Cheia Monastery

Dragomirești-Vale is a commune in the southwestern part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name is derived from Dragomir, a Romanian name of Slavic origin (from Драгомир, which means "precious and peaceful"), the suffix -ești, and noun Vale, which means "valley". A medium-size commune, it is composed of 3 villages: Dragomirești-Deal, Dragomirești-Vale and Zurbaua. It is situated near Bucharest, some 14 km (8.7 mi) away from the city centre and 4 km (2.5 mi) from the Bucharest–Pitești highway. The nearest airports are Henri Coandă International Airport, Otopeni (30 km away), and Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (25 km away).

Chiajna (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈkjaʒna]) is a commune in the south-west of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, immediately west of the capital, Bucharest. It is composed of three villages: Chiajna, Dudu and Roșu. The mayor of Chiajna is currently Mircea Minea (National Liberal Party).

Concordia Stadium is a football stadium in Chiajna, Romania. The stadium holds 5,123 people. It is the home ground of Concordia Chiajna. It hosted three group games, one semifinal and the final of the 2011 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship.

The Ilfov (not to be confused with the Ilfovăț) is a left tributary of the river Dâmbovița in Romania. The river has given its name to Ilfov County. Its source is in the hills west of Târgoviște. It flows through the villages Udrești, Bungetu, Ilfoveni, Mircea Vodă, Heleșteu, Răcari and Bâldana. It discharges into the Dâmbovița near Bâcu. Its length is 96 km (60 mi) and its basin size is 203 km2 (78 sq mi).

Preciziei (eng. [of the] precision), formerly known as Industriilor is a terminus metro station in Bucharest. It is situated in the industrial park in the west of the city. Industrial facilities directly served by the metro station: Coca-Cola factory, Urbis. Other industrial facilities in the park can be reached by tram. The station is located on the Preciziei Avenue. This is the last stop on the M3 Line connecting Preciziei to Anghel Saligny. The station was opened on 19 August 1983 as part of the extension from Eroilor.

Chiajna Monastery is the name of a ruined church situated on the outskirts of Bucharest, Romania which is the subject of many legends, including the story that it is cursed. The information centre, Giulești Park, is devoted to the upkeep and protection of the building, which is a national heritage site.

Ciorogârla is a commune in the southwestern part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Ciorogârla and Dârvari. The Ciorogârla River flows through this location; its name, of Slavic origin, means "murky stream".

Domnești is a commune in the southwestern part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name is derived from "Domn" (Lord, referring to the ruler of Wallachia) and suffix "-ești". It is composed of two villages, Domnești and Țegheș. The commune is located west of Bucharest, on the banks of the Ciorogârla and Sabar rivers, and on the left bank of the Argeș River. It is crossed by county road DJ602, which leads east to the Ghencea Extension neighborhood of Bucharest and north-east to Ciorogârla and further into Giurgiu County to Joița and Săbăreni, then returning to Ilfov County in Chitila (where it intersects with DN7) and Buftea (where it ends in DN1A).The Domnești railway station serves the CFR Line 900, which connects Bucharest with the western city of Timișoara.

Dâmbovița Lake ("Lacul Dâmbovița") is a lake situated on Dâmbovița River in Bucharest and Chiajna, west of Morii Lake and bordering that lake. It has an area of 55 ha (140 acres). The lake is 3 km (1.9 mi) from the center of Bucharest (University Square) and is located between Morii Lake to the east, Giulești district to the north, Chiajna commune and Roșu Forest to the south. A projected underground highway entails a tunnel which will link Morii Lake, Dâmbovița Lake, and Chiajna to Centrul Civic, Unirii Square, and the A1 motorway.

Chitila (Romanian pronunciation: [kiˈtila]) is a town in the west of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, situated 9 km to the north west of Bucharest. It is often seen as a satellite town of Bucharest. One village, Rudeni, is administered by the town.
