Embarcadero West

The Old Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Building, now known as the Bently Reserve, was the main headquarters building of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for nearly sixty years. The building is located at 400 Sansome Street, in the Financial District of San Francisco. Designed by George W. Kelham, the building has an Ionic colonnade that is pure Beaux-Arts, while the upper building is in the new Moderne fashion of 1924. The banking lobby at the Sansome Street entrance contains a mural by Jules Guerin, the artist who created the palette for the 1915 Panama–Pacific International Exposition. The Old Federal Reserve was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.In 1983, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco relocated to larger facilities at 101 Market Street, and the 400 Sansome Street location was sold to private developers who rented out the space. Prominent law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe was headquartered in the building until 2002, when the firm moved out of the space. The building is currently owned by private developers Bently Holdings, who currently rent the upper floors as office space. The Banking Hall and board rooms are booked for fundraisers, events, meetings, and conferences.

Le Méridien San Francisco is a luxury 360-room hotel in the financial district of San Francisco, California. The property was formerly the Park Hyatt San Francisco. HEI Hotels & Resorts bought the Park Hyatt from Strategic Hotel Capital in 2006 and rebranded it as a Le Méridien hotel, under franchise from Starwood. In 2010, Chesapeake Lodging Trust bought the hotel from HEI for $143 million. Chesapeake was acquired in 2019 by Park Hotels & Resorts. In 2021, KHP Capital Partners bought the hotel from Park for $222 million.

One Embarcadero Center is a class-A office skyscraper in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. The building is part of the Embarcadero Center complex of six interconnected buildings and one off-site extension. The skyscraper, completed in 1971, stands 569 ft (173 m) tall with 45 stories without its flagpole. One Embarcadero Center is the second-tallest building out of the entire complex, standing one foot shorter than Four Embarcadero Center, which is the tallest in the complex.As of 2021, Boston Properties owns the building.Part of Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation was filmed in One Embarcadaro. The Laughing Policeman starring Walter Matthau and Bruce Dern also was filmed at One Embarcadero Center.

The 101 California Street Shooting was a mass shooting on July 1, 1993, in San Francisco, California. The killings sparked a number of legal and legislative actions that were precursors to the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, H.R. 3355, 103rd Congress. The Act took effect in 1994 and expired in September 2004 after the expiration of a sunset provision. At the time, the incident was the deadliest mass shooting in the Bay Area's history, being surpassed 28 years later by the 2021 San Jose shooting.

The Tadich Grill is a seafood restaurant located in the Financial District neighborhood of San Francisco, California, United States. It is the oldest continuously running restaurant in San Francisco, having opened in 1849 as a coffee stand. In the 1920s, the Tadich Grill claimed to be the first American restaurant to grill seafood over mesquite charcoal, a traditional Croatian method.

The Bank of Italy Building, also known as the Clay-Montgomery Building, is a building in San Francisco, California. This eight-story building became the headquarters of A. P. Giannini's Bank of Italy (precursor to the Bank of America) in 1908 after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire destroyed the original bank building on Montgomery Avenue (now Columbus Avenue) in the nearby neighborhood of North Beach. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978 for its association with Giannini, who revolutionized retail banking in the early 20th century.

The Bank of California Building is a 1908 Greco-Roman style structure with a brutalist, 312 ft (95 m), 22-story tower annexed in 1967 at 400 California Street in the financial district of San Francisco, California.Union Bank acquired the building in 1996 as part of its merger with Bank of California.

The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is a luxury hotel that occupies the top 11 floors of 48 story office tower of 345 California Center at 222 Sansome Street in the financial district of San Francisco, California. Completed in 1986, the 345 California Center tower is the fifth-tallest in the city, at 211.8 m (695 ft). Initially planned as condominiums, the twin towers of hotel were situated at 45-degree angles relative to the rest of the building, connected to each other by several glass skybridges that offer views of the San Francisco Bay Area. The hotel opened in 1986 as the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco. In February 2015, the hotel was sold to Loews Hotels and renamed the Loews Regency San Francisco. In May 2019, Loews sold the hotel to investment company Westbrook Partners. The hotel closed for renovations at the end of 2019, and the Four Seasons Hotels group assumed management, renaming it "Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero" (although the Embarcadero runs several blocks away from the building). The hotel was originally set to reopen on May 1, 2020, but the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the opening to be postponed to October 1, 2020,. As the pandemic quickly worsened, the newly-opened hotel soon closed again, on December 20, 2020. It reopened on June 16, 2021.

345 California Center is a 48-story office tower in the financial district of San Francisco, California. Completed in 1986, the 211.8 m (695 ft) tower is the fifth tallest in the city after the Salesforce Tower, Transamerica Pyramid, 181 Fremont, and 555 California Street if the spires are included. It was originally proposed to be 30 m (98 ft) taller. The building was developed by Norland Properties, a private real estate investment firm led by Hany Ben-Halim. 345 California is in the middle of a block with historic buildings on each of the four corners. Initially planned as condominiums, the top 11 floors of the building are the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero, located in twin towers set at 45-degree angles to the rest of the building. Several glass skybridges offer views of the San Francisco Bay Area. The hotel has the street address 222 Sansome, with a different entrance.

425 California Street is a 26-story high-rise office building on California and Sansome Streets in San Francisco, California. It is the headquarters for Cahill Contractors. It was completed in 1968.

Old Waldorf was a music venue located in San Francisco, California. The famous club was located at 444 Battery St, and was originally opened by Jeffrey Pollack in 1976 before selling it to Bill Graham who closed it in 1983. During its time Old Waldorf hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Warren Zevon, AC/DC, Devo, Dire Straits, Blue Öyster Cult, Iggy Pop, Blondie, Rory Gallagher, Cheap Trick, Metallica, Pat Benatar, Journey, R.E.M., Television, Spirit, Poco, Afrika Bambaataa, Gary Moore, U2, Dead Kennedys, Albert King, The Tubes, Elvin Bishop, Les Paul, Peter Tosh and many more The Punch Line comedy club now occupies part of Old Waldorf's location.

The Apollo is a historic storeship that is buried at a location in downtown San Francisco, California, at the site of the Old Federal Reserve Bank. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Parts of the ship have been uncovered, most recently in 1921 and 1925. Photographs from the 1921 uncovering exist. The 1925 excavation revealed coins from 1797, 1825, and 1840, a gold nugget, and assorted navigational pieces. One of numerous buried ships within San Francisco, it is an archeological site, listed at least partially for its potential to yield information in the future.The ship was acquired by Moses Yale Beach of the New York Sun in 1848 for the California Gold Rush, and was later converted into the "Apollo Saloon", serving alcohol, donoughts and coffee.
