Yardley Gobion

The site of Moor End Castle (historically known as Moreende) is situated opposite Moor End Farm, along Moor End Road in the civil parish of Yardley Gobion, within the historic county of Northamptonshire (the Modern Authority of Northamptonshire, the pre-Local Government Act 1972 county of Northamptonshire).

Grafton Regis Meadow is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) nature reserve east of Grafton Regis in Northamptonshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This is a traditionally managed hay meadow on the bank of the Grand Union Canal. Birds visiting the site include curlews, lapwings, long-tailed tits, bullfinches, yellowhammers and wrens.There is no public access to the site.

Mill Crook and Grafton Regis Meadow are a 7.9-hectare (20-acre) nature reserve managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.Signs of medieval ridge and furrow still survive on these traditionally managed hay meadows in Mill Crook on the bank of the River Tove. It has diverse flora, with grasses such as meadow foxtail and sweet vernal-grass, and herbs including great burnet and ribwort plantain.Visitors are advised to contact the Northamptonshire office of the Wildlife Trust for advice on access.

St Bartholomew's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the former village of Furtho, Northamptonshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. A former medieval village, it became deserted following enclosures that began in the early 16th century and were completed by Thomas Furtho in the 1570s. All that remains in the vicinity of the church is a farm and a dovecote.

Grafton Regis is a village and civil parish in the south of the English county of Northamptonshire. The population of the civil parish (including Alderton) at the 2001 census was 152. This increased to 253 at the 2011 census. The village is east of the A508 road, on which it has a short frontage and two bus stops. It is ca. 8 miles (13 km) south of Northampton and 9 miles (14 km) north of Milton Keynes. This village is "linked" with the title of the Duke of Grafton (the first Duke was a son of King Charles II of England ).

Old Stratford is a village and wider civil parish in the south of the English county of Northamptonshire. The population of the civil parish (including Passenham) at the 2011 Census was 1,935. The 'Stratford' part of the village name is Anglo-Saxon in origin and means 'ford on a Roman road'. The Roman road in this sense is the Watling Street that runs through the middle of the village.

The Grafton Way is a 13-mile (21 km) (also measured at 11.5 miles or 18.5 kilometres) footpath in Northamptonshire, England. It runs south east from Greens Norton to Cosgrove (or Wolverton), where it meets the Knightley Way. It is named after the Dukes of Grafton, major land-owners in the area in the 18th and 19th centuries.It is recognised by the Long Distance Walkers Association and is marked on Ordnance Survey maps.The walk starts in the centre of Greens Norton, and heads south east, skirting the south-west edge of Towcester. It passes through the hamlet of Pury End near Paulerspury, and crosses the A5 road (the ancient Watling Street) before passing the south-west of Yardley Gobion and the deserted village of Furtho to reach Cosgrove on the Grand Union Canal. Some descriptions of the walk stop here, others continue along the canal tow-path to Old Wolverton on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.

Cosgrove is a village in Northamptonshire, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Stony Stratford, 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Central Milton Keynes and 12 miles (19.3 km) south of Northampton along the A508 road and 8 miles (12.9 km) south-east of Towcester along the A5 road (the Roman road Watling Street). The River Tove passes to the east of the village flowing into the River Great Ouse just south, the latter marking the boundary with the City of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. The Grand Union Canal passes through the middle of the village. The villages name means 'Cof's grove' or perhaps, less likely, 'Cof's pit/trench'.
