Kunčice (Ostrava)

Hrabová is a municipal district of the city of Ostrava, Czech Republic. It is located on the south side of the city. Hrabová is ranked 10th out of 23 districts by population. The Ostravice river flows through the district. The district has a primary school, nursery schools, medical facilities, a post office and the municipal police.

Kunčičky (Polish: Kończyce Małe, German: Klein Kuntschitz, till 1924 known as Malé Kunčice) is a part of the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. Administratively it is a part of the district of Slezská Ostrava. Kunčičky was formerly an independent municipality, in 1941 it became a part of Ostrava.

Stará Ves nad Ondřejnicí (German: Bruneswerde) is a municipality in Ostrava-City District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,900 inhabitants.

Vratimov (German: Rattimau, Polish: Racimów) is a town in Ostrava-City District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,300 inhabitants.

Lower Vítkovice (Czech: Dolní oblast Vítkovice) is a national site of industrial heritage located in the Vítkovice district of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. It includes an extensive industrial area Vítkovice ironworks with a unique collection of industrial architecture. A set of three successive parts - coal mine, coke ovens and blast furnace operations - also called Ostravian Hradčany, after Hradčany, the Castle District of Prague. The area is registered in the list of European cultural heritage, and was placed on the Czech Republic's list of tentative UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2001 under the name The Industrial Complexes at Ostrava.

Vítkovice (German: Witkowitz, Polish: Witkowice) is an administrative district of the city of Ostrava, capital of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. Situated on the left bank of the Ostravice River in the Moravian part of the city, Vítkovice was a town in its own right until its incorporation in 1924.

Městský stadion v Ostravě-Vítkovicích is a multi-purpose stadium in Ostrava-Vítkovice, Czech Republic. Used primarily for football, it is the home stadium of FC Vítkovice and FC Baník Ostrava. It also hosts the annual Golden Spike Ostrava athletics meeting. The stadium holds 15,123 spectators. It hosted the 2018 IAAF Continental Cup.

Colours of Ostrava, or simply Colours, is a multi-genre festival, the biggest international music festival in the Czech Republic and one of the biggest music events in Central Europe, held every summer since 2002 in Ostrava, the third biggest city in the country. Colours features 16 stages including 4 big open-air stages (the main one with a capacity of 15,000), 6 indoor stages, a theatre stage, a workshop stage, a kids' stage, a cinema and live discussions. It features performers from all major popular music genres as well as avant-garde music and world music. Until 2012 Colours took place in the well-known Silesian Ostrava Castle entertainment district and on the Černá louka Fairgrounds, as well as at other places in the city centre. In 2010, attendance exceeded 30,000 and it became the first festival in the Czech Republic to be sold out a month in advance. In 2011, the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary, being held from 14 to 17 July. Since 2012 the festival takes place on recultivated brownfields in the Vítkovice city district.

Silesian Ostrava Castle (Czech: Slezskoostravský hrad) is a castle in Ostrava, in the Northeastern Czech Republic. It was originally built in the 1280s near the confluence of the Lučina and Ostravice rivers. The castle was built for military purposes due to its proximity to the Polish border. In 1534, the gothic castle was rebuilt into a renaissance chateau. It burned down in 1872 but was rebuilt. It was restored recently after many years of dilapidation, caused by coal mining under the castle. Today, the castle is one of the most important tourist attractions of the city. The castle held the Colours of Ostrava festival in 2007.

Lučina (Polish: Łucyna or Łuczyna) is a river in Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. It is the tributary of the Ostravice River to which it enters in Ostrava. It originates in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids range and then flows northwestward through Horní Bludovice and Dolní Bludovice, near Havířov. Žermanice Reservoir is built on the river. River is distinct for its meanders which are protected as a nature monument.

The Antonín Dvořák Theatre (Czech: Divadlo Antonína Dvořáka) is an opera house in Ostrava, Czech Republic, which opened in 1907. Since 1919 it has been one of two permanent venues of the National Moravian Silesian Theatre.

The Diocese of Ostrava-Opava (Latin: Ostraviensis-Opaviensis) is a suffragan Latin diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Olomouc in Moravskoslezský kraj, Moravia, in the Czech Republic. The cathedral episcopal see is Katedrála Božského Spasitele, dedicated to the Divine Saviour, in Ostrava, and it also has a Co-Cathedral, the Co-Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Opava a Minor Basilica: Basilica of the Visitation of Our Lady in Frýdek-Místek
