The Aspropyrgos Refinery is an oil refining complex located near Aspropyrgos, a suburb of Athens, in Greece. It is operated by Hellenic Petroleum. The refinery has a nominal annual refining capacity of 7.5 million tons (285,000 barrels per day (45,300 m3/d)).

Cettus or Kettos (Ancient Greek: Κηττός) was a deme, or suburb, of ancient Attica of the phyle of Leontis, sending three or four delegates to the Boule.Its site is tentatively located near modern Daphni.

The Daphni Cave is a cave in Attica, Greece, that was sacred to the god Pan. It is located near the Byzantine monastery.

Daphni or Dafni (Modern Greek: Δαφνί; Katharevousa: Δαφνίον, Daphnion) is an eleventh-century Byzantine monastery eleven kilometers (6.8 miles) northwest of central Athens in the suburb of Chaidari, south of Athinon Avenue (GR-8A). It is situated near the forest of the same name, on the Sacred Way that led to Eleusis. The forest covers about 18 km2 (7 sq mi), and surrounds a laurel grove. "Daphni" is the modern Greek name that means "laurel grove", derived from Daphneion (Lauretum).The Daphni Monastery, along with the famous monasteries of Hosios Loukas near Delphi and Nea Moni on the island of Chios, are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their significant historical and architectural value. These monasteries are famed as masterpieces of middle Byzantine architecture, and are especially noted for their sumptuous interior gold-ground mosaics.

German submarine U-596 was a Type VIIC U-boat built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine for service during World War II. She was laid down on 4 January 1941 by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg as yard number 572, launched on 17 September 1941 and commissioned on 13 November under Kapitänleutnant Gunter Jahn. He was replaced on 28 July 1943 by Oberleutnant zur See Victor-Whilhelm Nonn who was superseded by Oblt.z.S. Hans Kolbus in July 1944. The boat's service began on 13 November 1941 with training as part of the 8th U-boat Flotilla. She was transferred to the 3rd flotilla on 1 July 1942 and moved on to the 29th flotilla on 19 November.

Thria (Ancient Greek: Θρία) was an important deme of ancient Athens, from which the Eleusinian plain, or, at all events, the central or eastern part of it, was called the Thriasian Plain (Θριάσιον πεδίον). When Attica was invaded from the west, the Thriasian Plain was the first to suffer from the ravages of the enemy. A portion of the Eleusinian plain was also called the Rharian Plain (Ράριον), in ancient times, but its site is unknown.The territory of Thria appears to have been extended as far as the salt-springs Rheiti, since the temple of Aphrodite Phila is said to have been in Thria. The site of Thria is located southeast of modern Aspropyrgos.

Keratsini-Drapetsona (Greek: Κερατσίνι-Δραπετσώνα) is a municipality in the Piraeus regional unit, Attica, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town of Keratsini. The municipality has a population of 89,386 inhabitants, according to the 2021 census and an area of 9.326 square kilometres (3.601 sq mi).The municipality was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following two former municipalities, Drapetsona and Keratsini, which became municipal units.

Keratsini (Greek: Κερατσίνι) is a suburban town in the western part of the Piraeus regional unit, which in turn is a part of the Athens agglomeration. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Keratsini-Drapetsona, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit.

Eroeadae or Eroiadai (Ancient Greek: Ἐροιάδαι) was a deme in ancient Attica of the phyle of Hippothontis, sending one delegate to the Athenian Boule..Its site is located near modern Chaidari.

Thymoetadae or Thymoitadai (Ancient Greek: Θυμοιτάδαι) or Thymaetedae or Thymaitadai (Θυμαιτάδαι), was a deme of ancient Attica. It derived its name from Thymoetas, a king of Attica, possessed a port, from which Theseus secretly set sail on his expedition to Crete. This retired port seems to have been the same as the Phoron Limen (Φώρων λιμήν) or “Thieves' port,” so called from its being frequented by smugglers. It is a small circular harbour at the entrance to the bay of Salamis. Xypete, Peiraeeus, Phalerum, and Thymoetadae formed the τετράκωμοι, which had a temple of Heracles in common (τετράκωμον Ἡρακλεῖον). It was situated on the Attic side of the Strait of Salamis; and it was from the heights of Aegaleos, above this temple, that Xerxes I witnessed the Battle of Salamis. The σισύραι, or garments of goatskins of Thymoetadae, appear to have been celebrated.The site of Thymoetadae is located near Keratsini.

Neapoli Stadium is a football stadium in Nikea, Piraeus, Attica. The stadium was completed in 1965, and currently has a seating capacity of about 6,000.The stadium is mostly used for football matches and is the home field for Ionikos F.C. Record attendance is 6,565 for a match against Olympiacos F.C. in 1990. On June 13, 2009, it was also used as the field for the Rugby Sevens' finals of the Hellenic Rugby Federation.

Corydallus or Korydallos (Ancient Greek: Κορυδαλλός) was a deme of ancient Attica, at the foot of the mountain of the same name, and is placed by Strabo between Thria and Peiraeeus, near the straits of Salamis, opposite the islands of Pharmacussae. This position is in accordance with the account of Diodorus, who, after relating the contest of Theseus with Cercyon, which, according to Pausanias, took place to the west of Eleusis, says that Theseus next killed Procrustes, whose abode was in Corydallus. Pliny the Elder mistakenly says that Corydallus is a mountain on the frontiers of Boeotia and Attica.The site of Corydallus is near the modern Korydallos.
