The JW Marriott New Orleans is a 331 feet (101 m), modern 30-story high-rise hotel in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. The 4-star, 501-room hotel currently stands as the 13th-tallest building in the city, and the 3rd-tallest hotel.

Loft 523 is a boutique hotel located at 523 Gravier Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the New Orleans Central Business District. The building was erected in the 1880s as a carriage and dry-goods warehouse, and it was purchased and renovated by real-estate developer Sean Cummings. It features eighteen loft style guestrooms, three of which are penthouses.

New Orleans Marriott, located at 555 Canal Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 42-story, 449 feet (137 m)-tall skyscraper. The Marriott is the seventh tallest building in New Orleans. Millionaire alleged murderer Robert Durst had been staying at the hotel when he was arrested by FBI agents on March 14, 2015.

Creole Kosher Kitchen was a kosher restaurant in the city of New Orleans. The restaurant, which was located in the French Quarter, was forced to close following severe devastation from the hurricane that ultimately led to the relocation of the family business to Los Angeles.Creole Kosher Kitchen was started in 2000 by Gideon Daneshrad, also known as Chef Gideon, a local businessman who had operated several area shops. Gideon's goal was to provide an escape from the non-kosher food that filled the tourist area of New Orleans. The food served replicated the style of traditional New Orleans food, minus non-kosher ingredients such as shrimp and crawfish. The location was a popular hangout for Jewish and non-Jewish travelers alike, and was one of the only kosher restaurants in the city. When Katrina struck, the Daneshrads, a well-known family in the New Orleans area, traveled to Los Angeles, where members of their family lived. Following the storm, they returned briefly to New Orleans to assess the damage to their property. Soon after, they permanently settled in Los Angeles, where Chef Gideon contemplated bringing his recipes to the area. Following Katrina, the other kosher restaurants in the Greater New Orleans area reopened. Creole Kosher Kitchen, however, has remained closed. An Italian cafe currently operates out of its former location.

International House is a boutique hotel in New Orleans’ central business district, located two blocks from the French Quarter, at 221 Camp Street. Described by Frommer's as “a modern space that still pays tribute to its locale,” its design mixes contemporary and traditional elements reflective of New Orleans’ unusual culture. The UpStairs Lounge arson attack, sometimes called the UpStairs Lounge Fire, occurred on June 24, 1973, at a gay bar called the UpStairs (or Up Stairs) Lounge located on the second floor of the three-story building at 604 Iberville Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. Thirty-two people died and at least fifteen were injured as a result of fire or smoke inhalation. The official cause is still listed as "undetermined origin". The primary suspect, a gay man with a history of psychiatric impairment named Roger Dale Nunez who had been ejected from the bar earlier in the day, was never charged and killed himself in November 1974. No evidence has ever been found that the arson was motivated by hatred or overt homophobia.Until the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting, in which 49 people were murdered, the UpStairs Lounge arson attack was the deadliest attack on a gay club in U.S. history.

The Pickwick Club is a private gentlemen's club in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1857, The Pickwick Club and the Mistick Krewe were originally one group comprising two organizations. After The Boston Club, The Pickwick Club is the second oldest remaining in the city.

The U.S. Custom House, also known as the Old Post Office and Custom House, is a historic government building at 423 Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was designated a National Historic Landmark, receiving this designation in 1974 and noted for its Egyptian Revival columns. Construction on the building, designed to house multiple federal offices and store goods, began in 1848 and didn't finish until 1881 due to redesigns and the American Civil War. The U.S. Customs offices have been located there since the late 19th century. In 2008, it became home to the Audubon Insectarium, the largest free-standing American museum dedicated to insects.

Banks' Arcade was a multi-use commercial structure in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The building on the block bounded by Gravier Street, Tchoupitoulas Street, Natchez Street, and Magazine Street, in the district then known as Faubourg Sainte Marie, later known as the American sector and now called the Central Business District. The building's central axis, originally called Banks' Alley or the Arcade Passage, is now a walk street called Arcade Place within Picayune Place Historic District.

Exchange Place, also known as Exchange Alley and Exchange Passage, is a pedestrian zone that was created in 1831 originally as a small street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Its original name was Passage de la Bourse, or Exchange Passage. The street was commissioned by the banker and merchant Samuel Jarvis Peters, who thought to build an exchange closer to Canal Street. It was built in coherence with the Merchants' Exchange Building on Royal Street as it acted as a back entrance. The street has been a hidden alleyway to many shops and restaurants over the years.

Hotel Monteleone is a family-owned and operated hotel located at 214 Royal Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. The hotel includes the only high-rise building in the interior French Quarter and is well known for its Carousel Piano Bar & Lounge, a rotating bar. Built in 1886 in the Beaux-Arts architectural style with an eclectic flair, Hotel Monteleone is a historic landmark and a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The hotel has 570 guest rooms, including 50 suites.

The Carousel Piano Bar & Lounge is the only revolving bar in New Orleans, Louisiana. The bar is inside the Hotel Monteleone and overlooks Royal Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Installed in 1949, the 25-seat circular bar turns on 2,000 large steel rollers, powered by a 1⁄4 hp (190 W) motor. The bar rotates at a rate of one revolution every 15 minutes. In addition to the rotating bar, an adjoining room includes booths and tables with live entertainment offered nightly.
