Nunhead Cemetery

Nunhead is a suburb in the London Borough of Southwark in London, England. It is an inner-city suburb located 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of Charing Cross. It is the location of the 52-acre (0.21 km2) Nunhead Cemetery. Nunhead has traditionally been a working-class area and, with the adjacent neighbourhoods, is currently going through a lengthy process of gentrification. Nunhead is the location of several underground reservoirs, built by the Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company.

Nunhead railway station is in the Nunhead area of the London Borough of Southwark. It is 5 miles 77 chains (9.6 km) measured from London Victoria. The station is managed by Thameslink. It is in Travelcard Zone 2.

The Ivy House is a Grade II listed public house at 40 Stuart Road, Nunhead, London.It was designed by the architect A. E. Sewell in the 1930s for Truman's Brewery.It was originally known as the Newlands Tavern, and has many original features including a curved bar and timber panelled walls. It was one of the major pub music venues in South London during the mid-1970s pub rock boom, with acts including Ian Dury, Elvis Costello, Joe Strummer and Dr. Feelgood. The pub was later renamed the Stuart Arms, before becoming The Ivy House. It is listed by Southwark London Borough Council as an asset of community value.The Ivy's House has been used as a set for many films including the 2015 Kray Brothers biopic Legend. In recent years the Ivy House has once again emerged as a live music venue, and is home to Neil March's Demerara Records monthly event Vanishing Point.

The Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich (formerly Waverley School) is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status in the East Dulwich area of the London Borough of Southwark, England. The school converted to academy status in September 2006 and is part of the not-for-profit Harris Federation of South London Schools sponsored by Lord Harris of Peckham.

The River Peck is a small stream in London that was enclosed in 1823. The stream is uncovered on the west side of Peckham Rye Park.In South Bermondsey it flows into the Earl's Sluice which has its confluence with the Thames at Deptford Wharf. Peckham means "homestead of the Peck".

St. Thomas the Apostle College is a Roman Catholic secondary school for boys in Nunhead, London. A co-educational Sixth Form was opened in 2015. The school was rebuilt and the new school building was opened by the Archbishop of Southwark, Peter Smith, in January 2013. The original Catholic chapel, an important feature in the life of the school, was retained and is the focus for the Catholic and pastoral life of the students. In September 2015, St Thomas the Apostle College expanded its provision by opening a co-educational Sixth Form.

Telegraph Hill is a largely residential conservation area bounded by Nunhead and Brockley and is an electoral ward just south of New Cross in the London Borough of Lewisham in southeast London, England.

The Montague Arms was a music venue located at 289 Queens Road, in the Telegraph Hill ward of Lewisham, on the borders of Peckham and New Cross in south-east London from 1967 until 2018. The pub venue was known for its eccentric decor; which included old fishing-boat lights, a 19th Century carriage containing a stuffed zebra, and an old diving suit.

Peckham Rye is an open space and road in the London Borough of Southwark in London, England. The roughly triangular open space lies to the south of Peckham town centre. It is managed by Southwark Council and consists of two contiguous areas, with Peckham Rye Common to the north and Peckham Rye Park to the south. The road Peckham Rye forms the western and eastern perimeter of the open space. Peckham Rye is also a ward of the London Borough of Southwark, forming part of the Camberwell and Peckham constituency.

Homestall Farm consisted of a farm house, barn, and substantial land surrounding it, and was located on the site of what is now Peckham Rye park in southeast London, England. The farm was acquired by the London County Council in 1894 for the sum of £51,000. The buildings were removed in 1908.

Haberdashers' Hatcham College (formerly Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College) is a state secondary school with academy status and a music specialism located in New Cross. The school was formerly a grammar school, then a comprehensive City Technology College and now an Academy operating between two sites near New Cross Gate in South-East London. In 2005 the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers established the Haberdashers' Aske's Academies Federation, which includes HAHC.

New Cross Fire Station is a Grade II listed building at 266 Queens Road, New Cross, London.It was built in 1893–94 and the architect was Robert Pearsall.George Arthur Roberts, founder and pioneer of the discussion and education groups of the fire service, was stationed here during World War II.
