Pepperell is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,604 at the 2020 census. It includes the village of East Pepperell.

The Nashua River Rail Trail is a 12.5-mile (20.1 km) paved mixed-use rail trail in northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire under control of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). It roughly follows the course of the Nashua River, passing through the towns of Ayer, Groton, Pepperell, and Dunstable, Massachusetts and ends about a mile across the New Hampshire state border in Nashua, New Hampshire. The trail is used by walkers, cyclists, inline skaters, equestrians, and cross-country skiers.

The Nissitissit River is a 10.5-mile-long (16.9 km) river in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts in the United States. It is a tributary of the Nashua River, itself a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine. This river is part of the Nashua River Watershed. The Nissitissit River begins at the outlet of Potanipo Pond in the town of Brookline, New Hampshire. It flows southeast at a very mild gradient, crossing the southwest corner of Hollis, New Hampshire, before entering Massachusetts, where it joins the Nashua River in the town of Pepperell.

East Pepperell is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Pepperell in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 2,059 at the 2010 census.

The Beaver Brook Association is a non-profit nature center a 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) conservation area in Hollis, Brookline, and Milford, New Hampshire, United States. It takes its name from Beaver Brook, a tributary of the Nissitissit River and Nashua River.

Groton is a town in northwestern Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, within the Greater Boston metropolitan area. The population was 11,315 at the 2020 census. It is home to two prep schools: Lawrence Academy at Groton, founded in 1792 and the third-oldest private school in Massachusetts; and Groton School, founded in 1884.The town was a battlefield in King Philip's War and Queen Anne's War, as England and France competed through their North American colonies from the 17th century well into the 18th century. It was the birthplace of William Prescott, who commanded the colonial forces at the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolution. In postwar years, it had incidents of insurrection during Shays' Rebellion (1786–1787).

Groton-Dunstable Regional High School (GDRHS) is a high school located in Groton, Massachusetts, United States, and serves the communities of Groton and Dunstable in the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. While GDRHS is the only public high school located within those communities students from Groton may also attend the public Nashoba Valley Technical High School and students from Dunstable may attend the public Greater Lowell Technical High School. Approximately 810 students attend GDRHS and they are primarily graduates of Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School. GDRHS has a primarily college preparatory curriculum, with approximately 87% of its students attending four-year colleges and over 90% attending two- or four-year colleges upon graduation in 2010.

The District 7 School is a historic school building at 366 Chicopee Row in Groton, Massachusetts. The one-room single story brick building was built c. 1833, and is one of four surviving district schools (of which it is the best-preserved) in the town. The building has only very limited vernacular Federal styling, but has retained interior finish work from both the early and late 19th century. The property includes a 19th-century outhouse. The building served as a school until 1916, after which time it was taken over by a community non-profit for use as a community center.The schoolhouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

North Middlesex Regional High School is a public high school located in Townsend, Massachusetts, United States, in Middlesex County. It serves grades 9–12 primarily from Townsend, Pepperell, and Ashby. North Middlesex Regional High School has approximately 800 students. According to the official North Middlesex Regional School District website, North Middlesex is a comprehensive school accredited by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. The professional staff includes approximately seventy-five full-time teachers, a library/media coordinator, an academic support center coordinator, four guidance counselors, three school nurses, a school psychologist, approximately fifteen teaching assistants, two assistant principals, one principal, and a resource officer.
