Lubień, Lesser Poland Voivodeship

Gmina Lubień is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Myślenice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Lubień, which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of Myślenice and 37 km (23 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. The gmina covers an area of 75.01 square kilometres (29.0 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 9,294.

Pcim [pt͡ɕim] is a village in Myślenice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is located in the gmina (administrative district) of Gmina Pcim, of which it is the seat. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Myślenice and 35 km (22 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. The village, which is located along the European route E77, is divided into three districts: Pcim Centrum, Pcim Krzywica, and Pcim Sucha. The name Pcim is sometimes used in Polish in fictional contexts as a slightly comic-sounding town or village name. First settlers came here in the early 13th century, invited by Prince of Kraków Leszek Biały. In 1338, King Kazimierz Wielki founded here parish church of St. Nicholas. At that time, the village belonged to a Czech knight named Nedan, hence its name Nedanowa Wola. According to a 1629 document, Pcim had two mills. In the Polish September Campaign, soldiers of the 10th Motorized Cavalry Brigade fought here defensive battles with the advancing Wehrmacht. During the war, Pcim was an important center of the Home Army. The village was flooded in the 2010 Central European floods.

Gmina Mszana Dolna is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Limanowa County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the town of Mszana Dolna, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 169.83 square kilometres (65.6 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 16,451.

Mszana Dolna [ˈmʂana ˈdɔlna] is a town in Limanowa County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland, with 7,431 inhabitants (2004). Mszana Dolna lies among the hills of western Beskids, 50 kilometres (31 miles) south of Kraków. The town is located in a deep valley, surrounded by several ranges, including the Gorce Mountains featuring Gorce National Park. Mszana is located along National Road Nr. 28, which goes west–east, from Zator to Przemyśl. In 2002, the area of Mszana Dolna was 27.1 square kilometres (10.5 sq mi), out of which forests covered 50%, and arable land 36%.
