Palau-sator

Sant Pau de Fontclara is a parish church and former Benedictine monastery in the village of Fontclara, Palau-sator, Girona Province, Catalonia, Spain. It was formerly dependent on Lagrasse Abbey.

Peratallada is a town in the municipality of Forallac, in the county of Baix Empordà, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located 22 km east of Girona. Its name is derived from pedra tallada, meaning 'carved stone'. Declared a historic-artistic monument, most of the buildings are built from stone carved from the fosse or moat which still encircles parts of this small fortified medieval town. The privately owned Castle of Peratallada is the dominant structure in the center of the town, with a 13th-century Romanesque church dedicated to Sant Esteve (Saint Stephen) outside the town walls. The castle has been documented as early as 1065 AD and it was restored as a luxury hotel in the 1960s. During restoration, traces of settlement were found that date back to the Bronze Age. Today, Peratallada is known for its beautiful old stone buildings, rutted stone streets and passageways. Its proximity to the beaches of the Costa Brava and its numerous restaurants, small boutique hotels and artists' galleries make it a popular destination. The 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was partly filmed on location here. A festival – the Festa Major, is held every year in early August with concerts and activities and there is a medieval festival in the autumn.

Fontanilles is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 9.29 square kilometres (3.59 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 160. The GR 92 long-distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, passes through the village. Fontanilles lies on an inland stage of the path, between Torroella de Montgrí and Begur. To the north, towards Torroella, the path passes through Gualta, and to the south, it passes through Palau-sator.

Ca la Pruna is a 16th-century fortified house, in the town of Pals (Baix Empordà region). It is included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, passes through the village. Gualta lies on an inland stage of the path, between Torroella de Montgrí and Begur. To the north the path heads directly towards Torroella across the Ter river, and to the south it passes through Fontanilles.

Forallac is a village and municipality in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 49.97 square kilometres (19.29 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 1,729. It includes the village of Peratallada.

Llofriu (name of Germanic origin) is an aggregate of the town of Palafrugell (Baix Empordà), in Catalonia, Spain. As of 2005, it has 294 inhabitants. The parish church of St. Fruitós, as mentioned in a testament from 1121, was dependent on the priory of Santa Anna of Barcelona until the seizure (first third of the nineteenth century). The economy is based primarily on agriculture and livestock, although the majority of its people work today in Palafrugell, the service sector.

Baix Empordà (Catalan: [ˈbaʒ əmpuɾˈða]; Spanish: Bajo Ampurdán; "Lower Empordà") is a comarca (county) in the Girona region, Catalonia, in Spain. It is one of the two comarques into which Empordà was divided in the comarcal division of 1936, the other one being Alt Empordà. It is popularly known as L'Empordanet ("the Little Empordà"). The capital is La Bisbal d'Empordà.

Regencós (Catalan pronunciation: [rəʒəŋˈkos]) is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 6.23 square kilometres (2.41 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 291.
