Tokyo Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan (東京厚生年金会館), also known as Wel City Tokyo, was a concert hall in Shinjuku, Tokyo, one of a number of public concert halls in Japan called Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan. John Coltrane's quintet performed here on their Japanese tour (1966). Dutch band Shocking Blue who were internationally famous after topping the US charts with their hit Venus, performed here in July, 1971. Parts of these concerts were used for their 'Live in Japan' - album of 1971. Journey also performed here on their Escape tour (1981). Opened on 15 April 1961, the hall closed on March 31, 2010.

In fact within the five blocks centering on street Naka-Dōri between the BYGS building at the Shinjuku San-chōme Station and the small Shinjuku park three blocks to the east, an estimated 300 gay bars and nightclubs provide entertainment.

The Shinjuku Gyo-en Greenhouse is a greenhouse in Shinjuku Gyo-en, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It was built in 1950 and displays more than 1,700 tropical and subtropical plant species, as of 2016.

The Hanazono Shrine (花園神社, Hanazono Jinja) is a Shinto shrine located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. This shrine was founded in the mid-17th century. Hanazono Jinja nestled in the heart of Tokyo's Shinjuku ward, Hanazono Jinja is a small and unobtrusive structure that, according to Fodor's, just happens to be one of the most historical shrines in Japan. Constructed in the Edo period by the Hanazono family, this Inari shrine—a shrine dedicated to Inari, the androgynous god of fertility and worldly success—is a favorite place for businessmen to pray for successful ventures.

Kabukichō (Japanese: 歌舞伎町, Kabuki-chō, pronounced [kabɯki̥ tɕoː]) is an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Kabuki-chō is the location of many host and hostess clubs, love hotels, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, and is often called the "Sleepless Town" (眠らない街, Nemuranai Machi, pronounced [nemɯɾanai matɕiꜜ]). Shinjuku Golden Gai, famous for its plethora of small bars, is part of Kabuki-cho. The district's name comes from late-1940s plans to build a kabuki theater; although the theater was never built, the name stuck. The area has many movie theaters, and is located near Shinjuku Station, Seibu Shinjuku Station, and several other major railway and subway stations.

Kashiwanoha (柏の葉) ("Oak Leaf") is an area of Kashiwa in the Chiba Prefecture of Japan, less than 25 minutes by Tsukuba Express, Tokyo's fastest private railway, from Akihabara (秋葉原), Tokyo. With the opening of University of Tokyo, Kashiwa Campus, the population of Kashiwanoha is growing, and the area is undergoing corresponding development, including the recent opening of a baseball stadium and football pitch in Kashiwanoha Park.

Shinjuku Golden Gai (Japanese: 新宿ゴールデン街, Hepburn: Shinjuku gōruden-gai) is a small area, which is located in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It is composed of a network of six narrow alleys, connected by even narrower passageways which are about wide enough for a single person to pass through. Over 200 tiny shanty-style bars, clubs and eateries are squeezed into this area. The alleys are private roads, not public roads. In this area, shooting photographs and video for all purposes on the street is prohibited without permission of the area's business promotion association.

The Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tokyo (Latin: Archidioecesis Tokiensis, Japanese: カトリック東京大司教区) is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Japan. It was erected as the Apostolic Vicariate of Japan on May 1, 1846, by Pope Gregory XVI, and its name was later changed by Pope Pius IX to the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Japan on May 22, 1876. It was elevated to the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tokyo by Pope Leo XIII on June 15, 1891, with the suffragan sees of Niigata, Saitama, Sapporo, Sendai, and Yokohama. Tarcisio Isao Kikuchi, S.V.D., previously serving as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Niigata, was appointed Archbishop of the Tokyo Archdiocese on October 25, 2017.
