Hassingham is a village in the civil parish of Strumpshaw, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England, about ten miles east of Norwich. In 1931 the parish had a population of 114. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Strumpshaw.The villages name means 'Homestead/village of Hasu's people'.Its church, St Mary, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. The best-known former incumbent of Hassingham is the Rev. William Haslam, a nineteenth-Century evangelical, better known as the Vicar who was converted by his own sermon. Haslam held the living, together with that of nearby Buckenham from 1863 to 1871, having been presented to the living by Sir Thomas Beauchamp of Langley Hall. During Haslam's ministry in Hassingham, it was said that most of the population of this small village professed evangelical conversion. Haslam was supported by his wife and the preacher Catherine Hooper who they had met in Bath.

Langley Abbey was an abbey of Premonstratensian Canons in Langley Green, now in the civil parish of Langley with Hardley, Norfolk, England. The monastery was founded by Robert fitzRoger in 1195.There are remains of the church and barn as well as earthworks of other buildings and fish ponds. The site was partially restored and opened to the public as a museum in 2010.It is a Grade I listed building.

Cantley railway station is on the Wherry Lines in the East of England, serving the village of Cantley, Norfolk. It is 10 miles (16 km) down the line from Norwich on the routes to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth and is situated between Buckenham and Reedham. Its three-letter station code is CNY.

Cantley is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Cantley, Limpenhoe and Southwood, in the Broadland district, in the English county of Norfolk. Cantley is within the Broads Special Protection Area and lies on the north bank of the River Yare, some 17 km east of Norwich and 15 km south-west of Great Yarmouth. In the 2011 census, Cantley had a population of 733 people living in 279 households.

Poplar Farm Meadows, Langley is a 7.5-hectare (19-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Loddon in Norfolk. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.This calcareous fen on the edge of the flood plain of the River Yare is spring fed. It is managed by light summer grazing and the flora is diverse, with some uncommon species. There are also areas of tall fen and the site is crossed by dykes which have clear spring water and a variety of aquatic plants.The site is private land with no public access.

Langley with Hardley is a parish in the county of Norfolk, England, about a mile east of Loddon. It covers an area of 15.09 km2 (5.83 sq mi) and had a population of 489 in 161 households at the 2001 census, reducing marginally to 488 at the 2011 Census.The church of Hardley, St Margaret, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. Langley Abbey in the parish is now a museum which can be visited. Langely Dike and Hardley Dike on the River Yare are both part of the Norfolk Broads waterways, however offering only private moorings.

Buckenham is a small village in the civil parish of Strumpshaw, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England, situated on the northern bank of the River Yare around 7 miles (11 km) south-east of Norwich. In 1931 the parish had a population of 128.

Mid-Yare NNR is a national nature reserve in Norfolk, east of Norwich, established by English Nature and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). The reserve is made up of four RSPB reserves: Strumpshaw Fen, Buckenham Marshes and Cantley Marshes on the north bank of the Yare, and Surlingham Church Marsh on the south bank.The reserve consists of floodplains along the River Yare, and the total area is 7.8 km2. It centres on the Strumpshaw area. The alder carr and willow carr support the swallowtail butterfly and the Norfolk hawker dragonfly Aeshna isosceles, as well as marsh harriers, bearded tits and Cetti's warblers. The wet grasslands hold internationally important numbers of Eurasian wigeon, nationally important numbers of European white-fronted goose, and Britain's largest flock of bean goose, as well as northern lapwing, common redshank and common snipe. The RSPB controls the water levels, maintains the dykes, cuts the reed beds and keeps disturbance of the wildlife to a minimum.

St Nicholas Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Buckenham, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands among fields to the north of the River Yare.

Moulton St Mary is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Beighton, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It is about 2 miles south of Acle. The village has a garden centre and a car garage. In 1931 the parish had a population of 228.Its Church of St Mary is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. It has a canonical sundial on the south wall. The church is redundant and under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

Buckenham Marshes RSPB reserve is a nature reserve located on the northern bank of the River Yare in the English county of Norfolk. The reserve is located around 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Norwich near the village of Buckenham. The site, which is in The Broads, is managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The reserve consists of areas of reedbeds, grazing marsh and wet woodlands featuring species such as alder and willow. Areas of open water provide additional habitats. Key bird species include bean geese which over-winter at the site, the only location they regularly do so in England, lapwing and wigeon. An established rookery borders the site with up to 80,000 rooks roosting at the site, the largest rookery in Britain.The RSPB Strumpshaw Fen reserve borders Buckenham Marshes to the west. Both reserves lie within the Mid-Yare National Nature Reserve and form part of the Yare Broads and Marshes Site of Special Scientific Interest. The reserve is adjacent to Buckenham railway station with the Wherry Lines railway line marking its northern boundary.
