One California is a 133.5 m (438 ft), 32-story office skyscraper completed in 1969 in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. It is the 31st-tallest building in the city. The architect of the building was Welton Becket Associates.

Yerba Buena was the original name of the settlement that later became San Francisco. Located near the northeastern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, between the Presidio of San Francisco and the Mission San Francisco de Asís, it was originally intended as a trading post for ships visiting San Francisco Bay. The settlement was arranged in the Spanish style around a plaza that remains as the present day Portsmouth Square.

There is a plaza located at the base of the building. The building is owned and managed by affiliates of Shorenstein Properties.

Yerba Buena Cove was a cove on San Francisco Bay where the Mexican pueblo of Yerba Buena was located. It lay between Clarks Point to the north (southeast of Telegraph Hill, near the corner of Broadway and Battery Streets) and Rincon Point to the south (near the corner of Harrison and Spear Streets). The beach of the cove was set back as far as what is now Montgomery Street between Clay and Washington Streets. Between the beginning of the California Gold Rush and 1860, the cove was filled in, and the downtown of the city of San Francisco built over it. A number of ships were sunk in the cove, including some that were intentionally scuttled to allow the owners to claim the land around the sunken ship. Wrecks known to remain buried include the Apollo, the Niantic, and the Rome, the latter of which was discovered in 1994 during construction of the Muni Metro Turnback Tunnel.

333 Market Street is a class-A office skyscraper on Market Street between Fremont and Beale in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. The 144 m (472 ft), 33-story tower was designed by Gin Wong Associates, and completed in 1979.

388 Market Street is a 24-story, 94 m (308 ft) mixed-use flatiron skyscraper, completed in 1987 on Market Street in the financial district of San Francisco, California. The building is clad in red granite. The top seven floors house luxury apartments, while the lower floors contain office space. It was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

100 Pine Center is a class-A office building at the northwest corner of Pine Street and Front Street in San Francisco's Financial District. The building is 145 m (476 ft) with 33 floors, and 402,500 sq ft (37,000 m2) of rentable office space, a 150-car garage including 30 valet parking spaces.Completed in 1972 as headquarters of the Continental Insurance Company, the building is among the earlier of San Francisco's modern skyscrapers. It is one of 39 San Francisco high rises reported by the U.S. Geological Survey as potentially vulnerable to a large earthquake, due to a flawed welding technique. By the start of the dot-com bubble the property, then owned by Grosvenor Properties, was outdated and suffered from deferred capital maintenance.In 1997, the building was purchased by Walton Capital, which invested heavily in upgrades, re-measured the building at 36,000 square feet (3,300 m2) larger than before, then aggressively re-leased space at higher rates. After two failed transactions, Walton Capital sold the building to investors led by Unico Properties in May 2000 for US$156 million. Unico re-sold the property to the Alaska Permanent Fund based on a US$149 million price in August 2005, but retained a minority ownership share. The property was acquired by the Rockpoint Group in February 2017 for US$287.5 million.

Embarcadero Center is a commercial complex of four office towers, two hotels, a shopping center with more than 125 stores, bars, and restaurants, and a fitness center on three levels located in San Francisco, California. There is an outdoor ice skating rink during winter months. Embarcadero Center sits on a 9.8-acre (4.0 ha) site largely bounded by Clay Street (to the north), Sacramento Street (to the south), Battery Street (to the west), and the Embarcadero (to the east), in the financial district of San Francisco.Developed by Trammell Crow, David Rockefeller and John Portman, construction began with Tower One in 1971, with the last off-complex extension, Embarcadero West, completed in 1989. The two extension buildings are west of Battery. Boston Properties sold the Embarcadero West building to Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA-CREF) in December 2005 for more than US$205 million.The 4.8 million square feet (445,900 m2) complex accommodates offices for 14,000 people along with mixed-use areas accommodating retail, dining, entertainment and cinema functions. The cinema’s operator closed its doors permanently in February 2022.

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company General Office Building and Annex is a historic office building located at 245 Market St. in San Francisco, California. The building was constructed in 1923–25 to serve as the Pacific Gas and Electric Company headquarters. Architects Bakewell & Brown designed the Beaux-Arts building. The seventeen-story building features an arcaded lower section on the first two stories, a plain vertical shaft, and multiple setbacks at the top four stories. The entire exterior is clad in terra cotta, which is also used to decorate the lower and upper sections. The building's design complements the neighboring Matson Building.Pacific Gas and Electric began a major expansion period shortly after constructing their headquarters, and they absorbed several other power companies in northern and central California. While business declined during the Great Depression, the company rebounded during World War II, and then needed more space in its headquarters. In 1945 the company built an annex to the building; the annex, which is interconnected with the original building, was designed to match the original building's architecture.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1995.
