Veenendaal-De Klomp is a railway station located in De Klomp near Veenendaal, Netherlands. The station opened in 1845 and is on the Amsterdam–Arnhem railway. It lies within the borders of the municipality of Ede.

't Koetshuis was a restaurant located in Rhenen, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars in the period 1957–1970. The restaurant was established in 1945 in the stable of the former hotel "Berg en Bos". The hotel had fallen victim to the Second World War. The Frisch family, of Swiss origin, just started all again and started a rotisserie. This restaurant went very well, until it burned down in 1964. Henri Frisch wanted to start over again, but he died a month after the fire. His children went on with the rebuilding and the restaurant reopened in 1965.Owners of the restaurant were Henri Frisch (1957–1964) and his daughter Marianne Frisch (1964–1970). Marianne Frisch sold the restaurant in 1988. Henri Frisch was also head chef. In 1967, J. van Heusden was head chef.'t Koetshuis was in 1967 one of the founding members of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise, an association of quality restaurants in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Lunteren is a town in Gelderland, the Netherlands. It has a railway station on the line between Amersfoort and Ede. It is well known for three conference centres in the vicinity, including Het Bosgoed, which mostly hosts academic conferences and De Werelt Congress Hotel. It is also famous because the Geographical Center of the Netherlands is located northeast of the village, and because the National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands ("NSB") held their annual Hagespraken (propagandistic open-air meetings) there between 1936 and 1940. In 1938, the NSB built what is known as the Muur van Mussert ("wall of Mussert") there, which was planned as the first step in a large conglomeration of buildings and monuments for the party.Lunteren was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Ede.

Achterberg is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is part of the municipality of Rhenen and it lies about 5 km west of Wageningen. The village was first mentioned in 1417 as Achterbergh, and means "(settlement) behind the hill". Achterberg developed as an esdorp on the northern flank of a hill near castle Ter Horst. The castle was built in 1160 and demolished in 1528. In 1840, Achterberg was home to 1,043 people. In 1940, the village was the scene of heavy fighting during the Battle of the Grebbeberg. The grist mill Crescendo was built in 1886 and destroyed in 1945 during a battle.

Overberg is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It is located on both sides of the Utrecht-Rhenen railway line, but has no station. It is around 5 km west of the centre of Veenendaal, and 25 km east of the city of Utrecht. The village was first mentioned in 1846 as Overberg, and means "the other side of the hill (Amerongse Berg)". In 1873, the Efratha Church and school were built.
