The Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic (Slovak: Ministerstvo vnútra Slovenskej republiky) is a government ministry of Slovakia. Since 25 October 2023, the current minister is Matúš Šutaj Eštok. From 15 May 2023 until 25 October 2023 the Minister of the Interior has been Ivan Šimko. Roman Mikulec was minister from March 2020 to May 2023, and in the previous 2018–2020 government the department was headed by Denisa Saková.

Starý most (English: Old Bridge) is a bridge over the river Danube in Bratislava, Slovakia. Before its reconstruction, the 460-meter-long (1,510 ft) bridge included a wooden pathway for pedestrians, a two-lane road, and a railway track, connecting the historic old city of Bratislava with the newer region Petržalka. The bridge was closed for cars in 2009 and for buses on 14 May 2010. On 2 December 2013 it was also closed for pedestrian and bicycle traffic as deconstruction of the old bridge began. At the time of its closure it was the oldest standing bridge in Bratislava. As of December 2015, the bridge was replaced by a new one for pedestrians, cyclists and trams, as part of new tram track to Petržalka. At various times in the past, the bridge was called Most Červenej armády (i.e. Red Army Bridge), Štefánikov most, Ferenc József híd and Franz Josef Brücke.

The Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts (BISLA), located in the Old Town of Bratislava, Slovakia, is the first liberal arts college in Central Europe. A private, accredited three-year degree-granting undergraduate institution, it opened in September 2006.

The Church of St. Elizabeth (Slovak: Kostol svätej Alžbety, Hungarian: Szent Erzsébet templom), commonly known as Blue Church (Modrý kostolík, Kék templom), is a Hungarian-Secessionist (Jugendstil, Art Nouveau) Catholic church located in the eastern part of the Old Town in Bratislava, present-day Slovakia. It is consecrated to Elisabeth of Hungary, daughter of Andrew II, who grew up in the Pressburg Castle (Pozsonyi vár). It is referred to as "The Little Blue Church" because of the colour of its façade, mosaics, majolicas and blue-glazed roof. It was initially part of the neighboring gymnázium (high school) and served as the school chapel.

Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovak: Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave) is the largest university in Slovakia, with most of its faculties located in Bratislava. It was founded in 1919, shortly after the creation of Czechoslovakia. It is named after Jan Amos Comenius, a 17th-century Czech teacher and philosopher. In 2020, Comenius University had more about 23,000 students and 2,500 faculty members. As are most universities in Slovakia, it is funded mostly by the government.

Jurkovič Heating Plant (Jurkovičova Tepláreň, originally known as Bratislava heating plant) is a reconstruction of an old functionalist building of Bratislava heating plant in the Old Town, which was designed by Dušan Jurkovič, as a part of the former industrial area of the city. Today, it houses BASE co-working center, a café, a restaurant and a gallery.

Gamča (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈɡamtʂa]), today officially Gymnázium, Grösslingová 18, Bratislava, is a public coeducational gymnasium located in Bratislava, Slovakia. It educates around 600 pupils in 8-year long and 4-year long programs leading to Maturita. It was founded in 1626 by Peter Cardinal Pazmáň (Péter Pázmany) as Collegium Posoniense. Gamča's focus on mathematics, natural sciences and computer sciences brought 56 of its students to successfully represent Slovakia (Czechoslovakia) at the International Mathematical Olympiad, 26 students at the International Physics Olympiad and 14 at the International Olympiad in Informatics in the past 35 years. Since 1988, the school's popular "Olympic games", OH Gamča, are held annually.

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (Slovak: Chrám Povýšenia vznešeného a životodarného kríža) is a cathedral in Bratislava, Slovakia. It was built in the year 1860 at the edge of St. Andrew's cemetery (Ondrejský cintorín). Since 1972, the church belongs to Greek Catholic Church. It is the cathedral church of the Eparchy of Bratislava since 2008.

Apollo Bridge (Slovak: Most Apollo, provisionally known as Most Košická during construction, after the street leading to it) in Bratislava is a road bridge over the Danube in the capital of Slovakia. It is located between the Starý most and Prístavný most Bridges, a site which allowed almost perpendicular bridging, resulting in the shortest possible span.Construction of the bridge began in 2003. The bridge was opened to the public on September 5, 2005. It is named for the "Apollo" (modern successor: Slovnaft) oil refinery which was situated on the left river bank in this area before World War II. Its curved lines, inclined arches and virtual absence of right angles make the geometric shape of the bridge very sophisticated. In an unprecedented maneuver, the 5,240-ton steel structure, spanning 231 metres, was rotated across the river from its construction site on the left bank into its final position on a pillar 40 metres from the right bank. The Apollo Bridge was the only European project named one of five finalists for the 2006 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award (OPAL Award) by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

The Slovak National Museum (Slovak: Slovenské národné múzeum) is the most important institution focusing on scientific research and cultural education in the field of museology in Slovakia. Its beginnings "are connected with the endeavour of the Slovak nation for national emancipation and self-determination".It is headquartered in Bratislava, however, the Slovak National Museum governs 18 specialized museums, most of which are located outside the city.

Arena Theatre (Slovak: Divadlo Aréna) is one of the oldest theatres in Bratislava. It was established in 1828 on the right bank of Danube. In the beginning it served as an open summer amphitheatre, hence the name Arena. The current building was built in 1898. From its establishment till the end of the Second World War, many Hungarian, Austrian and German theatre companies performed there. After the war, the theatre was gradually closed and served as a storehouse for state-owned Slovak Television. The theatre was revived by a group of people around mime artist Milan Sládek, opening performance took place in 1997. The repertoire consisted of several pantomimic performances, an annual pantomimic festival took place there. In 2003, renowned Slovak actor Juraj Kukura became managing director and focus of the theatre shifted to drama. Performance The Goat or Who is Sylvia? was nominated for DOSKY Award 2004 in categories best performance and best director, Juraj Kukura and Emília Vášáryová won the categories for best actor/actress. A year later, monodrama Tiso was voted the best performance. Marián Labuda, who was performing Jozef Tiso, won the prize for best actor.

City Business Center is a complex of five buildings in the Bratislava city district Staré mesto (Old town), first two finished in 2006 and 2007. The complex is bordered by the Karadžičova street and Dostrojevského rad street, in the area known as Central Business District where more office and business complex projects are now being developed. Originally the complex was to include four administrative (office) buildings and one residential building. The purpose of the last building, CBC V, was changed from residential to office after restarting the construction of second phase. Complex construction consists of two phases. First includes the CBC I, a 107-meter, 25-floor office tower (completed in April 2007) and CBC II, an 8-floor low rise building (completed in November 2006). Construction of the second phase was started in 2008, but after the excavation work was done the construction was put on hold until 2009, when work on the remaining three buildings resumed. CBC III, IV and V offer additional 23,200 m2 (249,700 sq ft) of leasable area for office and retail. In March 2014 HB Reavis Group sold three of the five buildings (CBC III, IV and V) to the company Tatra Asset Management, Tatra Banka subsidiary.
