Llanwinio

Blaenwaun is a small village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, 11 km (7 mi) north of Whitland. It is one of the five villages of Llanwinio parish, in the diocese of St. David's. It lies 220 m (720 ft) above sea level, making it one of the highest villages in the West Wales peninsula. The village features a pub named Tafarn Yr Oen (The Lamb Inn). There is a phone box and a children's play area owned by Llanwino Community Council. Moreia Welsh Independent Chapel was built in 1828 and remodelled in 1885. It was previously home to the smallest post office in Wales, a 5 by 2.9 m (16 by 10 ft) brick structure built in 1936 which was moved to St Fagans National Museum of History, near Cardiff, in 1992. As of 2022, a mobile post office visits the village twice a week.Dyffryn Brodyn, a 5.5 MW 11-turbine wind farm built in 1994, is adjacent to the village.

Cwmfelin Mynach is a village in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It has a population of only 64 residents. Cwmfelin Mynach means Valley (cwm) of the Monks' (Mynach) Mill (Felin). It was founded in the 6th century by the Cistercian monks, or Whitefriars, who had a monastery in nearby Whitland. The river Gronw which starts at Blaenwaun (one of the highest inhabited villages in the West Wales peninsula) runs through Cwmfelin Mynach. In the medieval period the river was used to drive a corn mill. The river was also used for Baptisms.

Tegryn is a hilltop linear village in north Pembrokeshire, Wales, in the community and parish of Clydau and is the largest settlement in the community. It is at the eastern end of the Preseli Mountains, 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Llanfyrnach, with much of the village around 250 metres (820 ft) above sea level.

Meidrim is a village and community some 8 miles (13 km) west of Carmarthen and 3.3 miles (5.3 km) north of St Clears in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Meidrim (formerly also spelled 'Mydrim') and its twin village of Drefach are situated either side of the Afon Dewi Fawr at the point where this small river is crossed by the B4298 road and meets with the B4299 road.Meidrim has a parish church, a Nonconformist chapel, a pub, a primary school, a village green or common and a park. It also boasts a number of self-catering cottages in the surrounding area making it popular for tourists visiting Pembrokeshire National Park and the Brecon Beacons as well as a number of local walks. The name was first attested in 1612 as 'Midrim' (modern Welsh 'Meidrim') in a volume entitled 'Llyfr Plygain 1612'. As explained by the Welsh scholar Ifor Williams in his treatise on Welsh place-names (Enwau Lleoedd, 1945), it is a compound name derived from 'mei' (half, middle, cf. Latin 'medius') and the mutated form of the noun 'trum' (slope, ridge, peak, range of hills etc., Old Irish 'druimm'; cf. the Cornish place-name 'Pendrim'). The community is bordered by the communities of: Trelech; Abernant; Newchurch and Merthyr; St Clears; Llangynin; and Llanwinio, all being in Carmarthenshire.

Glogue () is a hamlet and post town, 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Llanfyrnach, in the community of Crymych in the east of the county of Pembrokeshire, Wales. It was the site of slate quarrying from the 18th century; the industry employed over 80 men when the railway came to the area in the 19th century and improved distribution. Quarrying ended in 1926 and the railway closed in 1962. Glogue Farm is just north of the settlement, in Clydau community.

Glogue Halt railway station served the hamlet of Glogue, Pembrokeshire, Wales, from 1875 to 1962 on the Whitland and Cardigan Railway.
