Adamov (Blansko District)

The Brno Highlands (Czech: Brněnská vrchovina) are highlands and a geomorphological macroregion of the Czech Republic. It is located mainly in the South Moravian Region, but it also extends into the Olomouc and Pardubice regions.

Olomučany is a municipality and village in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. Olomučany lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Blansko, 16 km (10 mi) north of Brno, and 183 km (114 mi) south-east of Prague.

Býčí skála Cave (Czech: Býčí skála, German: Stierfelsen, English: The Bull Rock Cave) is part of the second longest cave system in Moravia, Czech Republic. It is also famous for archaeological discoveries. Except for the entrance, the cave is not accessible to the public, although occasionally it is opened for visitors. The cave is in the central part of the Moravian Karst, in the Josefovské Valley (Josefovské údolí) between the town of Adamov and the village of Křtiny. Together with the cave system Rudické propadání Býčí skála forms the second longest cave system in the country, after the Amatérská Cave. Its known length is over 13 km.

Babice nad Svitavou is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,400 inhabitants. It lies on the Svitava River.

Habrůvka is a municipality and village in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Habrůvka lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Blansko, 14 km (9 mi) north-east of Brno, and 187 km (116 mi) south-east of Prague.

Výpustek Cave (Czech: jeskyně Výpustek) is show cave in the central part of the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area in Czech Republic. It is located in the upper section of the Křtiny Valley, in the municipality of Křtiny. It forms two subterranean levels of the ancient ponor system of the Křtinský Brook. It is a significant paleontological locality, one of the few European sites where complete skeletons of early Quaternary (Pleistocene) fauna can be found.The total length of all the spaces known today is ca. 1,300 m with denivelation of 55 m. In the period of speleological explorations in the 18th century it was considered the largest cave in Moravia. During the 20th century it was intensively used for exploitation of phosphate clay, as an army depot, German army factory – airplane motors manufacturing, and secret command post of the Czechoslovak People's Army; in spite of that some parts were preserved in the natural state. The cave has been open for tourist visits since 2008.Public tours are 600 m long and take 75 minutes. Air temperature 7–8 °C (46 °F), relative humidity cca 95%.

Kanice is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. Kanice lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Brno and 189 km (117 mi) south-east of Prague.

Brno-Jehnice is a district of the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. Originally, it was an independent village called Jehnice. It became a part of Brno in 1971. Its cadastral territory has an area of 4.07 km² and 1,090 people live here as of 2021. The first possible mention of Jehnice dates from 1292, in the following centuries the village belonged mainly to the Lichtenburgs and mainly to the Boskovices. Their property was acquired by the Liechtenstein family at the beginning of the 17th century. A part of the village has been a free manor since the Middle Ages, which was also purchased by the Lichtensteins at the end of the 18th century. In 1801, a small independent estate was created from Jehnice and Mokrá Hora, gradually with different owners. From the middle of the 19th century, Jehnice was an independent municipality, and in 1971 it became part of Brno. At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, a more extensive suburban development arose here. Due to its forest character, the Jehnice area is used as a tourist and recreational facility for the residents of Brno. On the road to Vranov there is a listed church of God's torment, right in the village there is a bell tower and several other sights.
