Gmina Pcim

Pcim [pt͡ɕim] is a village in Myślenice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is located in the gmina (administrative district) of Gmina Pcim, of which it is the seat. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Myślenice and 35 km (22 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. The village, which is located along the European route E77, is divided into three districts: Pcim Centrum, Pcim Krzywica, and Pcim Sucha. The name Pcim is sometimes used in Polish in fictional contexts as a slightly comic-sounding town or village name. First settlers came here in the early 13th century, invited by Prince of Kraków Leszek Biały. In 1338, King Kazimierz Wielki founded here parish church of St. Nicholas. At that time, the village belonged to a Czech knight named Nedan, hence its name Nedanowa Wola. According to a 1629 document, Pcim had two mills. In the Polish September Campaign, soldiers of the 10th Motorized Cavalry Brigade fought here defensive battles with the advancing Wehrmacht. During the war, Pcim was an important center of the Home Army. The village was flooded in the 2010 Central European floods.

Myślenice [mɨɕlɛˈɲit͡sɛ] is a town in southern Poland, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The town is divided into six districts. One of them, Zarabie, is a popular local tourist destination. It is located behind the Raba river (Zarabie meaning "Beyond the (River) Raba"), and it has Chełm mountain, with a view tower, a landscape park and ski lifts. Myślenice is located on the so-called Zakopianka Road, which is a popular name of the European route E77 road, connecting Kraków with Zakopane (the E77 itself separates itself from the Zakopianka at Rabka). Myślenice does not have a train station.

It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Myślenice, which lies 26 kilometres (16 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. The county also contains the towns of Sułkowice, lying 10 km (6 mi) west of Myślenice, and Dobczyce, 15 km (9 mi) north-east of Myślenice. The county covers an area of 673.3 square kilometres (260.0 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 116,793, out of which the population of Myślenice is 18,070, that of Sułkowice is 6,305, that of Dobczyce is 6,028, and the rural population is 86,390.

Łęki [ˈwɛŋkʲi] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Myślenice, within Myślenice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Myślenice and 27 km (17 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.
