Quebec County (electoral district)

Gare du Palais ("Palace Station") is a train and bus station in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Its name comes from its proximity to the Palace of the Intendant of New France. It is served by Via Rail, Canada's national passenger railway, and by the private coach company Orléans Express. Built in 1915 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the two-storey châteauesque station is similar in design to the Château Frontenac hotel. The station had no passenger rail service from 1976 to 1985. It reopened in 1985, and is the eastern terminus of Via Rail's Corridor services in Ontario and Quebec, serving regular daily services west to Montreal's Central Station and Ottawa via Drummondville, for at most 10 trains per day. It was designated a Heritage Railway Station in 1992.

The Hotel-Dieu de Québec is a teaching hospital located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, and affiliated with Université Laval's medical school. It is part of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ), a network of five teaching hospitals and several specialized institutions. Its areas of expertise include cancer treatment, kidney disease and cochlear implants. It has an affiliated research centre, the Centre de recherche de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. This hospital was the first such facility in Canada, and the first in North America, north of Mexico.

The Joseph Samson Bridge–Tunnel (French: Pont-Tunnel Joseph-Samson) is a vehicular bridge–tunnel in the Quebec City borough of La Cité-Limoilou.. It connects Capucin Boulevard in Old Limoilou with the old Port of Quebec. The bridge-tunnel first crosses over the Saint-Charles River at the north and then runs southeast, passing under the Gare du Palais train station and SAAQ headquarters (Jean Lesage Building). The bridge carries six lanes of traffic (two reversible), a bike lane on the west side, and sidewalks on both sides, while the tunnel is limited to three lanes of vehicular traffic (including one reversible lane). The tunnel was constructed in the 1980s by Ministry of Transportation of Quebec and named after former Quebec City mayor Joseph-Octave Samson

The Port of Quebec (French: Port de Québec) is an inland port located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It is the oldest port in Canada, and the second largest in Quebec after the Port of Montreal.

Quebec City ( (listen) or ; French: Ville de Québec), officially Québec ([kebɛk] (listen)), is the capital city of the Canadian province of Quebec. As of July 2021, the city had a population of 549,459, and the metropolitan area had a population of 839,311. It is the eleventh-largest city and the seventh-largest metropolitan area in Canada. It is also the second-largest city in the province after Montreal. It has a humid continental climate with warm summers coupled with cold and snowy winters. The Algonquian people had originally named the area Kébec, an Algonquin word meaning "where the river narrows", because the Saint Lawrence River narrows proximate to the promontory of Quebec and its Cape Diamant. Explorer Samuel de Champlain founded a French settlement here in 1608, and adopted the Algonquin name. Quebec City is one of the oldest European cities in North America. The ramparts surrounding Old Quebec (Vieux-Québec) are the only fortified city walls remaining in the Americas north of Mexico. This area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 as the "Historic District of Old Québec".The city's landmarks include the Château Frontenac hotel that dominates the skyline and the Citadelle of Quebec, an intact fortress that forms the centrepiece of the ramparts surrounding the old city and includes a secondary royal residence. The National Assembly of Quebec (provincial legislature), the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec), and the Musée de la civilisation (Museum of Civilization) are found within or near Vieux-Québec.

The City Hall of Quebec City (French: Hôtel de ville de Québec) is the seat of local government in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It was inaugurated on September 15, 1896 in the Old Quebec neighbourhood. The building slopes downward as it was built on a hill and was once home to the Jesuit College (Jesuit Barracks) from the 1730s to 1878.The city hall was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984. The building is also located within the "Arrondissement historique du Vieux-Québec" (Historic District of Old Quebec), a district that was designated under provincial heritage legislation in 1963 and listed as a World Heritage Site in 1985.Located on rue des Jardins and designed by architect Georges-Émile Tanguay (1858-1923), it is the second permanent city hall for the old city. From 1842 to 1896 City Hall sat at home of British Army Major General William Dunn (British officer), son of former administrator Thomas Dunn (lieutenant-governor) (at rue Saint-Louis and rue Sainte-Ursule). Prior to 1842 the city government sat a various sites. The formal Quebec City Council was established in 1833. The building used a mixture of Classical, Medieval and Châteauesque elements.

The Musée de l'Amérique francophone (Museum of French-Speaking America), formerly the Musée de l'Amérique française, is situated in the Old Quebec neighbourhood of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It is Canada's oldest museum. Its collection contains books from Séminaire de Québec's library, some of which were published in the 16th century and others which were placed in a restricted section called Enfer ('Hell' in French). It also contains artifacts from Cyprus, paintings, first-edition publications of The Birds of America and Encyclopédie, and a recreation of the organ from Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame de Québec. The museum's collection has been managed by the Musée de la civilisation since 1995.

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church congregation located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It belongs to the Presbyterian Church in Canada denomination.

The Seminary of Quebec (French: Séminaire de Québec) is a Catholic community of diocesan priests in Quebec City founded by Bishop François de Laval, the first bishop of New France in 1663.

The Morrin Centre is a cultural centre in the Old Quebec neighbourhood of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It is designed to educate the public about the historic contribution and present-day culture of local English-speakers. The centre contains the private English-language library of the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec, heritage spaces for events, and interpretation services. The English-language library has been located in the Morrin Centre since 1868. The Library is the repository of the LHSQ's collection of historical documents, including copies of the society's journal, Transactions. These documents include original, scientific, historical, and literary articles from the nineteenth century, as well as reprints of older historical primary sources found in archives around the world. In order to access these materials, one must be a member of the library.

The Édifice Price (English: Price Building) is an 18-floor (originally 16) skyscraper in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Built in 1928–1931 amid controversy for Price Brothers Limited, it is the tallest building in the Old Quebec historical district, as well as one of the oldest skyscrapers in Canada. The building is the property of Ivanhoé Cambridge, a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. A memorial is attached to the building. In 2001, it became the location of an official residence for the Premier of Quebec, which occupies two of the upper floors.
