Built in 2000, the Hamburg Dungeon is a tourist attraction from a chain including the London Dungeon and Berlin Dungeon. It is the first of this brand to be built in mainland Europe. It provides a journey through Hamburg’s dark history in an actor led, interactive experience.

The Afghan Museum (German: Afghanisches Museum) was private museum of culture and cultural history of Afghanistan, situated in the historic and picturesque Speicherstadt (warehouse district) of Hamburg, Germany. The museum's mandate was to bring the authentic and traditional aspects of Afghan culture to life.

Nikolaifleet is a canal in the Altstadt of Hamburg, which was the original branch of the Alster estuary. It separates the Cremon island from the mainland. First mentioned in 1188, the Nikolaifleet is considered one of the oldest parts of the Port of Hamburg. As nearby Deichstraße, the Nikolaifleet is a popular visitor attraction.

Cremon was a marsh island in the Alster river at Hamburg, Germany. Today the site is marked by a street of the same name, in the Altstadt of Hamburg. The island was the first of the new town, and was outside the former city walls. The land was divided into long, narrow plots, on which typical Hamburg merchant houses were built. Each plot had access to the waterway later called Nikolaifleet. Behind the houses was a waterway called the Katharinenfleet, which was filled in during 1946. The waterway separating Cremon from the neighbouring island of Grimm, the Steckelhörnfleet, was also filled in after World War II. In 1246 Cremon was absorbed by the city of Hamburg, and together with Grimm formed the parish of the newly built St. Catherine's Church. The origin of the name is unclear, it may be traced back to a local farmer. The street name has existed since at least 1251 as Cremun; a 1289, document mentions platea Crymon. In 1937, having survived the Hamburg fire of 1842 and almost one hundred years of urban development, the designation "hanseatische Traditionsinsel" was obtained. First restoration work began in 1937, but the whole street fell victim to air raids on Hamburg in 1943. Still located between Fleet Street and Cremon 33-36 (formerly outer dike), is the last of the old historic warehouse of the 18th and early 19th century.

Deichstraße (lit. "dike street") is the oldest remaining street in the Altstadt of Hamburg, Germany and a popular visitor attraction in the city. Deichstraße dates back to the 14th century; it was first mentioned in 1304. Located adjacent to Nikolaifleet and close to the Speicherstadt, it now contains carefully restored 17th–19th-century houses, all that is left of the old harbour district. The Great Fire of 1842 broke out in Deichstraße 42 and destroyed many of the original buildings, but spared the southern end of the street spreading - driven by the wind - mostly northeastwards. Today, Deichstraße –along with Neustadt's Peterstraße– contains some of the oldest buildings in the city, including the oldest warehouse, at Peterstraße 27, built in 1780.

Katharinenstraße 9, also Catharinenstraße 9, was a town house in the centre of Hamburg, Germany, built c. 1630-1640. In 1939 the house was added to the list of monuments in central Hamburg. It was not removed until 1954, 13 years after its destruction in 1941. The building was known for its stucco ceiling, commissioned between 1716 and 1720 by the building's then owner (and later mayor of Hamburg) John Anderson the Elder. The stucco was most likely by the Italian Carlo Enrico Brenno, known to have worked in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. The hamburgmuseum (Hamburg History Museum) has a reconstruction of the ceiling, made from a cast of the original, which includes the original central painting, by Johann Moritz Riesenberger the Younger. The painting celebrates scholarship and art. The ceiling was restored in 2004–2005.

The Speicherstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈʃpaɪ̯çɐˌʃtat], literally: 'City of Warehouses', meaning warehouse district) in Hamburg, Germany is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927. The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009, both the district and the surrounding area are under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.

The Church of St. Nicholas (German: St.-Nikolai-Kirche) was a Gothic Revival cathedral that was formerly one of the five Lutheran Hauptkirchen (main churches) in the city of Hamburg, Germany. The original chapel, a wooden building, was completed in 1195. It was replaced by a brick church in the 14th century, which was eventually destroyed by fire in 1842. The church was completely rebuilt by 1874, and was the tallest building in the world from 1874 to 1876. It was designed by the English architect George Gilbert Scott. The bombing of Hamburg in World War II destroyed the bulk of the church. The removal of the rubble left only its crypt, its site and tall-spired tower, largely hollow save for a large set of bells. These ruins continue to serve as a memorial and an important architectural landmark. When Hamburg residents mention the Nikolaikirche, it is generally to this church that they are referring, and not the new Hauptkirche dedicated to Saint Nicholas in the Harvestehude district. The remains of the old church are the second-tallest structure in Hamburg. In 2005, an elevator was installed to a 75.3-metre-high (247 ft) platform.

The New Castle (Hamburg) or Neue Burg was a medieval saxonian castle in the town of Hamburg and is the successor to the Hammaburg. In the 11th century it was the biggest castle in northern Germany and the last one built in the traditional saxonian style, only consisting of wood and earth.

The Hanseatic Trade Center (HTC) is a major office complex in the HafenCity of Hamburg, Germany. Developed after an urban design competition in the 1980s, and built in five phases during the 1990s, it was the first new construction in the urban renewal of this part of the Port of Hamburg. Parts of the Hanseatic Trade Center along Kehrwiederfleet complement the historic Speicherstadt, while its western end at Kehrwiederspitze features two high-rise structures.

Rödingsmarkt is an elevated metro station on the Hamburg U-Bahn line U3. It was opened in 1912 and is located in the borough of Hamburg-Mitte in Hamburg, Germany.
