Lower Agryle, or Agryle Hypenerthen (Ancient Greek: Ἀγρυλὴ ὑπένερθεν), was a deme of ancient Attica, one of two demoi of Agryle. The site of Lower Agryle is located southwest of modern Ardettos.

Agios Ioannis (Greek: Άγιος Ιωάννης, lit. 'St. John's'), also known as Aghios Ioannis on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 2. The station opened on 15 November 2000, as part of the extension from Syntagma to Dafni.

The First Cemetery of Athens (Greek: Πρώτο Νεκροταφείο Αθηνών, Próto Nekrotafeío Athinón) is the official cemetery of the City of Athens and the first to be built. It opened in 1837 and soon became a prestigious cemetery for Greeks and foreigners. The cemetery is located behind the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathinaiko Stadium in central Athens. It can be found at the top end of Anapafseos Street (Eternal Rest Street). It is a large green space with pines and cypresses. In the cemetery there are three churches. The main one is the Church of Saint Theodores and there is also a smaller one dedicated to Saint Lazarus. The third church of Saint Charles is a Catholic church. The cemetery includes several impressive tombs such as those of Heinrich Schliemann, designed by Ernst Ziller; Ioannis Pesmazoglou; Georgios Averoff; and one tomb with a famous sculpture of a dead young girl called I Koimomeni ("The Sleeping Girl") and sculpted by Yannoulis Chalepas from the island of Tinos. There are also burial areas for Protestants and Jews, however, this segregation is not compulsory. The cemetery is under the Municipality of Athens and is declared an historical monument.

Neos Kosmos (Greek: Νέος Κόσμος [ˈneos ˈkosmos] ; meaning "New World") is a neighborhood in Athens, Greece.

Mets (Greek: Μετς) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece. It is located between Ardettos Hill, First Cemetery of Athens and Temple of Olympian Zeus.Mets owes its name to a beer brewery, opened by Bavarian brewer Karl Fuchs (the same man who founded Greek beer company Fix). Beer was, at the time, an unheard of beverage in Greece and was brought over due to the influence of Bavarian Greek king Otto of Greece.

Kynosargous (Greek: Κυνοσάργους [ci.noˈsaɾ.ɣus]), up until 1908 known as Dourgouti (Greek: Δουργούτι [ðuɾˈɣuti]), is a small neighborhood of Athens, Greece. It is named after the Cynosarges which is thought to have been in the area in antiquity. It is served by Syngrou Fix station on Line 2 of the Athens Metro.

Dafni (Greek: Δάφνη) is a metro station on Athens Metro Line 2, which opened on 15 November 2000, and was the line's terminus until 5 June 2004, when Agios Dimitrios station opened.

Diomea or Diomeia (Ancient Greek: Διόμεια) was a deme of ancient Attica, located in the city of Athens, both within and outside the walls of Themistocles, in interior portion included the eastern sector of the city, and the external portion contained the Cynosarges. It was located south of the Ilisus, between Alopece to the south and Ancyle to the east. A gate of Athens was called the Diomean Gate. Originally in the phyle Aigeis, it was later in the phyle Demetrias.

Ymittos (Greek: Υμηττός), is a town and a suburb in the Athens urban area, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dafni-Ymittos, of which it is a municipal unit. With a land area of 0.975 km², it was the second-smallest municipality in Greece (after Nea Chalkidona) before 2011. It is situated 2.5 km southeast of the Acropolis of Athens. Ymittos has two lyceums.

Neos Kosmos (Greek: Νέος Κόσμος) is an interchange station between Athens Metro Line 2 and the Athens Tram. The metro station opened on 15 November 2000, as part of the extension from Syntagma to Dafni, and the tram stop opened on 19 July 2004 as part of the initial scheme.

The Panathenaic Stadium (Greek: Παναθηναϊκό Στάδιο, romanized: Panathinaïkó Stádio, [panaθinaiˈko sˈtaðio]) or Kallimarmaro (Καλλιμάρμαρο, [kaliˈmarmaro], lit. "beautiful marble") is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. One of the main historic attractions of Athens, it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.A stadium was built on the site of a simple racecourse by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) c. 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games. It was rebuilt in marble by Herodes Atticus, an Athenian Roman senator, by 144 AD and had a capacity of 50,000 seats. After the rise of Christianity in the 4th century it was largely abandoned. The stadium was excavated in 1869 and hosted the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875. After being refurbished, it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896 and was the venue for 4 of the 9 contested sports. It was used for various purposes in the 20th century and was once again used as an Olympic venue in 2004. It is the finishing point for the annual Athens Classic Marathon. It is also the last venue in Greece from where the Olympic flame handover ceremony to the host nation takes place.
