't Koetshuis was a restaurant located in Rhenen, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars in the period 1957–1970. The restaurant was established in 1945 in the stable of the former hotel "Berg en Bos". The hotel had fallen victim to the Second World War. The Frisch family, of Swiss origin, just started all again and started a rotisserie. This restaurant went very well, until it burned down in 1964. Henri Frisch wanted to start over again, but he died a month after the fire. His children went on with the rebuilding and the restaurant reopened in 1965.Owners of the restaurant were Henri Frisch (1957–1964) and his daughter Marianne Frisch (1964–1970). Marianne Frisch sold the restaurant in 1988. Henri Frisch was also head chef. In 1967, J. van Heusden was head chef.'t Koetshuis was in 1967 one of the founding members of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise, an association of quality restaurants in the Netherlands and Belgium.

De Klomp is a village in the municipality of Ede, with a railway station called "Veenendaal-De Klomp railway station". It is located in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was first mentioned in 1787 as De Klomp, and is a name of an inn. A settlement has known to exist since 1565 and mainly concentrated along the road. After World War II, industry started to settle in the village.

Rhenen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈreːnə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality and a city in the central Netherlands. The municipality also includes the villages of Achterberg, Remmerden, Elst and Laareind. The town lies at a geographically interesting location, namely on the southernmost part of the chain of hills known as the Utrecht Hill Ridge (Utrechtse Heuvelrug), where this meets the river Rhine. Because of this Rhenen has a unique character with quite some elevation through town. Directly to the east of the built-up area lies the Grebbeberg, a hill with a top elevation of about 50 metres (160 ft).

Achterberg is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is part of the municipality of Rhenen and it lies about 5 km west of Wageningen. The village was first mentioned in 1417 as Achterbergh, and means "(settlement) behind the hill". Achterberg developed as an esdorp on the northern flank of a hill near castle Ter Horst. The castle was built in 1160 and demolished in 1528. In 1840, Achterberg was home to 1,043 people. In 1940, the village was the scene of heavy fighting during the Battle of the Grebbeberg. The grist mill Crescendo was built in 1886 and destroyed in 1945 during a battle.

Overberg is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It is located on both sides of the Utrecht-Rhenen railway line, but has no station. It is around 5 km west of the centre of Veenendaal, and 25 km east of the city of Utrecht. The village was first mentioned in 1846 as Overberg, and means "the other side of the hill (Amerongse Berg)". In 1873, the Efratha Church and school were built.

Elst is a village in the central Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Rhenen, Utrecht, about 5 km southwest of Veenendaal. Until 1 January 2006, the western tip of the village was in the municipality of Amerongen.The village was first mentioned in 1448 as "op Elscher maelstat", and means "place where alder trees grow". Elst developed into a settlement on the southern flank of a hill and became a linear settlement along the Utrecht-Arnhem road. In 1819, a little church was built. The economy during the 19th century was mainly based on the growth of tobacco plants. In 1840, Elst was home to 631 people.The grist mill 't Wissel was built in 1855. The wind mill was in operation until 1930. Between 1980 and 1981, it was restored and functioned for several bakeries, but ran into technical difficulties. In 2005, it was repaired and occasionally produces fodder.

Ederveen is a village in the municipality of Ede in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands.

The Cunerakerk is the main church of Rhenen, Netherlands. During the Middle Ages it was an important pilgrimage site. The church has stored the relics of the Saint Cunera since the 8th century. The tower has a height of 81.8 metres (268 ft).
