Hungarton (or Hungerton) is a small village and civil parish in the Harborough district, in the county of Leicestershire, England, about 10 miles (16 km) north-east of Leicester and 13 miles (21 km) south-west of Melton Mowbray. The population of the civil parish was 269 at the 2001 census, including Ingarsby, and increased to 289 at the 2011 census.

Quenby Hall is a Jacobean house in parkland near the villages of Cold Newton and Hungarton, Leicestershire, England. It is described by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as "the most important early-seventeenth century house in the county [of Leicestershire]". The Hall is Grade I listed, and the park and gardens Grade II, by English Heritage.

Keyham is an English village in Leicestershire. It lies about 7 miles (11 km) east of Leicester, in the district of Harborough. The population at the 2001 census was 118, which rose to 124 at the 2011 census.

Baggrave Hall is an 18th-century Grade II* listed country house in the parish of Hungarton, Leicestershire, England. It is a two and three-storey building in Palladian style, constructed in ashlar in the 1750s, with a Swithland slate hipped roof and brick-ridge chimney stacks. An extra wing in red brick can be dated to 1776. The current grounds cover 220 acres (89 ha). The hall was listed in 1951, but suffered serious damage from an owner in 1988–1990.

Houghton on the Hill is a village and civil parish lying six miles (10 km) to the east of Leicester in the Harborough district, in Leicestershire, East Midlands in England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 1,524.An entry for Houghton on the Hill is recorded in the Domesday Book. In Dec 2007, the village made national news headlines, and was dubbed "the village of the scammed" when a large number of fraudulent credit card charges in the Far East were linked to the JET filling station. In Aug 2008, Sri-Lankan born cashier, Nyal Rajput, was jailed for two years and nine months after admitting to the charge of obtaining property by deception. A total of £175,000 was stolen in the scam, which affected almost every house in the village.

Gaulby (or Galby) is a village in Leicestershire, England, 7 miles east of the city of Leicester. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 131, (including Frisby). The 2011 census for Gaulby returned 52 houses and 141 residents.

Billesdon was a rural district of Leicestershire, England. It originated with the Billesdon Poor Law Union, formed in 1835. In 1894 the area became a rural district. It was named for the village of Billesdon. In 1935 the rural district was decreased by the annexing of Humberstone, most of Evington, and some of Thurnby civil parishes to Leicester (with some small parts going to Oadby in 1936). It was further reduced in 1966 by the annexation of part of Scraptoft, Stoughton and Thurnby parishes. In 1974 it became part of the Harborough non-metropolitan district, along with the Lutterworth Rural District, Market Harborough Rural District, and Market Harborough urban districts.

Frisby is a hamlet and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire that lies approximately 7.3 miles (11.7 km) southeast of the city of Leicester, that is now largely a deserted medieval village. According to the University of Nottingham English Place-names project, the settlement name Frisby could mean 'farm/settlement of the Frisians'. The 2011 census for Frisby returned 5 houses and 16 residents. Often termed as Frisby by Gaulby (so as not to be confused with the nearby village of Frisby on the Wreake), the modern hamlet is situated between the village of Gaulby 1 mile (1.6 km) to the southwest and Billesdon 1.94 miles (3.12 km) to the northeast. The deserted part of the ancient hamlet is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and can be located on the eastern side of the lane that leads down the hill from Gaulby Road, via Frisby House on a south-eastwards direction. The earthwork "tofts & crofts" are still visible today, with foundations for two stone built buildings noted towards the center of the site (grid reference SK 70547 01602).

All Saints Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Beeby, Leicestershire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

Beeby is a village and civil parish in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire, England, with a population of 115 according to the 2011 census. It is situated north-east of Leicester, nearer to the villages of Keyham and Hungarton in the neighbouring district of Harborough and lies along the Barkby Brook. This small rural hamlet can be succinctly described as "a series of scattered houses that remain of the shrunken medieval village". The parish also includes the hamlet of Little Beeby, which consists of several houses within the settlement and is located 200m south east of the All Saints Church.

South Croxton (traditionally pronounced "crow-sun" [ˈkroʊsən]) is a village and civil parish in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire, England. It had a population of 261 in the 2011 census. Nearby villages include Beeby, Barsby and Twyford.

King's Norton is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. It is situated to the east of Leicester, and about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) south-west from Billesdon. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 69. At the 2011 census the population remained less than 100 and is included in the civil parish of Gaulby. There is a small cluster of houses around the junction of three roads which lead to Gaulby, Little Stretton, and Illston on the Hill; this includes the manor-house, Vicarage, and church. In 1563 there were 12 households, in 1670 there were 17 households. The maximum known population was just over 60 in the 19th century.
