Moulton St Mary

Beighton is a village and civil parish in the Broadland district of Norfolk, England, about two miles (3 km) South-West of Acle about 12.8 miles (20.6 km) to Norwich. It covers an area of 7.63 km2 (2.95 sq mil) and has a population of 436 in 185 households according to the 2011 census. Today, Beighton incorporates the old parish of Moulton St Mary, and both parishes are mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The All Saints church is situated within Beighton, along Church Hill. The church was described in 1870 as: The church is decorated English, and was recently restored.

In 1931 the parish had a population of 40. It has a church called St Edmund which is in ruins. Southwood Hall is a post medieval great house and serves as a wedding venue.

On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Strumpshaw.The villages name means 'Homestead/village of Hasu's people'.Its church, St Mary, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. The best-known former incumbent of Hassingham is the Rev. William Haslam, a nineteenth-Century evangelical, better known as the Vicar who was converted by his own sermon. Haslam held the living, together with that of nearby Buckenham from 1863 to 1871, having been presented to the living by Sir Thomas Beauchamp of Langley Hall. During Haslam's ministry in Hassingham, it was said that most of the population of this small village professed evangelical conversion. Haslam was supported by his wife and the preacher Catherine Hooper who they had met in Bath.

Limpenhoe is a village and former civil parish, now in the Cantley, Limpenhoe and Southwood, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It is located on the north bank of the River Yare, between the villages of Cantley and Reedham, 8.2 miles (13.2 km) south-west of Great Yarmouth and 10.8 miles (17.4 km) south-east of Norwich. In 1931 the parish had a population of 156.Limpenhoe is home to Limpenhoe Meadows, a site of Special Scientific Interest and the church of St Boltolph, a village hall and a private fishing lake. According to the local legend of Callow Pit, the handle on the door of St Boltolphs church was originally from a treasure chest guarded by the devil in a nearby bog. The village sign was designed by local artist Sue McNeil and was erected in 2012.Situated within the marshes of Limpenhoe is a drainage mill first commissioned by William Thorold in 1831, however it requires extensive restoration.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican round-tower church near the village of Moulton St Mary, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands some 4 kilometres (2 mi) to the south of Acle in an isolated position adjacent to a farm.

Cantley Marshes is a 272.1-hectare (672-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Norwich in Norfolk. It is managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, The Broads Special Area of Conservation and the Mid-Yare National Nature Reserve.This site in the Yare valley is mainly species-rich grazing marsh with areas of wet alder carr and tall herb fen along the river bank. Invertebrates include two nationally rare dragonflies, and the marshes have several important breeding bird species and an internationally important population of wintering wigeon.

Limpenhoe Meadows is a 12-hectare (30-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Reedham in Norfolk. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.This area of unimproved fen grassland in the valley of the River Yare has a network of dykes. The soils vary from alluvial clays in the valley bottom to poorly drained peats higher up. The meadows are species-rich with some uncommon plants. Aquatic plants in the dykes include the nationally rare sharp-leaved pondweed.The site is private land with no public access.

In 2011 the built-up area had a population of 2,719 and the built-up area sub division had a population of 2,493. In 1931 the parish had a population of 568.
