it was replaced by a brick built house adjacent to the original site in the 18th century. The moat and foundations of the original house remain. The earliest references to Bretton Hall refer to a marriage between Isobel, daughter of Ralph Holland of Bretton and Hugh de Ravenscroft of Cheshire in the 15th century.

The Lache ( LAYTCH; sometimes simply Lache) is a housing estate in the city of Chester, in Cheshire, United Kingdom, with a population of around 10,000. It is located approximately 2 miles (3 km) southwest of the ancient city, with good local transport links en route to Saltney. The main streets are Cliveden Road, which runs through the centre of the estate, and Sycamore Drive. The area runs almost continuously into Westminster Park and Saltney.

Marlston-cum-Lache is a former civil parish, now in the parishes of Dodleston and Eaton and Eccleston, in the Cheshire West and Chester district and ceremonial county of Cheshire in England. In 2001 it had a population of 112, increasing to 166 at the 2011 Census. Marlston cum Lache is served by the A483 road which is the main road to Chester. The civil parish was abolished in 2015 and became part of Dodleston and Eaton and Eccleston."Cum" in its name is Latin for "with".

Dodleston is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village is situated to the south west of Chester, very close to the England–Wales border. The civil parish includes Balderton, Gorstella, Lower Kinnerton and Rough Hill. It is one of the three old Cheshire parishes which are situated on the Flintshire side of the River Dee.Dodleston has a village shop with post office, village hall, village green, a C of E primary school, the Grade II listed St Mary's Church and the Grade II listed 'Red Lion' pub. It also contains some good examples of buildings by the 19th-century architect John Douglas. At the 2001 census, the population of Dodleston was 777, reducing to 715 at the 2011 census.
