The Boiling Springs Tavern was a restaurant located in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. The Boiling Springs Tavern was built in 1832 by Philip Brechbill in the Federal style with native limestone and originally was used as a hotel. Anheuser-Busch was its first owner.Today the Boiling Springs Tavern is closed and has been since the COVID-19 pandemic. It was previously a restaurant and bar.

The district includes 127 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure associated with its role as an early iron manufacturing center and surrounding residential areas of Boiling Springs. Most of the contributing buildings date to the mid-19th century starting in 1845, with a few dated to the early period of development. The oldest buildings are a grist mill (c. 1750), the ironmaster's, Michael Ege, mansion (1795), and the restored Boiling Springs Tavern (1832). Other notable non-residential buildings include the former stone stables (1829) and forge building (1850s). Residential areas include notable examples of the Bungalow/craftsman, Late Victorian, and Federal styles. The contributing structure is a stone three-arched bridge (1854).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The radio studios and offices are on North Hanover Street in Carlisle. By day, WHYL is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. But to protect other stations on 960 AM from interference at night, it drops its power to only 22 watts. The transmitter is on East Baltimore Street in Carlisle, near Interstate 81. The Battle of Carlisle was an American Civil War skirmish fought in Pennsylvania on the same day as the Battle of Gettysburg, First Day. Stuart's Confederate cavalry briefly engaged Union militia under Maj. Gen. William F. "Baldy" Smith at Carlisle and set fire to the Carlisle Barracks. Stuart's cavalry withdrew and arrived at the Battle of Gettysburg, Second Day, to the annoyance and concern of Gen. Robert E. Lee.
