The Parish Church of Saint Giles, Standlake is the Church of England parish church of Standlake, a village about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Witney in Oxfordshire. Since 1976 St Giles' parish has been a member of the Lower Windrush Benefice along with the parishes of Northmoor, Stanton Harcourt and Yelford.

Standlake is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Witney and 7 miles (11 km) west of Oxford, England. The parish includes the hamlet of Brighthampton. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,497. The River Windrush flows past the village and with its tributary Medley Brook it forms much of the eastern boundary of the parish. The western boundary has been subject to changes and disputes in past centuries. It now follows Brighthampton Cut, an artificial land drain dug in the 19th century. The Windrush joins the River Thames at Newbridge just over 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south.

Brighthampton is a hamlet about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Witney in West Oxfordshire and contiguous with the village of Standlake.

The River Windrush is a tributary of the River Thames in central England. It rises near Winchcombe in Gloucestershire and flows south east for 65 km (40 mi) via Burford and Witney to meet the Thames at Newbridge in Oxfordshire. The river gives its name to the village of Windrush in Gloucestershire.

Newbridge is a 13th-century bridge carrying the Abingdon–Witney road (now the A415) over the River Thames in Oxfordshire, England, close to the Thames' confluence with the River Windrush. It is one of the two oldest surviving bridges on the Thames, part Grade I and part Grade II*-listed. The bridge is in a rural setting, with a public house at either end: the Maybush Inn on the south bank and the Rose Revived on the other. The bridge consists of two spans. The northern span crosses the river and the southern span, south of the Maybush, is dry underneath except when the river floods.

Longworth is a village and civil parish in the Vale of White Horse, England. The 1974 boundary changes transferred it from Berkshire to Oxfordshire. The village lies between Faringdon, 7 miles (11 km) to its west, and Oxford, 9 miles (14 km) to the north-east. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 566, which was estimated at 570 in 2019. The parish is bounded by the River Thames to the north, the A420 road to the south, and field boundaries to the east and west. The land slopes from the A420 to the river, except at Harrowdown Hill near the north-east corner of the parish, which has a summit of 325 feet (99 m).

Longworth House is an historic country house at Longworth in the English county of Oxfordshire (formerly in Berkshire). It is a Grade II listed building.It was owned by the Marten family during the 16th and 17th centuries. Former residents include Sir Henry Marten, Judge of the Admiralty Court.

The Devil's Quoits (grid reference SP411048) is a henge and stone circle to the south of the village of Stanton Harcourt in Oxfordshire, England. The site is believed to be from the Neolithic Period, between 4000 and 5000 years old, and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The Quoits were restored between 2002 and 2008, with stones which had been knocked over or had fallen over being re-erected, and the surrounding earthworks rebuilt.

Shifford Lock is a lock on the River Thames in England. It is in the centre of a triangle formed by the small villages of Shifford, Duxford and Chimney in Oxfordshire. It is at the start of a navigation cut built with the lock by the Thames Conservancy in 1898. This was the only new lock built on the non-tidal Thames in the era of falling revenue after the Thames Conservancy took over responsibilities of the Thames Navigation Commission. It replaced a flash lock in a weir about 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) downstream. There is a small weir beside the lock and a larger weir on the old course of the river upstream at the top of the lock cut.
