Greater Binghamton Sports Complex

WSQX-FM is an NPR member radio station in south-central New York State. It operates in Binghamton, New York, on 91.5 MHz (FM), and has an effective radiated power of 3.5 kW. The signal is repeated in Greene by WSQN 88.1 MHz, in Corning by translator station W214AA on 90.7 MHz, and in Cooperstown by translator station W290CI on 105.9 MHz. WSQX-FM began broadcast at the beginning of 1995. The station had long aired an expanded schedule of NPR news programming, along with jazz music. However, on February 3, 2019, it switched to a mix of classical music during the week and jazz and folk music on weekends, consolidating all NPR news programming on sister station WSKG-FM. WSKG-TV and WSKG-FM are other broadcast stations owned and operated by the WSKG Public Telecommunications Council.

Johnson City High School is a public high school located in Johnson City, New York, a village in Broome County adjacent to Binghamton. It is operated by Johnson City Central School District. The school, originally situated on Main Street in downtown Johnson City, was relocated to where it currently stands on Reynolds Road.

SUNY Broome Community College (BCC or SUNY Broome) is a public community college in Broome County, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY). The college was founded in 1946 and has gone through several name changes. The school is located in the Town of Dickinson, just north of the City of Binghamton, New York. The college had a 2010 enrollment of over 6,000 students and has alumni of over 41,000. SUNY Broome serves students from a single campus on Upper Front Street in Dickinson, New York, though some classes are taught in Waverly, Owego, and within the City of Binghamton at smaller classroom centers. The campus' fifteen buildings comprise 610,000 square feet (57,000 m2) of space and feature athletic facilities such as baseball fields, soccer field, publicly accessible tennis courts, the Dick Baldwin Gym, named after the third winningest college basketball coach across both two- and four-year colleges, and the SUNY Broome Ice Center - a 758 seat hockey arena that is used by a variety of different local ice hockey & figure skating organizations throughout the community. There is also a theater which hosts campus performances of plays and other theatrical work, titled The Little Theater.

C. Fred Johnson Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. The carousel and its pavilion were built in 1923. The carousel is housed in a wooden, two story, 18-sided, enclosed pavilion topped by a six sided cupola. The carousel has 72 figures - all horses - each of which is a "jumper." It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company. It is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.Other carousels located in the Greater Binghamton Region: George F. Dickinson is a town in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 5,083 at the 2020 census. The town was named after Daniel S. Dickinson. The town is adjacent to Binghamton and forms a suburb to that city.

The Broome County Alms House, was located in the town of Dickinson, three miles north of Binghamton in Broome county, New York. The red brick building operated as a shelter for the poor, take care of the sick, disabled, mentally unwell, widowed, and orphaned persons in the community until c. 1960. The goal of the almshouse was to both help break the cycle of poverty and to care for members of the community who had no means of caring take of themselves. The building was demolished on February 5, 2010.

The Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company ("E-J") was a prosperous manufacturer of shoes based in New York's Southern Tier, with factories mostly located in the area's Triple Cities of Binghamton, Johnson City, and Endicott. An estimated 20,000 people worked in the company's factories by the 1920s, and an even greater number worked there during the boom years of the mid-1940s when, helped by footwear it produced for the military during the war years, it was producing 52 million pairs of shoes a year. During the early 1950s, the work force was still approximately 17,000 to 18,000. Today, EJ Footwear, LLC operates as a unit of Nelsonville, Ohio-based Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc.

Oakdale Commons (formerly Oakdale Mall) is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall in Johnson City, New York, United States, serving the Binghamton metropolitan area. The mall has a gross leasable area of 860,253 square feet (79,920 m2). The mall opened in 1975, by the development company, Interstate Properties. The mall features JCPenney and Dick's House of Sport. In 2023, BJ's Wholesale Club announced that they would be opening at the mall in an area that had previously been used to house The Bon-Ton.The later 2010s saw several department store retailers update their brick-and-mortar formats after being encroached upon to a degree by several digital retailers in recent years. In 2017, Macy's, which retains several larger outposts around Albany and Syracuse, announced that after a strategy had been elected by them to solely focus on their highest achieving locations that they would be leaving the shopping center. The previous Macy's outpost was reconstructed for Dick's House of Sports, a specialty concept by Dick's Sporting Goods which opened in 2023.In 2017, it was announced Sears would shutter as part of an ongoing decision to eliminate its brick-and-mortar format. The previous Sears outpost was reconstructed to feature "Factory by Beer Tree" a restaurant offering two levels of indoor and outdoor dining space, and Lourdes Health and Fitness which includes three large salt water pools, a steam room and sauna, and an enormous fitness floor.In April 2018, The Bon-Ton announced that it would close after it wasn't able to establish any new conditions to satisfy its established long-term debt. In March 2023, it was revealed that the previous location of The Bon-Ton will become an outpost for BJ's Wholesale Club.In September 2022, Burlington announced it would be transitioning to an entirely new outpost at Town Square Mall in Vestal.On April 21, 2023, it was announced that Dave & Busters would be opening at the mall.On October 14, 2022 , it was reported the mall envisions a $117 million plan to further develop the concourse while being known simply as Oakdale Commons. The mall developer proclaimed "We have significant plans for further development".

The village of Johnson City is in the town of Union and is a part of the "Triple Cities" along with Endicott and Binghamton. Johnson City lies to the west of Binghamton on the eastern side of the town of Union.

US Post Office-Johnson City is a historic post office building located at 307 Main Street in Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It was designed and built in 1934 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The interior features a mural by Frederic Charles Knight.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Located in the district are the previously listed Goodwill Theatre, United States Post Office, and Your Home Library.
