Europa – Fira station

Plaça d'Europa (official name in Catalan, in Spanish: Plaza de Europa) is a square in the District VII (Granvia l'Hospitalet) of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat suburb of Barcelona, Catalonia in Spain. Located on the Granvia de l'Hospitalet avenue at the intersection with Carrer d'Amadeu Torner. It is part of L'Hospitalet's recent urban development, and one of its biggest squares at 33 ha, with a distinguishable skyline made up of high-rises, among the tallest structures in the city, some of which are designed by the renowned architect Toyo Ito. It is expected to become its economic centre, and will allow different parts of the city formerly severed by the Granvia to become interconnected. It is still not completed but already featuring most of its planned buildings and infrastructure. Part of Fira de Barcelona, near it stand the pavilions of rest of Fira de Barcelona and the shopping centre Gran Via 2.

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel, previously Hotel Catalonia Plaza Europa, is a skyscraper and hotel in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (suburb of Barcelona), Catalonia, Spain. Completed in 2011, has 26 floors and rises 105 metres. Lies on the Plaça d'Europa 50. It is part of the Renaissance Hotels group.

Hotel Porta Fira (also Torres de Toyo Ito with Torre Realia BCN) is a 28-storey, 113 m (371 ft) skyscraper hotel designed by Toyo Ito on the Plaza de Europa in the district of Granvia l'Hospitalet in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a suburb of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The building was the 2010 first-place winner of the Emporis Skyscraper Award.

Torre Realia BCN (also Torres de Toyo Ito with Hotel Porta Fira) is a skyscraper on the Plaza de Europa in the district of Granvia l'Hospitalet in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a city of Barcelones, Catalonia, Spain. Completed in 2009, it has 24 floors and rises 112 meters.

Torre Inbisa is a skyscraper in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (suburb of Barcelona), Catalonia, Spain. It is named after its owner, Inbisa, a real state and construction company. Completed in 2010, has 25 floors and rises 104 m (341 ft). It is on the Plaça d'Europa 9. It was designed by Nicanor García Architecture.

Provençana is a Barcelona Metro station opened on 2 March 2019, operated by TMB. The metro station is located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The station serves line L10 Sud and is located between Can Tries | Gornal and Foneria stations in the southern part of the metropolitan area. The station is located underneath Carrer de l'Aprestadora.

Granvia l'Hospitalet or Granvia l'H is a district ("Districte VII") in the municipality of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a south-western suburb of the Barcelona metropolitan area. Part of Granvia L'H is part of Gran Via business center of Barcelona and directly Fira de Barcelona, second largest trade fair and exhibition centres in Europe.

On 24 September 1893, the anarchist Paulí Pallàs attempted to assassinate Captain General of Catalonia Arsenio Martínez Campos during a military parade in Barcelona. The attackers' two bombs missed their target and only slightly injured the general but seriously injured over a dozen others, with two deaths. The attacker, who did not attempt to flee, was arrested, sentenced to death and executed two weeks later. In his trial, he said he sought to avenge the executions of the anarchists killed following the prior year's Jerez uprising. The attack on Martínez Campos precipitated a series of reprisals that culminated in the assassination of Spanish Prime Minister Cánovas del Castillo in 1897.

Ildefons Cerdà is a railway station on the Llobregat–Anoia Line. It is not properly located in Plaça d'Ildefons Cerdà (a square in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona), but in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, in Catalonia, Spain. The station is situated underneath Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and was opened in 1987. It is served by Barcelona Metro line 8, Baix Llobregat Metro lines S33, S4 and S8, and commuter rail lines R5, R6, R50 and R60. The station has also become part of the Barcelona Metro line 10. The new station was officially opened on 23 November 2019 with the name Ciutat de la Justícia, since it is directly serving the Ciutat de la Justícia de Barcelona i l'Hospitalet de Llobregat buildings. The new station is located at a distance of 180 m from the existing Ildefons Cerdà station, without a direct connection (passengers have to exit to the road and walk on the street to move between the stations). However, it is considered in the official maps as an interchange node.

Gornal is a railway station on the Llobregat–Anoia Line. It is located in the neighborhood of the same name, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It was opened in 1987, when the line's section between Ildefons Cerdà and Sant Josep stations was put underground. It is served by Barcelona Metro line 8, Baix Llobregat Metro lines S33, S4 and S8, and commuter rail lines R5, R6, R50 and R60. Bellvitge railway station, served by Rodalies de Catalunya commuter and regional rail services, is located adjacent to Gornal station, on the west side of it, allowing for street-level transfers between the two stations.

Can Tries | Gornal is a Barcelona Metro station, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area, and named after the nearby Gornal neighbourhood. The station is served by line L9 and line L10.The station is located underneath the intersection of Carrer Can Tries and the carrer de Narcís de Monturiol. There is one entrance, from Carrer Can Tries, which serves a below ground ticket hall. The two 108-metre (354 ft) long side platforms are at a lower level.The station was opened in 2016, at the time of the extension of line L9 from Zona Universitaria station to Airport T1 station. Line 10 has served the station since 8 September 2018 with the opening of the section to Foc station.

Fira, originally known as Fira 2 – Pedrosa, is a Barcelona Metro station serving Fira de Barcelona's Fira Gran Via major trade fair venue and the Pedrosa industrial park, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona. It is situated underneath Avinguda Joan Carles I, at the intersection with Pedrosa and Botànica streets. It has a direct access to Fira Gran Via's main entrance. The station was designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The station opened for passenger service on 12 February 2016, when the 20-kilometre-long (12 mi), 15-station portion belonging to Barcelona Metro line 9 between Barcelona–El Prat Airport and Zona Universitària station in western Barcelona started operating. Designated L9 Sud ("L9 South"), the new Barcelona Metro line 9 section offers a regular service frequency of 7 minutes in each direction, though additional partial services may be added if necessary.
