National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) (Croatian: Nacionalna i sveučilišna knjižnica u Zagrebu, NSK; formerly Nacionalna i sveučilišna biblioteka u Zagrebu, NSB) is the national library of Croatia and central library of the University of Zagreb. The Library was established in 1607. Its primary mission is the development and preservation of Croatian national written heritage. It holds around 3 million items. Since 1995 the NSK has been located in a purpose-built cubical building in central Zagreb.

Trnje (Croatian pronunciation: [tr̩̂ːɲe]) is a district in the City of Zagreb, Croatia. According to the 2011 census, the district had 42,282 residents. It is located in the central part of the city, south of Donji grad across the railway (Zagreb Main Station), east of Trešnjevka (Savska road), west of Peščenica (Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue and Marin Držić Avenue), and north of the river Sava. The Slavonska Avenue intersects Trnje. Trnje was amalgamated into the city in 1927 by Mayor Vjekoslav Heinzel, along with several other new districts, mainly for the purpose of housing people needed for Zagreb's industrial sector expansion.As a district, Trnje has an elected council.

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is in charge of the development of the economy, and conducting administrative and other tasks related to: industry, except food and tobacco industry, shipbuilding, energy, mining, trade, cooperatives, other than agricultural, small and medium businesses, trade, trade policy, and policy to protect domestic production; economic cooperation with foreign countries, involvement in European economic integration, the harmonization of activities in conjunction with the Croatian membership in the World Trade Organization and participation in multilateral trade negotiations in the framework of this organization, promotion of exports and foreign investment, the establishment and operation of free zones, systematic stimulation of entrepreneurship, state of market, supplies and prices, consumer protection, strategic stockpiles, the privatization of shares and stakes in the state owned companies, restructuring and rehabilitation of legal entities, safety at work.

Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall (Croatian: Koncertna dvorana Vatroslava Lisinskog) is a large concert hall and convention center in Zagreb, Croatia. It is named after Vatroslav Lisinski, a 19th-century Croatian composer. The building has a big hall with 1,841 seats and a small hall with 305 seats. A large lobby doubles as an exhibition area.

Hrvatska radiotelevizija (abbr. HRT), or Croatian Radiotelevision, is Croatia's public broadcasting company. It operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. HRT is divided into three joint companies – Croatian Radio (Hrvatski radio), Croatian Television (Hrvatska televizija) and Music Production (Glazbena proizvodnja), which includes three orchestras (Symphony, Jazz and Tamburitza) and a choir. The founder of HRT is the Republic of Croatia which exercises its founder's rights through the Croatian Government. Croatian Radio (then Radio Zagreb) was founded on 15 May 1926. This date is considered the date on which HRT was founded. Television Zagreb (today Croatian Television) began broadcasting on 7 September 1956. By the law enacted by the Croatian Parliament on 29 June 1990, Radio Television Zagreb was renamed to Croatian Radiotelevision. HRT operates as a provider of public broadcasting services, and Croatia provides independent funding in accordance with the Croatian Broadcasting Company Law and the State Aid Rules for Public Broadcasting Services. In carrying out its activities, HRT is independent of any political influence and commercial interest. On 25 May 2012, HRT's archive of the television and radio program and its collection of musical production were given the status of Croatian cultural heritage.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (Croatian: Fakultet elektrotehnike i računarstva, abbr: FER) is a faculty of the University of Zagreb. It is the largest technical faculty and the leading educational as well as research-and-development institution in the fields of electrical engineering and computing in Croatia. FER owns four buildings situated in the Zagreb neighbourhood of Martinovka, Trnje. The total area of the site is 43,308 m2 (466,160 sq ft). As of 2011, the Faculty employs more than 160 professors and 210 teaching and research assistants. The Esplanade Zagreb Hotel is a historic luxury hotel in Zagreb, Croatia. It was built in 1925 to provide accommodation for passengers of the famous Orient Express train, which traveled between Paris and Istanbul.

Eurotower is a high-rise building in Zagreb, Croatia, located in Trnje at the intersection of the Vukovarska and Lučićeva streets, in the southwest corner. It was built in 2006. This office tower has 26 levels and it is 96 m (315 ft) tall. Eurotower is currently best known as the headquarters of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and KPMG in Croatia. The architect is Marijan Hržić, who is also the designer of the Cibona Tower in Zagreb.

The Art Pavilion in Zagreb (Croatian: Umjetnički paviljon u Zagrebu) is an art gallery in Zagreb, Croatia. The Pavilion is located on the Lenuci Horseshoe, Lower Town area of the city, south of Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square, on the northern side of the King Tomislav Square which flanks the Zagreb Central Station. Established in 1898, it is the oldest gallery in the Southeast Europe and the only purpose-built gallery in Zagreb designed specifically to accommodate large-scale exhibitions.
