Lenox Square

The Rich's Great Tree, now the Macy's Great Tree (and briefly the Great Tree at Macy's), was a large 70–90-foot (21–27 m) tall cut pine Christmas tree that had been an Atlanta tradition since 1948. As of 2013, the tree has been replaced by a much smaller artificial one in the parking lot, which was then moved back to the roof for 2014.

Johnsontown was a settlement in what is now the Buckhead Community of Atlanta, Georgia which was located on the present site of the Lenox MARTA station. It was settled by African Americans in 1912. Until 1982 approximately thirty families lived here on 23-foot (7.0 m) by 143-foot (44 m) lots, until the land was acquired to build the rapid transit station.“In those days, if they wanted your property, they’d condemn it and take it,” said Sam Sawyer, the pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Johnsontown. However, T. M. Alexander Jr., a Morehouse College graduate and banker who had served as the first president of the Atlanta Economic Development Corporation (now Invest Atlanta), volunteered his expertise in helping landowners negotiate settlements many times larger than their original offers. The neighborhood, which saw its first paved street only in its final years, was extensively documented as part of the Historic American Buildings Survey by the Library of Congress before it was razed. Sawyer said “If you go there now, you’d never know there had been a black community named Johnsontown.”

The Pinnacle is a 22-story skyscraper in the Buckhead district of Atlanta. Built at the corner of Lenox and Peachtree Roads, construction was finished in 1998. Given that Buckhead is the financial center of both Atlanta and the Southeast, many of the buildings tenants are in the financial sector, including brokerage and consulting firms such as Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

Salesforce Tower Atlanta is a 425 ft (130m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1986 and has 34 floors. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, Inc. designed the building, which is tied with 1100 Peachtree as the 25th tallest building in Atlanta. A second tower with the same profile, but boasting ten additional floors, and a four-hundred-room hotel were originally planned for the surrounding site but never built.The building entry is undergoing renovations. Renovations are to begin August 1, 2017.On October 17, 2018 Salesforce.com announced plans to occupy 3 additional floors. This will bring their total occupancy to 7 floors thus earning Salesforce naming rights to the tower. Other office occupants include RentPath, Rubicon, SAS Institute, Ademco, Soltech, iFOLIO, and Carat.

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) is a nonprofit corporation based in Atlanta, Georgia, and formed on March 28, 2006, as the successor to the North American Electric Reliability Council (also known as NERC). The original NERC was formed on June 1, 1968, by the electric utility industry to promote the reliability and adequacy of bulk power transmission in the electric utility systems of North America. NERC's mission states that it is to "ensure the reliability of the North American bulk power system."NERC oversees six regional reliability entities and encompasses all of the interconnected power systems of Canada and the contiguous United States, as well as a portion of the Mexican state of Baja California. NERC's major responsibilities include working with all stakeholders to develop standards for power system operation, monitoring and enforcing compliance with those standards, assessing resource adequacy, and providing educational and training resources as part of an accreditation program to ensure power system operators remain qualified and proficient. NERC also investigates and analyzes the causes of significant power system disturbances in order to help prevent future events. NERC's standards for generating resources require that sufficient generating capacity be provided such that customers will need to be disconnected less often than once every ten years. These standards are mandatory for only some of the regional entities.

Buckhead is a train station in Atlanta, Georgia, serving the Red Line of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. This station is the first station only served by the Red Line. It is located in the Buckhead neighborhood in the median of State Route 400, a limited access highway, at Peachtree Road/State Route 141. The station is in easy walking distance of many offices, hotels and shopping centers, including Lenox Square, although the Lenox MARTA station provides easier access to the mall. The buc, a zero-fare bus service, also provides transportation to the surrounding area. The Buckhead Station also features Zipcars.

The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is a 580 ft (177 m) tall combination hotel/condominium building skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was constructed from 2006 to 2008 and has 42 floors. It is the 12th tallest building in Atlanta and the fifteenth tallest residential highrise in the United States. The design architect for the building was Robert A.M. Stern Architects with Atlanta firm Milton Pate Architects serving as the Architect of Record. The project was developed by Atlanta-based City Centre Properties, LLC and constructed by Holder Construction Company.

Peachtree Park is a neighborhood in the Buckhead Community of Atlanta, Georgia. It is bounded by: Peachtree Road and North Buckhead on the northwest Georgia 400 and Lenox Square and Pine Hills on the east MARTA north-south rail line and the Miami Circle design district of Lindbergh/Morosgo on the southeast Piedmont Road and Buckhead Village and Garden Hills on the west

The Atlanta Financial Center (AFC) is a 914,747-square-foot office building complex located in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. The office complex is situated directly over the Georgia 400 highway and features a black aluminum/glass-frame design, composed of three interconnected towers: an 11-story South Tower, a 12-story North Tower and a 19-story East Tower. The Atlanta Financial Center is situated next to MARTA's Red Line Buckhead station; the Red Line runs directly underneath the complex. Atlanta Financial Center was awarded a LEED silver certification in 2012.

3344 Peachtree is a 50-story high-rise building of 635 feet (194 m) height located in Atlanta's uptown business district of Buckhead on Peachtree Road, the northern extension of Peachtree Street. The building is a mixed-use tower that incorporates upscale dining, office space, and 82 condominia at 3344 Peachtree Road. Completed in the spring of 2008, it is the ninth tallest building in Atlanta and the tallest mixed-use building in Atlanta. It has also surpassed the Park Avenue Condominiums as the tallest building in Atlanta not to be located downtown or midtown. The building is owned by Cousins Properties of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Alliance Center is a complex in Atlanta, Georgia. Its tallest building is the 478-foot, 40-floor Paramount at Buckhead. It also includes the 22-floor One Alliance Center, and the 30-floor Two Alliance Center. Previously the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta was in Suite 1600 on the 16th floor of One Alliance Center, and the consul general's office had a northward panoramic view of Kennesaw Mountain. In 2005 the consul general's mansion was also in Buckhead. In 2002 the consulate announced it was moving from Colony Square to One Alliance Center. It had signed a ten-year lease there for fewer than 26,000 square feet (2,400 m2) of space. The consulate had over three years left on the lease of Colony Square. Because Trizec Properties owned both office properties, the consulate was easily able to move to its new location.Global Payments is headquartered in Three Alliance Center.

Phipps Tower is a 20-story office tower in Buckhead, Atlanta. It is adjacent to the Phipps Plaza shopping center. John Hancock Life Insurance Company owns, manages and leases the building. It is on a 2.96-acre (12,000 m2) plot of land.
