Peratallada

Palau-sator is a village in the province of Girona within the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 12.37 square kilometres (4.78 sq mi), and included a population of 295 in 2018. Palau-sator lies on an inland stage of the GR 92 long distance footpath, between Torroella de Montgrí and Begur. The Rural Museum of Palau-sator was inaugurated in 1996, and features a collection of traditional farming equipment, carriages, carts, and tools that were once used by local farmers. There are also displays of chores and other items that may be found in rural farmhouses.

Sant Pau de Fontclara is a parish church and former Benedictine monastery in the village of Fontclara, Palau-sator, Girona Province, Catalonia, Spain. It was formerly dependent on Lagrasse Abbey.

The GR 92 long-distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, passes through the village. Fontanilles lies on an inland stage of the path, between Torroella de Montgrí and Begur. To the north, towards Torroella, the path passes through Gualta, and to the south, it passes through Palau-sator.

It is one of the two comarques into which Empordà was divided in the comarcal division of 1936, the other one being Alt Empordà. It is popularly known as L'Empordanet ("the Little Empordà"). The capital is La Bisbal d'Empordà.

The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, passes through the village. Gualta lies on an inland stage of the path, between Torroella de Montgrí and Begur. To the north the path heads directly towards Torroella across the Ter river, and to the south it passes through Fontanilles.

The parish church of St. Fruitós, as mentioned in a testament from 1121, was dependent on the priory of Santa Anna of Barcelona until the seizure (first third of the nineteenth century). The economy is based primarily on agriculture and livestock, although the majority of its people work today in Palafrugell, the service sector.
