Manchester State Park is a 111-acre (45 ha) state park in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. It is situated on the east side of the Kitsap Peninsula with 3,400 feet (1,000 m) of shoreline facing Puget Sound. It was at one time a harbor defense installation for the nearby Bremerton, then a fuel supply depot and U.S. Navy fire-fighting station. The park contains a former torpedo warehouse, a mining casement, and a gun battery. Park activities include picnicking, camping, boating, fishing, hiking on 1.9 miles (3.1 km) of trails, birdwatching, volleyball, wildlife viewing, and horseshoes.

IslandWood is a non-profit environmental education organization with programs on Bainbridge Island, Seattle, and Woodinville in Washington.

Fort Ward Park is park located along Rich Passage on the southern end of Bainbridge Island in Washington. Fort Ward Park is part of the Bainbridge Island Metro Park and Recreation District, on land which the former military base, Fort Ward, was located. It was a state park from 1960 to 2011 but is now locally managed. Covering 137 acres (0.55 km2) of dense forest and underbrush, clam digging, birdwatching and scuba diving are some of the activities available for park visitors.

Fort Ward is a former United States Army coastal artillery fort, and later, a Navy installation located on the southwest side of Bainbridge Island, Washington, along Rich Passage.

Waterman is an unincorporated community in Kitsap County, in the U.S. state of Washington.

Eagledale Park is a 7-acre (28,000 m2) park located in the neighborhood of Eagledale on Bainbridge Island in the state of Washington, U.S.. Like several other parks on Bainbridge Island, Eagledale Park comprises land that was once a military installation. Today the park features tennis courts, an off-leash dog park, a picnic shelter, a children's play area, a sand volleyball court and a pottery studio. In the 1950s the site was used as part of the Project Nike anti-aircraft missile system. The park occupies some of the highest ground on Bainbridge Island. On a clear day, Mount Rainier may be seen from the park. The park is located on Bainbridge Island at 5055 Rose Avenue N.E.

Manchester is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,714 at the 2020 census. Manchester is located on the Puget Sound approximately 10 miles from downtown Seattle, and is adjacent to county seat Port Orchard to its east. Today, Manchester labels itself as a village. It is small in size but is home to a Kitsap Regional Library (KRL) branch, a post office, an elementary school, and a beachfront park to serve its residents.

Illahee State Park is an 82-acre (33 ha) Washington state park located in the hamlet of Illahee, just north of East Bremerton, on Port Orchard Bay, part of Puget Sound. The word "Illahee" means earth or country in the Native language Chinuk Wawa. The park was established when Kitsap County donated 13 acres to the state in 1934. The park's old-growth stand is home to one of the nation's oldest Pacific yews, which has been standing for approximately 400 years. Park activities include picnicking, camping, hiking, boating, and shellfish harvesting.

Illahee is an unincorporated community in Kitsap County, Washington, United States, between Bremerton and Silverdale. It is home to Illahee State Park and other local parks. The word "Illahee" means earth or country in the Native language Chinuk Wawa.

Port Blakely is a community of Bainbridge Island, Washington in the western United States. It is located on the east side of the island, slightly to the south. The center of Port Blakely is generally defined as the intersection of Blakely Hill Road and Blakely Avenue NE, although the wider area is generally also known as Port Blakely. The community's name was at one time spelled as Port Blakeley.

Winslow is the name of the downtown area of the city of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and is the original name of the city, named for shipbuilder Winslow Hall. It encompasses the area around the main street, Winslow Way, and is made up of approximately 1.5 square miles (3.9 km2) overlooking Eagle Harbor. The city has occupied the entire space of Bainbridge Island since February 28, 1991, when the 1.5-square-mile (3.9 km2) city of Winslow (incorporated on August 9, 1947), annexed the rest of the island after a narrowly passed November 1990 referendum. It officially remained the city of Winslow for several months, until November 7, 1991, at which time the city of Winslow was renamed the city of Bainbridge Island.Winslow Way runs about ten city blocks, and is grounded on both sides by local businesses, including a bookstore, several galleries, and multiple restaurants and bakeries. A ferry terminal, with service to Seattle's Colman Dock, boards at the east end of Winslow Way. In 2010, the census block group in which Winslow is located had a median household income of $42,000, less than half of the Island's median household income of $94,000 and one-third of several of the Island's wealthiest block groups, and also $10,000 less than national and statewide averages. More than half of Winslow households live in rental units, compared to 20% of households across the Island. These differences have in some cases created tension between Winslow and the remainder of the Island, which were highlighted during the successful initiative to annex Winslow and the remainder of the Island into a new jurisdiction noted above.
