Veenendaal-De Klomp railway station

De Klomp is a village in the municipality of Ede, with a railway station called "Veenendaal-De Klomp railway station". It is located in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was first mentioned in 1787 as De Klomp, and is a name of an inn. A settlement has known to exist since 1565 and mainly concentrated along the road. After World War II, industry started to settle in the village.

It is well known for three conference centres in the vicinity, including Het Bosgoed, which mostly hosts academic conferences and De Werelt Congress Hotel. It is also famous because the Geographical Center of the Netherlands is located northeast of the village, and because the National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands ("NSB") held their annual Hagespraken (propagandistic open-air meetings) there between 1936 and 1940. 't Koetshuis was a restaurant located in Rhenen, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars in the period 1957–1970. The restaurant was established in 1945 in the stable of the former hotel "Berg en Bos". The hotel had fallen victim to the Second World War. The Frisch family, of Swiss origin, just started all again and started a rotisserie. This restaurant went very well, until it burned down in 1964. Henri Frisch wanted to start over again, but he died a month after the fire. His children went on with the rebuilding and the restaurant reopened in 1965.Owners of the restaurant were Henri Frisch (1957–1964) and his daughter Marianne Frisch (1964–1970). Marianne Frisch sold the restaurant in 1988. Henri Frisch was also head chef. In 1967, J. van Heusden was head chef.'t Koetshuis was in 1967 one of the founding members of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise, an association of quality restaurants in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Achterberg is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is part of the municipality of Rhenen and it lies about 5 km west of Wageningen. The village was first mentioned in 1417 as Achterbergh, and means "(settlement) behind the hill". Achterberg developed as an esdorp on the northern flank of a hill near castle Ter Horst. The castle was built in 1160 and demolished in 1528. In 1840, Achterberg was home to 1,043 people. In 1940, the village was the scene of heavy fighting during the Battle of the Grebbeberg. The grist mill Crescendo was built in 1886 and destroyed in 1945 during a battle.

The Doesburgermolen is a post mill in the hamlet of Doesburgerbuurt in the community of Ede, Netherlands It is considered to be the oldest post mill in the Netherlands; in its present form it was probably built around 1630. It underwent a major restoration around 1970. The mill is operated by volunteers and is still used for grinding grain.
