Ymittos

Dafni (Greek: Δάφνη) is a suburban town in the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dafni-Ymittos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit.

Dafni (Greek: Δάφνη) is a metro station on Athens Metro Line 2, which opened on 15 November 2000, and was the line's terminus until 5 June 2004, when Agios Dimitrios station opened.

Agios Ioannis (Greek: Άγιος Ιωάννης, lit. 'St. John's'), also known as Aghios Ioannis on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 2. The station opened on 15 November 2000, as part of the extension from Syntagma to Dafni.

Neos Kosmos (Greek: Νέος Κόσμος [ˈneos ˈkosmos] ; meaning "New World") is a neighborhood in Athens, Greece.

Gouva (Greek: Γούβα pronounced [ˈɣu.va]), also known as Agios Artemios (Greek: Άγιος Αρτέμιος pronounced [ˈaʝos aɾˈte.mi.os]) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece. It is located to the southeast of central Athens between the First Cemetery of Athens and Dafni. The district built at the beginning of the 20th century, initially by destitute Athenians. Later in this district were settled refugees from Asia Minor and laborers from Greek countryside.

Lower Agryle, or Agryle Hypenerthen (Ancient Greek: Ἀγρυλὴ ὑπένερθεν), was a deme of ancient Attica, one of two demoi of Agryle. The site of Lower Agryle is located southwest of modern Ardettos.

Agios Dimitrios–Alexandros Panagoulis (Greek: Άγιος Δημήτριος–Αλέξανδρος Παναγούλης), commonly known as Agios Dimitrios, and also known as Aghios Dimitrios on signage, is a station on line 2 of the Athens Metro. It served as the line's terminus from 5 June 2004, when it was inaugurated, until the extension to Elliniko opened on 26 July 2013. The station took its name from the municipality of Agios Dimitrios (Brahami), which is the area it serves, also the station has the name of Alexandros Panagoulis, a fighter against the dictatorial regime of 1967-1974 and later Member of Parliament, who was killed in a car crash at the point where the station is situated on 1 May 1976. The station is located beneath the Vouliagmenis Avenue. It is entirely underground and has a central island style platform, at the ends of which are the stairways, escalators & lifts up to the concourse level from which there are 4 exits to street level. The station is attached to Athens Metro Mall, one of Athens' major shopping centers. In the initial plans to build the metro line 2 the station Agios Dimitrios / Alexandros Panagoulis was known by name "Ilioupoli", which came from the municipality of Ilioupoli, one of the areas which it serves. During construction of the Station it was decided to rename the station to "Alexandros Panagoulis". However shortly before the inauguration of the station it was decided to re-rename the station to its current name to appear more relevant to the municipality it serves.

Kynosargous (Greek: Κυνοσάργους [ci.noˈsaɾ.ɣus]), up until 1908 known as Dourgouti (Greek: Δουργούτι [ðuɾˈɣuti]), is a small neighborhood of Athens, Greece. It is named after the Cynosarges which is thought to have been in the area in antiquity. It is served by Syngrou Fix station on Line 2 of the Athens Metro.

The First Cemetery of Athens (Greek: Πρώτο Νεκροταφείο Αθηνών, Próto Nekrotafeío Athinón) is the official cemetery of the City of Athens and the first to be built. It opened in 1837 and soon became a prestigious cemetery for Greeks and foreigners. The cemetery is located behind the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathinaiko Stadium in central Athens. It can be found at the top end of Anapafseos Street (Eternal Rest Street). It is a large green space with pines and cypresses. In the cemetery there are three churches. The main one is the Church of Saint Theodores and there is also a smaller one dedicated to Saint Lazarus. The third church of Saint Charles is a Catholic church. The cemetery includes several impressive tombs such as those of Heinrich Schliemann, designed by Ernst Ziller; Ioannis Pesmazoglou; Georgios Averoff; and one tomb with a famous sculpture of a dead young girl called I Koimomeni ("The Sleeping Girl") and sculpted by Yannoulis Chalepas from the island of Tinos. There are also burial areas for Protestants and Jews, however, this segregation is not compulsory. The cemetery is under the Municipality of Athens and is declared an historical monument.

Syngrou Fix station is an interchange between Athens Metro Line 2 and Athens Tram lines 4 and 5. The tram stop is known simply as Fix. The metro station opened on 16 November 2000 as part of the Dafni extension, and the tram stop opened on 19 July 2004 as part of the initial scheme. The station name is derived from Syngrou Avenue, where it is located, and the former Fix brewery, which was on the road near the station site.

Onassis Stegi (Greek: Στέγη Ιδρύματος Ωνάση), formerly known as the Onassis Cultural Center (Greek: Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση), is a cultural venue in Athens, Greece, owned by the Onassis Foundation. Afroditi Panagiotakou serves as Director of Culture of the Onassis Foundation and Stegi respectively.
