The Fountain Valley School of Colorado is a private, co-educational independent college preparatory school for students in 9th through 12th grades. The station received approval from the Federal Communications Commission on November 1, 2013, to change its city of license from Westcliffe, Colorado to Rock Creek Park (southwest of Colorado Springs) and increase its power from 180 watts to 2,100 watts to serve the Colorado Springs area.Calvary Chapel Aurora agreed to purchase KXCL from United States CP, LLC for $400,000. The purchase was consummated on October 31, 2013. Calvary plans to use KXCL to bring its "Grace FM" programming from KXGR into the Colorado Springs market.

Widefield High School is a high school in Security-Widefield, Colorado, United States. It opened its doors in 1958 and is the older of the two high schools in Widefield School District 3. Widefield's mascot is the Gladiator and its colors are navy blue, Columbia blue, silver and white.

S.A. Wilson Elementary School in Security-Widefield, an unincorporated area south of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was built in 1959 and expanded in 1961. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.It was one of six elementary schools in Widefield School District built during 1954 to 1961, during which the district grew from 125 students to more than 3,500 students. The building later became the S.A. Wilson Center, hosting several school district resources.

Fountain is located 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Colorado Springs and just east of Fort Carson. Fountain and the Colorado Springs suburbs Security and Widefield make up the "Fountain Valley" community.
