River Windrush

Newbridge is a 13th-century bridge carrying the Abingdon–Witney road (now the A415) over the River Thames in Oxfordshire, England, close to the Thames' confluence with the River Windrush. It is one of the two oldest surviving bridges on the Thames, part Grade I and part Grade II*-listed. The bridge is in a rural setting, with a public house at either end: the Maybush Inn on the south bank and the Rose Revived on the other. The bridge consists of two spans. The northern span crosses the river and the southern span, south of the Maybush, is dry underneath except when the river floods.

The Mulberry Bush School is an independent residential special school in the village of Standlake in Oxfordshire, for children aged 5 to 12 years. The school was founded in 1948 by self-taught psychologist Barbara Dockar Drysdale with the backing of the Ministry of Education and the Home Office. She and her husband were co-principals until 1962.The school is a registered charity.The Mulberry Bush School is the subject of a BBC documentary film, Hold Me Tight, Let Me Go, directed by Kim Longinotto.

The Parish Church of Saint Giles, Standlake is the Church of England parish church of Standlake, a village about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Witney in Oxfordshire. Since 1976 St Giles' parish has been a member of the Lower Windrush Benefice along with the parishes of Northmoor, Stanton Harcourt and Yelford.

Standlake is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Witney and 7 miles (11 km) west of Oxford, England. The parish includes the hamlet of Brighthampton. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,497. The River Windrush flows past the village and with its tributary Medley Brook it forms much of the eastern boundary of the parish. The western boundary has been subject to changes and disputes in past centuries. It now follows Brighthampton Cut, an artificial land drain dug in the 19th century. The Windrush joins the River Thames at Newbridge just over 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south.

Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor is a civil parish in the English county of Oxfordshire, England. The two principal settlements in the parish are the adjacent villages of Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor. The parish extends north of the villages to the River Thames and south to the River Ock. The parish was formed on 1 April 1971 by merging the two parishes of Kingston Bagpuize and Draycot Moor. From 1971 to 1974 the parish was in Berkshire, but in 1974 it was transferred to Oxfordshire. Within Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor there are many amenities such as Aquarius (hairdressers), the Log Cabin (newsagents and sandwich shop), the Crossroads garage (car dealership and MOT/service station),a One Stop and a Co-op.

Longworth is a village and civil parish in the Vale of White Horse, England. The 1974 boundary changes transferred it from Berkshire to Oxfordshire. The village lies between Faringdon, 7 miles (11 km) to its west, and Oxford, 9 miles (14 km) to the north-east. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 566, which was estimated at 570 in 2019. The parish is bounded by the River Thames to the north, the A420 road to the south, and field boundaries to the east and west. The land slopes from the A420 to the river, except at Harrowdown Hill near the north-east corner of the parish, which has a summit of 325 feet (99 m).

Netherton is a hamlet in Fyfield and Tubney civil parish about 5.5 miles (9 km) west of Abingdon. Formerly in the parish of Fyfield before it merged with Tubney in 1952, it was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred it to Oxfordshire. The toponym is derived from the Old English neotherra meaning "lower, nether" and dun meaning "hill". It was recorded as Netendon in 1193. Netherton is primarily residential. Netherton is linked with Oxford by Pulhams Coaches route 63 bus that runs on Mondays to Fridays.

Hart's Weir Footbridge is a single-span concrete footbridge across the River Thames in Oxfordshire, England. Locally, it is also known as Rainbow Bridge, due to its rainbow-arc appearance as seen from the horizon. It is situated on the reach above Northmoor Lock, the nearest village being Appleton, Oxfordshire to the east. The bridge was built in 1879 on the site of a weir that was removed a year later. Then known as Hart's Weir, it had previously been Ridge's, Langley's, Cock's, Rudge's, and Butler's Weir. Sixteen years later Northmoor Lock was built downstream.

Kingston Bagpuize () is a village in the civil parish of Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor, about 6 miles (10 km) west of Abingdon. It was part of Berkshire, England, until the 1974 boundary changes transferred it to Oxfordshire. The 2011 Census recorded the population of Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor as 2,349.

Northmoor is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire, about 6 miles (10 km) west of Oxford and almost the same distance southeast of Witney. Northmoor is in the valley of the River Thames, which bounds the parish to the east and south, and is close to the River Windrush which forms part of the parish's western boundary. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 377.

Southmoor is a village in the civil parish of Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor, about 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Historically part of Berkshire, the 1974 boundary changes transferred local government to Oxfordshire. Southmoor village is just south of the A420 between Oxford and Swindon.

St Mary's Church is a Church of England parish church in Longworth, Oxfordshire (formerly Berkshire). The church is a Grade I listed building.
