Restaurant Auguste is a restaurant in Maarssen, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 2006 and retained that rating until 2008.In 2013, GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 14 out of 20 points.Head chef of Auguste is Giulio Iadarola. Head chef in the period of the Michelin star was Karl van Baggem, later owner and head chef of De Hoefslag.Auguste was a member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in the period 2007–2008.

Maarssen is a railway station in Maarssenbroek and on the opposite side of the Amsterdam Rijnkanaal to Maarssen, Netherlands. The station opened on 18 December 1843 and is located on the Amsterdam–Arnhem railway. The services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. In 1953 the station was served by two trains to and from Amsterdam per day. The service improved in the 1970s following the building of Maarssenbroek, and in 1974 the station had an hourly service. In 1975 the station had a half-hourly service. A (fourth) new station building was built in 2004. In a 2005 survey approximately 5,523 passengers use this station per day.

Maarssenbroek is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is nowadays part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It lies on the west side of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. Between 1815 and 1857, Maarssenbroek was a separate municipality. Maarssenbroek is divided into thirteen residential areas with names picked from plant types and animal species as listed below. The various areas are ordered alphabetically on both sides of the main roads which are aptly named Floraweg (`Flora road`), Vogelweg (`Bird road`) and Safariweg (`Safari road`). starting from the south of the town. The entrances to the residential areas are marked on the main access roads by blue signs on which a silhouette of the animal responsible for the area's name has been stenciled in white. The streets in the residential areas of Maarssenbroek don't have names themselves; the addresses are composed by appending the house number to the area name. Within the residential areas the location of the addresses are indicated with green signs in white lettering pointing out the street where a specific house number can be found (e.g. a sign "501-599" pointing to the right).

Stichtse Vecht is a municipality of the Netherlands and lies in the northwestern part of the province of Utrecht. The municipality has about 63,000 inhabitants and covers an area of about 107 km² (41 sq mi). Stichtse Vecht has been newly formed by a merger of the municipalities of Breukelen (in the west), Maarssen (in the east) and Loenen (in the north) on 1 January 2011.

Restaurant Wilgenplas is a defunct restaurant in Maarssen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in both 1972 and 1973. It was again awarded a Michelin star in 1988 and retained that rating until 2000.During the second star-period, head chef was Henny van der VeerRestaurant De Wilgenplas closed down in 2000, due to bankruptcy.At present, restaurant De Heeren van Maarssen is located here.

Zuilen is a district in the Northwest section of the Dutch city of Utrecht. Zuilen is bordered by the train line and the river Vecht, the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, the street Marnixlaan, and the city borders at the north. The neighborhood Elinkwijk, located in Zuilen, contains the protected city view Beschermd Stadsgezicht Zuilen-Elinkwijk. Buildings within this area are not automatically protected monuments, but the city government will monitor and adjust zoning and planning in the area to protect the look of the area.

Oud-Zuilen is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht, and lies about 4 km northwest of Utrecht. It is in an area called the "Vechtstreek". Zuylen Castle is located in the village.

FC Utrecht Vrouwen was the women's football section of Dutch club FC Utrecht based in Utrecht. Established in 2007, as one of the founding members of the professional Dutch women's football league the team competed in the league from its inaugural season (2007–08) until 2011–12 and the BeNe League (Belgian and Dutch combined league) from 2012–13 until the team's dissolution in January 2014. The club won the Dutch Cup once and the Dutch Super Cup once.Late July 2021 it was reported that FC Utrecht was looking into provisionally restarting a women's team in the Eredivisie Vrouwen in season 2023-24

Maarsseveen is a former hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was located on the east bank of the Vecht River, opposite the village of Maarssen, and has now been completely absorbed by that town. It makes part of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. From 1815 to 1949, Maarsseveen was a separate municipality. Apart from the village itself, the municipality covered the polder Maarsseveen, and the village of Oud-Maarsseveen.

Utrecht Terwijde is a railway station on the Utrecht–Rotterdam railway. It is located between Vleuten and Utrecht Leidsche Rijn stations. The Terwijde neighbourhood is part of the Leidsche Rijn area under construction, west of Utrecht. Because of the large number of Commuters in this area, a temporary railway station was built in 2003. And in 2005 construction started next to this station for the actual station, which opened on 5 November 2007. Utrecht Terwijde railway station is part of a large project of expanding the two track line to four tracks on this stretch of the railway, which was completed in 2011.

Themaat is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Utrecht, and lies about 7 km west of Utrecht.The hamlet has about 100 inhabitants.

Vleuten is a former village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a neighbourhood of the city of Utrecht, and lies about 6 km west of it. Vleuten has a railway station on the line between Utrecht and Woerden. In 2001, Vleuten had 7434 inhabitants. The built-up area was 1.4 km2, and contained 2979 residences. The statistical area "Vleuten" has a population of around 7090.
