The hôtel de la Marine (also known as the hôtel du Garde-Meuble) is an historic building located on place de la Concorde in Paris, to the east of rue Royale. It was designed and built between 1757 and 1774 by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, on the newly created square first called Place Louis XV. The identical building to its west, constructed at the same time, now houses the hôtel de Crillon and the Automobile Club of France. The Hôtel de la Marine was originally the home of the royal Garde-Mobile, the office managing the furnishing of all royal properties. Following the French Revolution it became the Ministry of the French Navy, which occupied it until 2015. It was entirely renovated between 2015 and 2021. It now displays the restored 18th century apartments of Marc-Antoine Thierry de Ville-d'Avray, the King's Intendant of the Garde-Meuble, as well the salons and chambers later used by the French Navy. A separate part displays the Al Thani Collection presenting international and inter-cultural works of art from the collection of Sheik Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani.

Maxim's is a restaurant in Paris, France, located at No. 3 rue Royale in the 8th arrondissement. It is known for its Art Nouveau interior decor. In the mid 20th century Maxim's was regarded as the most famous restaurant in the world.

Maxim's Art Nouveau "Collection 1900", also known as the Musée Art Nouveau - Maxim's, is a private collection of Art Nouveau objects and decor, located in the 8th arrondissement above Maxim's Paris restaurant at 3, Rue Royale, Paris, France. It is open for guided tours in afternoons except Monday and Tuesday; an admission fee is charged. Pierre Cardin (the owner since 1981 of Maxim's restaurant, a symbol for Art Nouveau) has collected for over 60 years objects from the Belle Epoque. There are more than 550 pieces from all over the world, signed by Louis Majorelle, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Émile Gallé, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Clement Massier. These objects are displayed in a 12-room apartment building (three floors) which is now classified as a historic monument. Highlights of the collection include furniture by Majorelle, a sofa inspired by Antoni Gaudí and recreations of bedrooms from that time period.

The Musée Bouilhet-Christofle was a private museum located in the 8th arrondissement at 9, rue Royale, Paris, France. The museum's main collection was located in a Parisian suburb at 112, rue Ambroise Croizat, Saint-Denis, France. The museum closed in 2008.The Maison Christofle was founded in 1845 by Charles Christofle (1805-1863), and became silversmith to Napoleon III and one of the major silversmiths in nineteenth-century France. The museum contained more than 2000 items of silver plate and cutlery reflecting the company's history from its founding to the present day. It contained examples of naturalism, Orientalism, Japonism, Art Nouveau, items produced for the universal expositions, Art Deco, etc., and documents a wide range of techniques including electroplating, enameling, and so forth. It also contained displays on the history of silver production, table settings, and table manners.

The rue Royale (French pronunciation: ​[ʁy ʁwajal]) is a short street in Paris, France, running between the Place de la Concorde and the Place de la Madeleine (site of the Church of the Madeleine). The rue Royale is in the city's 8th arrondissement. Among the well-known addresses on this street is that of Maxim's restaurant, at number 3. On 12 August 1843, the rue Royale was the scene for a bizarre phenomenon, when tens of thousands of butterflies landed, causing chaos and swarming the shops and restaurants. The pillars of the Madeleine were, reportedly, "covered".

Porte Saint-Honoré was a city gate in Paris. It was the main entry point into the city from the west, towards Saint-Germain-en-Laye (with porte Saint-Denis to the north towards Saint-Denis, porte Saint-Antoine to the east towards Vincennes, and porte Saint-Jacques to the south towards Orléans). There were three gates that bore the name, demolished rebuilt further and further along rue Saint-Honoré as the city expanded - they dated to the early 13th, late 14th and early 17th centuries.

Les Ambassadeurs was a restaurant in Paris, France, situated in the Hôtel de Crillon. It closed on March 31, 2013, when the hotel closed for renovations, and in 2017 the space reopened as a bar, with Les Ambassadeurs being replaced by a smaller restaurant.

Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption is a Roman Catholic church in the First arrondissement of Paris, France. The building was constructed between 1670 and 1676 when it was consecrated. Since 1844 it has been the main Polish church of Paris, situated at 263, Rue Saint-Honoré.

The Luxor Obelisks (French: Obélisques de Louxor) are a pair of Ancient Egyptian obelisks, over 3,000 years old, carved to stand either side of the portal of the Luxor Temple in the reign of Ramesses II (c. 1250 BC). The right-hand (western) stone, 23 metres (75 ft) high, was moved in the 1830s to the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France, while the left-hand (eastern) obelisk remains in its location in Egypt. The Luxor Obelisk in Paris was classified officially as a monument historique in 1936.

The Place de la Concorde (French: [plas də la kɔ̃kɔʁd]) is one of the major public squares in Paris, France. Measuring 7.6 ha (19 acres) in area, it is the largest square in the French capital. It is located in the city's eighth arrondissement, at the eastern end of the Champs-Élysées. It was the site of many notable public executions, including the executions of King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and Maximilien Robespierre in the course of the French Revolution, during which the square was temporarily renamed Place de la Révolution.

The Fontaines de la Concorde are two monumental fountains located in the Place de la Concorde in the center of Paris. They were designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff, and completed in 1840 during the reign of King Louis-Philippe. The south fountain commemorates the maritime commerce and industry of France, and the north fountain commemorates navigation and commerce on the rivers of France.

Concorde (French pronunciation: [kɔ̃kɔʁd] (listen)) is a station on Line 1, Line 8 and Line 12 of the Paris Métro. Serving the Place de la Concorde in central Paris, it is located in the 1st arrondissement. The station was opened on 13 August 1900, almost a month after trains began running on the original section of Line 1 between Porte de Vincennes and Porte Maillot on 19 July 1900. The Line 12 platforms were opened on 5 November 1910 as part of the first section of the Nord-Sud Company's line C from Porte de Versailles to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. This line was taken over by the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris and was renamed Line 12 on 27 March 1931. The Line 8 platforms were opened on 12 March 1914 on the first section of the line from Beaugrenelle (now Charles Michels on Line 10) to Opéra; this line had been opened on 13 July 1913, although the platforms at Concorde and Invalides were not yet finished. Concorde is distinctive due to its décor created by artist Françoise Schein: she covered the entire station's Line 12 walls with tiles spelling the Déclaration des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen of 1789. Ezra Pound's famous Imagist poem, "In a Station of the Metro", was inspired by this station.
