Goidschalxoord

Reedijk is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland and is part of the municipality Hoeksche Waard. Reedijk lies 1.5 km east of Oud-Beijerland. Reedijk is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Heinenoord and Mijnsheerenland. It has place name signs, and consists of about 40 houses.

Heinenoord is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland on the island Hoekse Waard. It is located about 10 km south of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard.Heinenoord was a separate municipality until 1984, when it became part of Binnenmaas. Since 1 January 2019, it is part of the new municipality Hoeksche Waard. After 1855, the municipality also covered the village of Goidschalxoord.The Heinenoordtunnel is a road tunnel located near Heinenoord and is named after it. There is also a bus station near Heinenoord called the Busstation Heinenoord which serves as a public transport hub in the Hoekse Waard.

Koedood is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located on the border of the municipalities of Albrandswaard and Barendrecht. Koedood was the name of a small stream, flowing from the Oude Maas northwest to the Nieuwe Maas, opposite of Schiedam. It separated the island of IJsselmonde from Poortugaal and Rhoon. It was dammed and used for draining the surrounding polders. The hamlet was built near the southern end of the river, and consisted of six houses with 42 inhabitants around the middle of the 19th century.The hamlet was formerly divided into two parts: "Oude Koedood" in the west and "Nieuwe Koedood" in the east.The name Koe-dood means Cow death.

Mijnsheerenland is a village and a former municipality on the Hoeksche Waard island in the Dutch province of South Holland with 4,435 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006). It is located on the shores of the Binnenbedijkte Maas (Lake Binnenmaas), about 14 km south of the city of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. It was the only village in the former municipality Binnenmaas not built next to a dyke. The main street of Mijnsheerenland is the Raadhuislaan. This street used to be dominated by farmhouses, but in recent years many of them were demolished and replaced by modern homes as Mijnsheerenland became preferred by upmarket house buyers.

Rhoonse Veer is a former hamlet, located south of the Dutch town of Rhoon. The name means "Rhoon's ferry", and refers to the ferry between Rhoon and Oud-Beijerland. The hamlet grew around the Catholic Church of Rhoon. After the Reformation, the Catholics in the area lost their church in Rhoon to the Protestant majority, but the lord of Rhoon, Willem Bentinck, allowed them to build a new church near the ferry in 1684.The hamlet no longer exists; it is now a part of the town of Rhoon itself. There is still a ferry called "Rhoonsveer"; it departs from the marina 500 m south of the former hamlet of Rhoonse Veer, with service to Spijkenisse and Oud-Beijerland.[1]

Westmaas (Dutch pronunciation: [ʋɛstˈmaːs]) is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 14 km south of the city of Rotterdam, next to Mijnsheerenland in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. In 2020, the population was 2065.Westmaas developed after the Munnikenland was enclosed by a dike in 1439. The village was founded by Carthusian monks. It became an independent parish in 1458. The Dutch Reformed church is an aisleless church built in 1651. It was restored between 1966 and 1967.Westmaas was home to 768 people in 1840. Westmaas was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1984, when it became part of Binnenmaas. Since 1 January 2019, it is part of the new municipality Hoeksche Waard.

Greup is a hamlet on a dike in the Dutch province of South Holland. The village lies in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard.Greup is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Mijnsheerenland. It had place name signs, but they disappeared in 2019. In 1922, a church was built.

Rhoon is a village that borders the municipality of the city of Rotterdam, South Holland, the Netherlands. According to its history it was established in 1199 and was ruled by the lords of Duiveland. In the 14th century the village was struck by many floods. In the last big flood, the North Sea flood of 1953, the Dutch government implemented the "deltawerken" (Delta Works). This is a large protection barrier of dikes and dams to keep the water of the North Sea out during high tides. In 1969 Rhoon also became part of this plan and a large dike was established around the island of IJsselmonde. Rhoon is part of the island of IJsselmonde and situated in the south of this island. On the lands outside the dikes is a small yacht marina on the banks of the river Oude Maas, and also a "griend" which is a tidal forest. The river Oude Maas has a tidal difference of around 1.2 meter in a twice daily cycle. Since 1 January 1985, the village has been part of the municipality of Albrandswaard together with Poortugaal.The village has a connection to the city of Rotterdam by Rotterdam Metro line D, through Rhoon station. In Rhoon is the Dutch Consulate General of Ireland.

Pendrecht is a neighborhood in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In 2009 Eberhard van der Laan, the Minister of Housing, referred to the neighborhood as the second worst in his "40 problem neighbourhoods" list.

The KPN-Zendmast Waalhaven, also known as Communication Tower, is a 191.5 metres (628 ft) self-supporting telecommunications tower located in Rotterdam in the Netherlands that was built in 1962. It is the tallest structure in Rotterdam and one of the tallest structures in the Netherlands. The tower is made of reinforced concrete with a metal transmitter at the top and at least one observation deck about halfway up.

Slinge is an above-ground subway station in the south of the city of Rotterdam. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. Slinge is the southern terminus of line E, while line D trains continue towards De Akkers station. The station opened on 25 November 1970 as part of a one-station extension of the North-South Line (also formerly called Erasmus line). It has two platforms and three running tracks; the inner track is only used by trains terminating at Slinge, while the other trains use the outer two tracks.

Rhoon is an above-ground subway station of Rotterdam Metro line D. The station is located just north of the centre of Rhoon, a village in the municipality Albrandswaard to the southwest of Rotterdam. The station was opened on October 25, 1974. On that date, the North-South Line was extended from its former terminus, Slinge, towards Zalmplaat station. As a less busy station it is only equipped with one escalator located at the platform with the most upward motions, which as this is an station which is accessed via overpass, is the platform towards De Akkers on the North side. This side also has a secondary exit roughly at ground level. Right outside the station, passengers can get on RET-operated bus line 62.
