Illahee, Washington

Illahee State Park is an 82-acre (33 ha) Washington state park located in the hamlet of Illahee, just north of East Bremerton, on Port Orchard Bay, part of Puget Sound. The word "Illahee" means earth or country in the Native language Chinuk Wawa. The park was established when Kitsap County donated 13 acres to the state in 1934. The park's old-growth stand is home to one of the nation's oldest Pacific yews, which has been standing for approximately 400 years. Park activities include picnicking, camping, hiking, boating, and shellfish harvesting.

Enetai is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Kitsap County, Washington. The population was 2,497 at the 2020 census.

Port Orchard, part of Washington state's Puget Sound, is the strait that separates Bainbridge Island on the east from the Kitsap Peninsula on the west. It was named in May 1792 by George Vancouver after Harry Masterman Orchard, ship's clerk of Vancouver's ship Discovery.

Board members represent the five geographic regions of Kitsap County - which include Bainbridge, Bremerton, North Kitsap, South Kitsap, and Central Kitsap - and are appointed for five-year terms.Along with these funds, the Library relies on local civic organizations, seven Friends of the Library organizations, Bainbridge Library, Inc. and the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation, which contributes approximately $300,000 combined annually to support programs and the maintenance of Library spaces. Additionally, the efforts of these groups have made possible the building of a new library in Kingston and the building of a new library in Silverdale.

Manette is located on Point Herron, commonly known as the Manette Peninsula, in the body of water known as Port Orchard, part of Puget Sound.

Burke Bay is a small bay in Kitsap County in Washington state. It is located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Puget Sound, west of Seattle and Bainbridge Island. Nearby communities include Brownsville, Illahee and Keyport. Close towns are Bremerton, Poulsbo and Silverdale. A strong military presence strengthens the county's economy. The unincorporated community of Brownsville, Washington is located on the north side of Burke Bay.

Rich Passage is a tidal strait in Puget Sound, allowing access to Bremerton, Washington, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Sinclair Inlet, and Dyes Inlet. It separates Bainbridge Island from the Manchester area of Kitsap Peninsula. The Seattle–Bremerton ferry, part of the Washington State Ferries, travels the length of Rich Passage on its route. In addition to the many ferry trips each way per day, tugs with hawser tows and various types of naval and recreational craft all contribute to a considerable collision hazard. Fort Ward Park and Manchester State Park are located on the Rich Passage waterfront.Rich Passage was named by Charles Wilkes during the Wilkes Expedition of 1838–1842, to honor William Rich, the expedition's botanist.

Brownsville is an unincorporated community in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. It is located north of Bremerton and due east of Silverdale and on the north side of Burke Bay on the Kitsap Peninsula. Brownsville has a quiet and fairly remote harbor and marina. The community is primarily residential, but it has a locally famous deli, a convenience store called the Daily Stop, a meat market, and a kayak rental shop.

The Manette Bridge was a steel truss bridge that spanned the Port Washington Narrows in Bremerton, Washington, USA. It connected the community of Manette, Washington to downtown Bremerton. Although it is not part of a numbered state highway, it is one of four bridges specifically designated by state law to be maintained by the Washington Department of Transportation. The bridge was 82 feet (25 m) above the water, and had a horizontal clearance of 321 feet (98 m) between the piers.
