Sikome Lake

Chaparral is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the southern edge of the city, south of the Stoney Trail. To the east it is bordered by the Bow River Valley, to the south by 194 Avenue SE, and to the west by Macleod Trail. It has three sub sections that are not officially recognized, Lake Chaparral, Chaparral Valley, and Chaparral Ridge. Chaparral was established in 1995, and named for the mediterranean climate biome. The centerpiece of the neighbourhood is a 32-acre (130,000 m2) artificial lake and a 21-acre (85,000 m2) park with two waterfalls. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor, who is currently Peter Demong.

Deer Run is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located in a bend of the Bow River, and is surrounded to the east and south by the Fish Creek Provincial Park. It is bounded to the north by North Deersaxon Circle and the community of Deer Ridge and to the west by Bow Bottom Trail. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961 and Deer Run was established in 1978. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.

It is located in the Bow River valley, and is bounded to the north by Canyon Meadows Drive, to the east by Deercliff Road and the Bow River, to the south by Deerfield Circle and the community of Deer Run and to the west by Bow Bottom Trail. Fish Creek Provincial Park is located immediately east. The land was annexed into the City of Calgary in 1961, and Deer Ridge was established in 1978. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.

Sundance is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of Macleod Trail, is bounded to the north and east by Midnapore and Fish Creek Provincial Park and to the south by Stoney Trail. The 33-acre (130,000 m2) man-made Sundance Lake was constructed in the middle of the community, and residents have easy access to the public beach of Sikome Lake. Sundance was established in 1982. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.

Parkland is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded to the north by Canyon Meadows Drive, to the east by Bow Bottom Trail and to the south and west by Fish Creek Provincial Park. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961 and Parkland was established in 1974. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.

McKenzie Lake is a suburban neighbourhood in southeast Calgary, Alberta. The community was in development from the mid-1980s through to present. The area is bordered by Deerfoot Trail on the east, Stoney Trail on the south, Fish Creek Provincial Park on the west, and 130th Ave SE on the north. The community is most known for its private lake and island in the centre of the community. Multimillion-dollar homes can be seen along both the ridge and the lake.

Walden is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located near the southern edge of the city, south of 194 Avenue SE and the neighbourhood of Chaparral. To the east it is bordered by the Bow River Valley, to the south by the neighbourhood of Legacy, and to the west by Macleod Trail. Developed by Genstar, Walden was officially approved by Calgary City Council in July 2007, with construction expected to commence in 2008. The neighbourhood covers 620 acres (2.5 km2), and is named after Walden, a book by Henry David Thoreau.When completed, Walden will consist of three "villages", a 160-acre (0.65 km2) park system. Walden falls within Ward 14 and is represented on City Council by a councillor.

Cranston is a master planned residential community in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Cranston contains a wide range of single family and multi family residential as well as commercial property. It has two public elementary schools and one separate board K-9 school, as well as Century Hall - a private Cranston residents recreation facility. It is bounded by Stoney Trail to the north and Fish Creek Park and the Bow River to the west and south. Its eastern boundary is Deerfoot Trail and the community of Auburn Bay and the mixed use town centre development of Seton and South Health Campus hospital. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 12 councillor.

Centennial High School is a high school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, teaching grades 10 through 12. The school's name was chosen as a reference to the 100th birthday of the province of Alberta in 2005, as the construction of the school was finished that year. The school opened for students to attend in 2004, while the school was still undergoing construction. The school is part of the Action for Bright Children Society.

Calgary-Fish Creek is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. The district is one of 87 mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district is largely urban located in the south portion of the city of Calgary. It was named after Fish Creek Provincial Park and was created in the 1979 boundary redistribution from the south halves of the electoral districts of Calgary-Glenmore and Calgary-Egmont. The district has been represented by only three MLA's since 1979. The first was Progressive Conservative William Payne who served here from 1979 to 1993 and the second is Heather Forsyth who has represented the district since 1993 was first elected under the Progressive Conservative banner but crossed the floor to the Wildrose Alliance in 2010. Forsyth was re-elected in the 2012 provincial election under the Wildrose banner. In 2015, Richard Gotfried was elected, as a Progressive Conservative.

It is bounded to the north by the community of Diamond Cove, to the east by the Bow River and Fish Creek Provincial Park, to the south by Canyon Meadows Drive, and to the west by Bow Bottom Trail. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961 and Queensland was established in 1973. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.
