Zagreb train disaster

Kulušić was a concert club in Zagreb, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia), which hosted many famous international acts and all the important acts from the region. It is particularly associated with the Yugoslav new wave acts of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Many Live albums which today are part of the ex-Yugoslav music history were recorded in Kulušić. Film, Bijelo dugme and Azra recorded their live albums in Kulušić in 1981, followed by Buldožer, Haustor and Leb i sol in 1982, and Ekatarina Velika and Električni orgazam in 1986. Davor Gobac of Psihomodo Pop introduced his infamous stage undressing act in a 1983 gig in Kulušić. Bajaga i Instruktori, one of the foremost Yugoslav pop-rock bands, held their very first concert in Kulušić, on April 12, 1984.From its inception in 1966, Kulušić was run by the League of Socialist Youth of Yugoslavia's (SSOJ) SR Croatia branch (SSOH), a youth wing of the Croatian Communist League (SKH), itself the SR Croatia branch of the only political party in SFR Yugoslavia — the Yugoslav Communist League (SKJ). In 1987, the day-to-day running of the club was taken over by Tomo in der Muhlen.

The Classical Gymnasium (Croatian: Klasična gimnazija) is a gymnasium high school (similar to a grammar school in England and Wales) situated in Zagreb, Croatia. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1607. In its first year it had 260 students and it operated on the basis of the Jesuit programme "Ratio atque institutio studiorum societatis Jesu".

Second Gymnasium (Croatian: II. gimnazija, Druga gimnazija) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia. It operates in the Križanićeva gymnasium complex in Donji grad. After the school year 2023/24, 146 graduates of this gymnasium enrolled at an institution of higher learning in Croatia, or 94.81% of students who took up the nationwide Matura exams. The most common destinations for these students were the University of Zagreb faculties of law, medicine, economics, electrical engineering and computing, and science.

Seventh Gymnasium (Croatian: VII. gimnazija, Sedma gimnazija) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia. It operates in the Križanićeva gymnasium complex in Donji grad. After the school year 2023/24, 142 graduates of this gymnasium enrolled at an institution of higher learning in Croatia, or 93.42% of students who took up the nationwide Matura exams. The most common destinations for these students were the University of Zagreb faculties of economics, law, mechanical engineering and naval architecture, civil engineering, and science.

Zagreb Bus Station (Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor Zagreb, shorter: AKZ) is the central bus station of Zagreb and the biggest of its kind in Southeastern Europe. Founded in 1961, it was rebuilt for the 1987 Summer Universiade. It is located on Marin Držić Avenue near Ban Jelačić Square. Autobusni kolodvor Zagreb d.o.o. is subsidiary of the Zagreb Holding. The core businesses are passenger transport, reception of buses, luggage and goods, sale of train tickets, information and cloakroom services. As an "A" category station, it is a member of the Pan-European Association of Bus Stations.

Šubićeva Street (Croatian: Ulica Pavla Šubića, Šubićeva ulica) is a street in Zagreb, Croatia. It connects Eugen Kvaternik Square with Petar Krešimir IV Square. It is located in the Zagreb district of Donji grad. Šubićeva Street is four-lane in its entire length with tram tracks between the roadways. Due to the tram tracks left-turns are forbidden at some intersections. The street intersects Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue and Maksimirska Street at the Kvaternik Square, Zvonimirova Street, and Branimirova Avenue at the Petar Krešimir IV Square. As it passes the square, it changes its name to Marin Držić Avenue.

The Meštrović Pavilion (Croatian: Meštrovićev paviljon), also known as the Home of Croatian Artists (Croatian: Dom hrvatskih likovnih umjetnika) and colloquially as the Mosque (Croatian: Džamija), is a cultural venue and the official seat of the Croatian Society of Fine Artists (HDLU) located on the Square of the Victims of Fascism in central Zagreb, Croatia. Designed by Ivan Meštrović and built in 1938, it has served several functions in its lifetime. An art gallery before World War II, it was converted into a mosque under the Independent State of Croatia and was subsequently transformed into the Museum of the Revolution in post-war Yugoslavia. In 1990, it was given back to the Croatian Association of Artists. After extensive renovation, it has served as a space for exhibitions and events since 2006.

Square of the Victims of Fascism (Croatian: Trg žrtava fašizma) is one of the central squares in Zagreb. It was designed in 1923 urban plan on the site of the former fairground that was east of Draškovića street as the new center of then new eastern part of the town that was deliberately and systematically built in the 1920s and 1930s. Four streets lead directly to the center of the square; Rački street from the northwest, Višeslavova street from the southeast, Zvonimirova street from the east, and Dukljaninova street from the northeast.

Croatian Railway Museum (Croatian: Hrvatski željeznički muzej) is a specialized technical museum in Croatian capital Zagreb, located on the premises of Zagreb Glavni kolodvor, the main railway station of Zagreb.

Marin Držić Avenue (Croatian: Avenija Marina Držića) is an important north–south avenue in the central-eastern part of Zagreb, Croatia. It is named after Marin Držić, a famous Croatian poet from the 16th century. It starts at the Petar Krešimir IV Square where it continues south from Šubićeva Street. It intersects with the Branimir Avenue, Vukovar Avenue, Slavonska Avenue (combination interchange), Milka Trnina Street, Sajmišna Road (parclo interchange) and ends at Dubrovnik Avenue (roundabout interchange), continuing south as Sarajevska Road. The avenue carries ZET tram tracks in the median through the entire route. Zagreb's main bus station (Autobusni kolodvor Zagreb) is also located on the avenue. It passes through city districts Trnje and Novi Zagreb - istok, at parts serving as a border between Trnje and Peščenica - Žitnjak.

The Basilica of the Heart of Jesus (Croatian: Bazilika Srca Isusova) is a Roman Catholic basilica located in Palmotićeva street of Zagreb, Croatia. It is dedicated to the Sacred Heart, and was designed by the Croatian architect Janko Holjac in the neo-Baroque style. The Basilica of the Heart of Jesus is the second largest church in Zagreb, after the Zagreb Cathedral. It is used by the Jesuits.

Croatian Nobles Square (Croatian: Trg hrvatskih velikana) is one of the central squares in Zagreb. It was designed in 1923 urban plan as entry to the then new eastern part of the town. Draškovićeva street is on the western side of the square, Martićeva street begins on the north side, while a road and tram line go through the middle of the square to the Rački street and Square of the Victims of Fascism.
