The Kardinal-Faulhaber-Straße is a street in the old town of Munich. It runs from Salvatorplatz in a southwesterly direction to Promenadeplatz.

Holnstein Palace (German: Palais Holnstein) is an historic building in Munich, southern Germany, which has been the residence of the Archbishop of Munich and Freising since 1818.

The Shopping mall Fünf Höfe (English: Five Courtyards) in the center of Munich (in the area of Salvator-, Theatiner-, Kardinal-Faulhaber-Straße) was created from 1998 to 2003 after the coring of a HypoVereinsbank building complex. In 2004, the Fünf Höfe was sold to DIFA (today Union Investment Real Estate AG) and since then the official name has been CityQuartier Fünf Höfe.

Salvatorkirche (Church of the Savior) is a gothic church in Munich, Germany, the former cemetery church of the Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady). Since 1829 the church has been used by Greek Orthodox Christians and it was the headquarters of the Metropolitan of Germany and Exarch of Central Europe. It is called "Transfiguration of the Savior" by the Greek Orthodox community. It was built in late Gothic style in 1493, later it was used as a storage. Leo von Klenze renovated the church for the use of the Greek community in Munich and designed also the Ikonostasis. The exterior was reconstructed in a gothic style, baroque parts were removed. During the nazi-period in Germany the famous mathematician Constantin Carathéodory worked as a church council.

The Arco-Palais is a commercial building in Munich's Old Town, Theatinerstraße 7, at the corner of Theatinerstraße / Maffeistraße. Together with the building at Maffeistraße 4, it forms a building block which is registered as a historical monument in the Bavarian Monument List.

The Bayerischer Hof on Promenadeplatz in the northwestern part of Munich is a five-star Grand Hotel. Established in 1841, it remains a destination for celebrities and guests of state in Munich. It is famous for hosting the Munich Security Conference and many celebrities.

The Komödie im Bayerischen Hof is a large private theater in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Comedies, musical comedies, musicals and revues are performed in the 570-seat theater.

The Theatinerstraße is a street in Munich's old town. It connects the Odeonsplatz with the southern lying Marienhof and houses a number of classical buildings and several shops. The street received its name due to the adjoining Theatinerkirche; it used to be called Hintere Schwabinger Gasse.

The Archdiocese of Munich and Freising (German: Erzbistum München und Freising, Latin: Archidioecesis Monacensis et Frisingensis) is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Bavaria, Germany. It is governed by the Archbishop of Munich and Freising, who administers the see from the co-cathedral in Munich, the Frauenkirche, which is never called in German Munich Cathedral. The other, much older co-cathedral is Freising Cathedral. The see was canonically erected in about 739 by Saint Boniface as the Diocese of Freising and later became a prince-bishopric. The diocese was dissolved in 1803 following the collapse of the Holy Roman Empire, although a titular bishop ruled until April 1, 1818, when Pope Pius VII elevated the diocese to an archdiocese with its new seat in Munich, rather than Freising. The archdiocese is divided into forty deaneries with 758 parishes. Its suffragan bishops are the Bishop of Augsburg, the Bishop of Passau, and the Bishop of Regensburg. The most famous archbishop was Joseph Ratzinger, who was elected as Pope Benedict XVI. The residence of the Archbishops of Munich and Freising is the Palais Holnstein in Munich.

The Frauenkirche (Full name: German: Dom zu Unserer Lieben Frau, lit. 'Cathedral of Our Dear Lady') is a church in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, that serves as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and seat of its Archbishop. It is a landmark and is considered a symbol of the Bavarian capital city. Although called "Münchner Dom" (Munich Cathedral) on its website and URL, the church is referred to as "Frauenkirche" by locals. Because of local height limits, the church towers are widely visible. As a result of the narrow outcome of a local plebiscite, city administration prohibits buildings with a height exceeding 99 m in the city center. Since November 2004, this prohibition has been provisionally extended outward, and consequently, no buildings may be built in the city over the aforementioned height. The south tower, which is normally open to those wishing to climb the stairs, will offer a unique view of Munich and the nearby Alps after its current renovation is completed.

The Theatine Church of St. Cajetan (German: Theatinerkirche St. Kajetan) is a Catholic church in Munich, southern Germany. Built from 1663 to 1690, it was founded by Elector Ferdinand Maria and his wife, Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, as a gesture of thanks for the birth of the long-awaited heir to the Bavarian crown, Prince Max Emanuel, in 1662. Now administered by the Dominican Friars, it is also known as the Dominican Priory of St. Cajetan. The church was built in Italian high-Baroque style, inspired by Sant'Andrea della Valle in Rome, designed by the Italian architect Agostino Barelli. His successor, Enrico Zuccalli, added two 66 meters high towers, originally not planned, and then finished the 71-metre-high (233 ft) dome in 1690. The church is 72 metres (236 ft) long and 15.5 metres (51 ft) wide. The facade in Rococo style was completed only in 1768 by François de Cuvilliés. Its Mediterranean appearance and yellow coloring became a well known symbol for the city and had much influence on Southern German Baroque architecture.

Drückebergergasse (English: "Shirker's Alley") is the popular name for Viscardigasse, a narrow, curbless pedestrian street, just over fifty metres long and paved with cobblestones throughout, in Munich, Germany. The street is officially named after the Swiss Baroque architect Giovanni Antonio Viscardi, but took its nickname from the 1930s, when locals could circumvent the nearby Nazi memorial to the martyrs of the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, thus avoiding the requirement to render a Hitler salute to the guarded structure. The alley has a memorial to those who resisted such Nazi tyranny, installed in 1995, in the form of a line of bronze cobbles, "Argumente" (English: "Arguments"). It was designed by the artist Bruno Wank.
