United States Post Office (Johnson City, New York)

Johnson City is a village in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 15,343 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village of Johnson City is in the town of Union and is a part of the "Triple Cities" along with Endicott and Binghamton. Johnson City lies to the west of Binghamton on the eastern side of the town of Union.

Goodwill Theatre is a historic movie theater located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It is a three-story steel frame building on a concrete foundation built in 1920. Its exterior is faced with red brick, cut limestone and marble in the Neoclassical style. It was a gift to the people of Johnson City by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), founder of Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.The theatre is currently a performing arts theatre.

Johnson City Historic District is a national historic district located at Johnson City, Broome County, New York. It encompasses 183 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a mixed, residential, commercial, and industrial core of Johnson City. It developed between about 1888 and 1966, and includes notable examples of Romanesque Revival, Gothic Revival, Colonial Revival, and Streamline Moderne style architecture. Located in the district are the previously listed Goodwill Theatre, United States Post Office, and Your Home Library. The Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company ("E-J") was a prosperous manufacturer of shoes based in New York's Southern Tier, with factories mostly located in the area's Triple Cities of Binghamton, Johnson City, and Endicott. An estimated 20,000 people worked in the company's factories by the 1920s, and an even greater number worked there during the boom years of the mid-1940s when, helped by footwear it produced for the military during the war years, it was producing 52 million pairs of shoes a year. During the early 1950s, the work force was still approximately 17,000 to 18,000. Today, EJ Footwear, LLC operates as a unit of Nelsonville, Ohio-based Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc.

C. Fred Johnson Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. The carousel and its pavilion were built in 1923. The carousel is housed in a wooden, two story, 18-sided, enclosed pavilion topped by a six sided cupola. The carousel has 72 figures - all horses - each of which is a "jumper." It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company. It is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.Other carousels located in the Greater Binghamton Region: George F. Your Home Public Library is a historic library building located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It is a Late Victorian style building built as a residence in 1885 and converted for use as a library in 1917. The original section of the building is two and one half stories and constructed of brick with a stone foundation, concrete and cast stone water tables, sills, lintels, and band courses. The design features projecting and recessed pavilions, a complex multi-gabled roof, a projecting dormer, and a turret with conical roof and tall weathervane. A large wing was added in 1920. Your Home Library was developed by Harry L. Johnson, brother of George F. Johnson (1857–1948), founder of Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Endicott Square Deal Arch is an historic "welcome arch" located at Endicott in Broome County, New York. It is one of two identical arches erected in 1920 in Endicott and in nearby Johnson City, known as the Johnson City Square Deal Arch. . It was constructed by Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company employees to honor George F. Johnson (1857–1948), their highly respected employer and benefactor.In 1995 the arch was dismantled and rebuilt with additional materials to increase clearance and span a widened Main Street.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Davis College (formerly Practical Bible College) is a private Baptist bible college. It is affiliated with the Baptist Convention of New York and endorsed by the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey. Originally located in Johnson City, New York, the school currently offers its BRE degree at the campus of the Word of Life Bible Institute, in Pottersville, New York, with which the school has a close relationship.

General Cigar Company–Ansco Camera Factory Building, also known as Agfa-Ansco, General Aniline and Film (GAF), and Anitec, is a historic factory complex located at Binghamton, Broome County, New York. It was originally built in 1927-1928 for the General Cigar Company; Ansco purchased the factory in 1937. The factory building is a four-story brick building with basement, five bays wide and 20 bays long. It has an intersecting four-story wing and two-story addition constructed in 1950. The building measures approximately 62 feet wide and 402 feet long. The powerhouse is a one-story, steel frame and brick building measuring 36 feet wide and 52 feet long. The buildings housed manufacturing operations of Ansco for cameras and photographic equipment. The factory closed in 1977.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is a 197 bed community hospital in Binghamton, New York, United States. In 1983, the hospital was selected by the US Federal Government to take part in a national cancer research project. In 2006, a flood cost the hospital several million dollars in damages.In 2016, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the first round of the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating. Our Lady of Lourdes received one star, and in 2019, received three stars. In 2016, Loudes Hospital also became a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network.In 2017, Lourdes was granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).In 2018, Lourdes was ranked as the 21st best hospital in New York according to the U.S. News Best Hospitals specialty rankings.

Oakdale Commons (formerly Oakdale Mall) is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall in Johnson City, New York, United States, serving the Binghamton metropolitan area. The mall has a gross leasable area of 860,253 square feet (79,920 m2). The mall opened in 1975, by the development company, Interstate Properties. The mall features JCPenney and Dick's House of Sport. In 2023, BJ's Wholesale Club announced that they would be opening at the mall in an area that had previously been used to house The Bon-Ton.The later 2010s saw several department store retailers update their brick-and-mortar formats after being encroached upon to a degree by several digital retailers in recent years. In 2017, Macy's, which retains several larger outposts around Albany and Syracuse, announced that after a strategy had been elected by them to solely focus on their highest achieving locations that they would be leaving the shopping center. The previous Macy's outpost was reconstructed for Dick's House of Sports, a specialty concept by Dick's Sporting Goods which opened in 2023.In 2017, it was announced Sears would shutter as part of an ongoing decision to eliminate its brick-and-mortar format. The previous Sears outpost was reconstructed to feature "Factory by Beer Tree" a restaurant offering two levels of indoor and outdoor dining space, and Lourdes Health and Fitness which includes three large salt water pools, a steam room and sauna, and an enormous fitness floor.In April 2018, The Bon-Ton announced that it would close after it wasn't able to establish any new conditions to satisfy its established long-term debt. In March 2023, it was revealed that the previous location of The Bon-Ton will become an outpost for BJ's Wholesale Club.In September 2022, Burlington announced it would be transitioning to an entirely new outpost at Town Square Mall in Vestal.On April 21, 2023, it was announced that Dave & Busters would be opening at the mall.On October 14, 2022 , it was reported the mall envisions a $117 million plan to further develop the concourse while being known simply as Oakdale Commons. The mall developer proclaimed "We have significant plans for further development".
