The Tokyo Korean Culture Center (駐日韓国大使館 韓国文化院, Korean: 주일본 대한민국 대사관 문화원) is a Korean Language and Cultural Exchange Center in Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. Supported by the Korean Ministry of Culture, this center offers Korean Language classes and promotes Korean culture in Japan through educational, sporting, entertainment, art, and trade events and through the promotion of tourism. The Tokyo Korea Center is one of twelve Korean Cultural Centers in nine different countries.

Yotsuya-sanchōme Station (四谷三丁目駅, Yotsuya-sanchōme-eki) is a railway station in Shinjuku, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. Its station number is M-11 and was opened on March 15, 1959.

The Shinjuku Gyo-en Greenhouse is a greenhouse in Shinjuku Gyo-en, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It was built in 1950 and displays more than 1,700 tropical and subtropical plant species, as of 2016.

Shinanomachi Station (信濃町駅, Shinanomachi-eki) is a railway station on the Chūō-Sōbu Line in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Tokyo Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan (東京厚生年金会館), also known as Wel City Tokyo, was a concert hall in Shinjuku, Tokyo, one of a number of public concert halls in Japan called Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan. John Coltrane's quintet performed here on their Japanese tour (1966). Dutch band Shocking Blue who were internationally famous after topping the US charts with their hit Venus, performed here in July, 1971. Parts of these concerts were used for their 'Live in Japan' - album of 1971. Journey also performed here on their Escape tour (1981). Opened on 15 April 1961, the hall closed on March 31, 2010.

The Closing Ceremony of the 1964 Summer Olympics took place on October 24, 1964, in the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. The athletes from each country entered informally, despite plans to have a formal entrance. There did not appear to be any backup plan to sort athletes into their respective countries, and as a result the athletes rushed the field, sometimes arm in arm or riding piggyback, in a disorganized and chaotic spectacle. Zambia had just declared independence from Northern Rhodesia on that day and proudly marched under a newly made placard, but other placards were nowhere to be seen. The Japanese television networks were praised for covering the event live without losing their professional demeanor.When order was restored, the officially regulated ceremony was held, overseen by IOC president Avery Brundage. The athletes stood in a circle holding lights, and the large display above the field changed to read "SAYONARA". The national anthems of Greece, Japan, and Mexico as the next Olympic host country were played. As the closing ceremony completed with fireworks, the audience sang Hotaru no Hikari (the tune of Auld Lang Syne). The Showa Emperor was in attendance.

Shinjuku Gyo-en (新宿御苑) is a large park and garden in Shinjuku and Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It was originally a residence of the Naitō family in the Edo period. Afterwards, it became a garden under the management of the Imperial Household Agency of Japan. It is now a national park under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Environment.

Kokuritsu-Kyōgijō Station (国立競技場駅, Kokuritsukyōgijō-eki, lit. National Stadium Station), also known as Tōkyō Taiikukan-mae, is a Tokyo subway station located in Sendagaya, Shibuya and Shinanomachi, Shinjuku. Situated on the Toei Ōedo Line, the station is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation.

Tokyo Medical University (東京医科大学, Tōkyō Ika Daigaku) is a Japanese private university located in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1916, it is one of the medical schools established in Japan before World War II. In accordance with the nation’s policy for medical education, this private university has a six-year medical school curriculum that offers 'preclinical' and 'clinical' studies to confer a bachelor's degree or graduate degree with which medical students are qualified for the national medical licensing exam. The university also has a postgraduate school (graduate school or daigakuin in Japanese) that offers Ph.D. degrees.

Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery (聖徳記念絵画館, Seitoku Kinen Kaigakan) is a gallery commemorating the "imperial virtues" of Japan's Meiji Emperor, installed on his funeral site in the Gaien or outer precinct of Meiji Shrine in Tōkyō. The gallery is one of the earliest museum buildings in Japan and itself an Important Cultural Property. On display in the gallery are eighty large paintings, forty in "Japanese style" (Nihonga) and forty in "Western style" (Yōga), that depict, in chronological order, scenes from the Emperor's life and times. The gallery opened to the public in 1926, with the final paintings completed and installed ten years later. The selection and investigation of suitable topics for the paintings was overseen by Kaneko Kentarō, who also served as head of the editorial boards of Dai-Nihon Ishin Shiryō and Meiji Tennōki, major contemporary historiographic undertakings respectively to document the Meiji Restoration (in 4,215 volumes) and the Meiji Emperor and his era (in 260 volumes); as such, the gallery and its paintings may be viewed as a highly-visible historiographic project in its own right.
