Jadranska Avenue

Blato is a neighborhood located in the Novi Zagreb - zapad city district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is spread along the Karlovačka Road, south of Jadranska Avenue. The population is 2,553 (2011).Formerly a village on its own, it has been assimilated into the Zagreb agglomeration during the 20th century. It consists of single family homes and occasional duplex houses.

Jarun (local pronunciation: [jaˈruːn]) is a neighborhood in the southwestern part of Zagreb, Croatia. It was named after Lake Jarun, formed by the Sava River, now located on the southern edge of the neighborhood.

Botinec is a neighborhood located in Novi Zagreb - zapad city district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is famous for having its streets named after famous character from Croatian theater plays and novels. It was founded in 1965 as a refugee camp after the 1964 flood, owing its rectangular street grid to the era of building Novi Zagreb (called Južni Zagreb – Southern Zagreb at the time). It was away from the city and away from Sava River, with barracks meant to serve as a camp only for up to six years, but the houses were eventually bought by the tenants and upgraded. Nonetheless, Botinec remains a neighborhood bearing the scar of the flood. Botinec is divided in two parts: Old Botinec and New Botinec. According to the 2001 census, Botinec had 4,906 inhabitants.

The Lučko interchange (Croatian: Čvor Lučko) is a hybrid (Full Y/Half-clover) interchange in Zagreb, Croatia. It is named after the nearby Zagreb neighborhood of Lučko. The interchange represents the northern terminus of the A1 motorway and it connects the A1 route to the A3 motorway between Jankomir interchange and Buzin exit, also representing a part of Zagreb bypass. The interchange is a part of Pan-European corridors Vb and X. It also represents a junction of European routes E65, E70 and E71.The interchange was originally executed as Zagreb–Karlovac motorway terminus exit, connecting the motorway to the city of Zagreb itself directly. Following construction of Zagreb bypass towards Jankomir (westward), the interchange was expanded, but it was still used as a motorway exit connecting to the city of Zagreb via Jadranska Avenue and to Lučko via the D1 and D3 state road. Once the bypass, i.e. A3 motorway, was extended eastward to Ivanja Reka interchange, the Lučko interchange gained its present form.

Jarun Bridge (Croatian: Jarunski most) is a planned bridge that will cross the Sava River in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The bridge will be located in the western part of the city, Trešnjevka near Lake Jarun. The city of Zagreb organized a tender for the design of the Jarun Bridge in 2006, and accepted the project in 2007. Building permits were issued in 2011, but the construction, originally estimated to cost around €40 million, did not start due to a lack of funds. As of 2013, the city was considering a pedestrian-and-cycle design as a cheaper alternative. In early 2020, the process of acquiring the building permits was reinitiated.

The Arena Zagreb is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Zagreb, Croatia. The site also includes a building complex, the Arena Complex (Arena Center), making it one of the largest shopping-entertainment centers in the city. The arena is used for hockey, futsal, handball, athletics, basketball, volleyball, numerous other sporting competitions, and various concerts, exhibitions, fairs, conventions, and congresses. Lanište is a neighborhood in the Novi Zagreb - zapad city district in Zagreb, Croatia. It is located along the Jadranska Avenue, south of the Sava River, across from the neighbourhood of Jarun. It has a population of 3,468.Its main thoroughfares are Jadranska Avenue, Lanište Road and Remetinečka Road. It is the site of the Arena Zagreb, and Arena shopping center. The area was neglected for a long time, but in the last few years many new apartment buildings were built, and real estate prices have risen considerably. The neighborhood is badly connected to the Zagreb tram system, with residents having to walk to Western Rotary to board the trams. A tram line extension together with a new rail yard located near Blato, southwest of Lanište, is planned.

Vrbani is a neighborhood in Trešnjevka - jug city district in the southwestern part of Zagreb, Croatia. The area covered by the local city council Vrbani has around 10,093 inhabitants.The borders of Vrbani are Horvaćanska Street on the south with Jarun, Hrvatski Sokol Street with Staglišće on the east, Zagrebačka Avenue with Rudeš on the north and Petrovaradinska Street on the west with Prečko. Vrbani, in the wider sense, also includes the newly built buildings between lake Jarun and Horvaćanska Street.

Trešnjevka – jug (Croatian pronunciation: [trêʃɲeːʋka jûg], "Trešnjevka – south") is a district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is in the western part of the city and has 66,674 inhabitants (2011 census).The district encompasses the southern (Croatian: jug) part of the traditional Trešnjevka neighbourhood, separated from the northern part (Croatian: sjever) by the Zagrebačka Avenue.
