Balin [ˈbalin] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chrzanów, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Chrzanów and 41 km (25 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.The village has a population of 3,400.

The Irena and Mieczysław Mazaraki Museum (Polish: Muzeum w Chrzanowie im. Ireny i Mieczysława Mazarakich) is a regional museum in Chrzanów in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It was once the home of Henry Lowenfeld, a 19th-century entrepreneur and migrant into Great Britain.

The Jewish cemetery of Chrzanów in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship is located outside the centre.

Chrzanów County (Polish: powiat chrzanowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, southern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Chrzanów, which lies 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków. The county contains three other towns: Trzebinia, 8 km (5 mi) north-east of Chrzanów, Libiąż, 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Chrzanów, and Alwernia, 12 km (7 mi) south-east of Chrzanów. The county covers an area of 371.49 square kilometres (143.4 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 124,937, out of which the population of Chrzanów is 36,717, that of Trzebinia is 19,778, that of Libiąż is 17,017, that of Alwernia is 3,368, and the rural population is 40,778.

The Siersza Power Station (Polish: Elektrownia Siersza) is a coal-fired thermal power station in Trzebinia, Poland. It is operated by TAURON Wytwarzanie. There are 6 turbo generators (two are no longer used) and 3 chimneys. The installed capacity is 546 MWe and the thermal capacity is 61 MWt. The remaining thermal energy is used locally.

Trzebinia ([tʂɛˈbʲiɲa]; Yiddish: טשעבין Tchebin) is a town in Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland, Poland with an Orlen oil refinery and a major rail junction of the Kraków - Katowice line, with connections to Oświęcim and Spytkowice. The town became part of Lesser Poland Voivodeship after being part of Katowice Voivodeship (1975–1998). With population of 20,175 (Dec. 31, 2010), Trzebinia is an important industrial center. The town lies in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, 269 to 407 m (883 to 1,335 ft) above sea level. Trzebinia is a rail and road hub, and lies at a junction of the A4 Motorway and National Road Nr. 79. The distance to John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice is 30 kilometres (19 miles).
